I don't know Mabel, but PM me and I may be able to put you in touch with someone who does. :) Your messaging options are turned off.

(((((ex))))) There are definitely too many people who have impacted my life - strengthened my resolve and helped me move to a much, MUCH better place thanks to their presence here. You, excathdra, being among the top of the list. Please, Anyone who would like to stay in touch personally, PM me and I'll give you my Facebook name so we can stay in touch - as little as I do online these days.... Thankfully, I have rediscovered live outside the walls of TWI and my neediness which I was fulfilling with waaaaayyyy too much time online instead of 'real life', but so many of you mean so much to me that I would hate to lose touch completely.

Just glad you're not my ex! Would love to know the answer, too, though!

AWESOME, TOMMY! Just awesome!!!! I lost my friend late last year and so appreciate the support, prayers and insight from you in how to help her and deal with the insidiousness of cancer. (((((Tommy)))))

There is a GS group on Facebook. If you don't want to join that and don't mind having an old fart for a friend, I would LOVE to keep in touch with you. :) I'm "Sonya Michelle Jones" on FB.
You are very wise for your age and full of wit and wisdom. I love your humor. If you choose not to join us, please know that you have touched many lives (including mine) and...

Oh, my goodness! I have no words. :( This place helped me regain my sanity and the patrons, my self-esteem, cognitive skills and so much more. I plan to spend the week-end contacting those I would die if I could not maintain contact in some way. There is so much more to say, Paw, to let you know how very much I appreciate the cafe, your efforts, the time and effort of the moderators and how very, very much the cafe has meant to me through the years. I will have to compose my thoughts into something more coherent and succinct. Wish I would finally get that winning lottery ticket so we could keep the doors open. :D All I can say right now, is THANK YOU! LOVE YOU! What a long, strange trip it's been.

I suppose, technically, yes. The pictures didn't turn out very well. Hopefully someone else's from the party did. I was rather proud of how it turned out.

:D Ham! I think part of it might be that it sounds too good to be true, but - darn it - we so want it to be true, don't we?

Truth be told, Waysider, my costumes are for the costume party the week-end of Halloween. On the actual Trick-or-Treat date I just sit outside with Vixen in an x-pen and watch the kiddos from the yard while handing out candy to them. I do so love it, though! :D
-
Do you dress up for Halloween? Do you pass out candy? Seeing as how it's awfully close to my birthday, I almost always have a costume party (well, not during the TWI-days) and love, Love, LOVE passing out candy to the kiddos. A couple of years ago I went trailer park with the mumu, pink rollers, fuzzy house shoes, etc... This year I'm going as "Smarty Pants" - with Smarties candy glued onto my pants. You???

According to this Yahoo question, TWI is still up to the same old tricks, twisting and manipulating in order to get folks under their thumb.

I did successfully quit quit with Chantix for a few months but became afraid of all the effects and suicides of military after trying it that I quit. I tried the e-cigs and have found them to be a satisfactory substitute for a strategy of cutting down. My brother tried Blu but didn't like it as much as my "smoketip" brand. He's going to order it and try to quit alongside me.

would love, Love, LOVE to chat with y'all! I dunno my buddy's rehab schedule but will check tomorrow to help nail down a time. I suspect that I shan't be at her rehab facility too late either way. :)
-
I think I'll be able to be there this week-end. Depends on how my friend in the rehab facility from her radiation/chemo is doing.

I don't remember a penny rule but I do remember Matth3w H@rmon, married to Lauri3 Weirwille, going into a tirade about people who give their ABS in CASH. He complained about having to waste time going to get a money order and paying for said money order to send the ABS to HQ. He called those people selfish and inconsiderate.

WELCOME!!! And, we love to party here! That's always appropriate! Come and go as you please. :) I don't post so much anymore but I do maintain my gum collection under the counter and am thankful that Paw keeps my bar stool dusted. This place can provide a venue for tremendous healing as you figure out what you need and post whenever you feel like it. Rants are fine, too. You'll most likely find that some of us have had the same rants or can at least relate. Glad you're here!

HA! I was just looking for my EFT manual.... Jerry, so good to "see" you and hear that things are going well for you and yours! :)

I'm with Java. :) Telling me how wrong I am, how controlled (e.g. stoopid) and how TWI is ruining my life just pushes me further into the grasp of TWI. My parents loved me and never talked about TWI or expressed their concerns to me - though I did find out after I left that they had considered hiring a deprogrammer but were afraid it would backfire (and it very well might have). What they did do was love me and encourage anything non-TWI related that I expressed interest in. They reminded me frequently of good times I had before TWI and the things I did well and did right prior to my involvement with TWI. My mother sent me a book about girlfriends and it really pierced my heart. I realized I didn't have those kinds of good friends anymore and I certainly didn't have that kind of fun with the "friends" I had in TWI. I couldn't talk to TWI friends about anything and everything like I could my "real friends" I had dropped. Some people may have nagging doubts about TWI and just need an excuse to leave - others aren't so uncomfortable with things enough to do something about it. Some are too scared to do something about it. Those who have been on staff forever don't see how they can survive in "the real world" and, for them, yah, it would be extremