I could not even begin to list the wonderful "abundant" life blessings I have since leaving TWI and that I'm ....ed I shoulda/woulda had if, perhaps, I had never gotten involved with and sucked into the world of TWI, except for the wonderful folks I've gotten to know here because of it. Tommy, this is awesome!! I am currently taking care of a friend overcoming the devastation chemo and radiation has taken on her body. She's on oxygen and a feeding tube - unable to swallow but a half-teaspoon of water without aspirating - and wondering if this is as good as it gets. Your story is encouraging and inspiring. :) I am so happy for you!!

Yes and I remember quite a few threads about that here at the cafe - or maybe WayDale. It was one of the things I fought tooth and nail shortly before leaving TWI. They perverted all kinds of scripture to mean only "the household" with the only "true" household of God being those who are "rightly dividing the word of truth"..... gee, who could that be? Now, I don't so much care what other people think about the Bible or God. I figure Jesus boiled everything down to "Love God and Love your neighbor" - neighbor being everyone else and God being God as you see and worship (Allah, Jehovah, Mother Nature, etc.). If you're doing those two things, no problem-o. None of us has a corner market on the truth and not one of us can say without a doubt that we're correct and someone else is wrong. But, that's just my opinion, ymmv.

Yeah, there are some folks I hope to find some day to apologize to for bringing them into the grip of TWI. Lucky for me, most all of them saw through the facade rather quickly and never suffered like we did. Oakspear and I both pointed out errors in the teachings and were constantly pointing out the hypocrisy and contradictions. We were trouble makers in our areas. They thought I was a headache BEFORE they discovered I was insurgent. Back then there were people who were afraid to talk to me for fear of being labeled a troublemaker with me - others sought me out to hear what I thought, but were too scared to agree with me openly.

Apparently, there was a couple here - Joe and Paula - I think, their names escape me now.... They had great paying jobs and a custom built house with a full on sound room and wiring throughout the house expressly for the purpose of running classes. They gave all that up to move to NC into a tiny townhome they shared with someone else to go on staff full time. I wondered all the time if they kicked themselves for doing that. Now, I just pity them.

$10 Million in a Medical Fund and they won't even help their own people? I guess the way they treated Mrs. Weirwille says it all. So many people I knew were barely making ends meet. Those who actually had good jobs and/or rich parents were definitely favored in my area. It saddens and appalls me to read that people on staff are having to take advantage of government programs. I'm glad that my ex had a small savings and a little something in a 401K when he left me to go on staff. At least he is a very healthy person and will not need to experience the crummy healthcare plan.... at least, I hope he won't. It makes me extremely glad that we never went WOW, WD or on staff when we were married. I have a great job, a nice home, my dream car and the truly "more abundant" life that I thought I would be living while involved with TWI. We were chasing an impossible dream, weren't we?

I once read that people who don't remember their dreams are usually those folks who hit the ground running as soon as the alarm goes off or they wake up. Those of us who hit the snooze a few times or lay in bed for a bit before jumping up to face the day are more likely to remember dreams. Before and for a couple of years after I left I had some horrific, wild and bizarre dreams about TWI. Now, not so much anymore. One that kept recurring was me being chased down a dark, narrow alley by TWI folks I knew and being attacked. I would look up and see the Moynihans and my ex laughing as they viciously kicked me while I was down. I had recurring dreams about trying to find a bathroom or trying to find privacy to go to the bathroom. An interpretation I read about that was that it signified "dumping" thoughts, beliefs and parts of our life. I, too, kept a dream diary for a while because some of them were so vivid and strange.

Wow.... words fail me. Dooj and Groucho, I am so sorry! Death leaves a heartache no one can heal, Love leaves a memory no one can steal.

Apparently they are running classes there. :blink: I am sorry for this man. :(

Soul Searcher, I think it's important to note that at one time TWI was full of very zealous hippie, Jesus-Lovin', God is Great, Love is All We Need" kinda folks. They were gentle, kind, genuinely loving and sincere in their want to help folks. :) When you have folks with genuinely good, sincere intentions and loads of integrity, you have the foundation for a great organization. Unfortunately, TWI, especially vee pee, craiggers and their cronies, who exploit the good nature and holy intentions of others. That's the beginning of the corrosion of TWI and facilitated the destruction of individual lives. Depending on the leadership of those wholesome, genuine folks --- some were protected and ignorant of the abuses going on - others were mind-warped ever so slowly into justifying the abusive practices and abused themselves.... even more were fed by the greed monster of what they could gain by "selling out" and getting others to "buy in" to the b.s. I, myself, don't know where to draw the line. *shrug* I wanted to help folks, but looking back, I turned some "newbies" into the most controlling, emotional blackmailing aresholes there are.... I regret it to this day. At the time, I thought I was doing the right thing and that these were folks I just wasn't "mature enough" to handle. Looking back... they were instrumental in planting those seeds of doubt for me and - in essence - helped me more than I helped them. :)

Ha! Bean counter that I am, I've been figuring inside sales quotas vs. salaries lately and, I'd have to say it's pretty pathetic and, given TWI's success vs. the $$ outlayed, it's pretty darn pathetic. Lends much weight to the theory that they are only keeping TWI as viable as they need to in order to support the lifestyle of those able to take notes to AP that say "I'm going shopping tomorrow and need $1,000" ..... Given the amount of ABS tucked away and invested, I'll say TWI will be around for many years to come regardless of the "membership". BTW, which end of the Goldman-Sachs Fraud were they on?

I have numerous threads, posts, papers, personally transcribed tapes, teachings, etc. from WayDale, GSpot, STS tapes, etc. that I'd like to keep in a central location I can reach from anywhere without having to search through beaucoup CDs, computers etc...... I'm on a Mac now and my .doc files don't open on it - it's a pain to clean off my desk so I can get to my pc and wade through stacks of CDs trying desperately not to scratch them in order to access the files. I don't see myself as using pc at home unless absolutely necessary and work is more and more difficult since the network nazi and I don't always see eye to eye. Anyone know of the best, cheap (preferably "free") way to do this? Thanks much!!

Thanks, Karwin. :) My wary brain is telling me that they are bragging on NZ because there are hardly any US wayfers who can verify any stats they may be throwing at them. <_< Maybe NZ *did* really have a "successful" term, but how does that compare to days gone past? Is it successful compared to US WDs who don't get any new people? Just getting one or two would be reason to brag, no? And, I wonder how many make it through the whole class and, if any do, how many of those stick around? TWI just continues to twist the facts to suit their pockets. What happened to Rise and Expansion? More like Shrinkage! in my not so humble opinion.

:biglaugh: Thanks! I needed that today! Y'all are cracking me up. I wouldn't be surprised if people had experiences of one kind or another there. It was, what, a convent? Then a sanitarium - but not the kind for crazy people - just for healing with the water treatment being the most sought after, right? Then taken over by TWI? I don't recall the whole history. Alls I remember about my time there is craiggers screaming and being so friggin' tired all the time that I could barely keep my eyes open. Mother Mary could've stood in front of me and told me to get the heck outta there and I wouldn't have heard her.

I found my copy at home but think it's too long to post here and I don't find a link to it at the cafe. I'll be glad to e-mail it to whatever address you'd like. I also have my notes on Rico's teaching to the WC on debt which *starts* with Chris' conclusion and winds a circuitous path among many tangents which utterly confuse and get off the topic of actual monetary debt. :wacko: The link is basically the notes, but I'll share my copy sans GSpot comments, if preferred. In addition, here is a link to a thread where I post correspondence between Moneyhands and my Daddy, seasoned banker, and debt. Huge choo choo train off the subject of research, though. :blush: It's a topic I'm passionate about, sorry! I've seen too many of my friends hurt terribly by this idiotic law of TWI.
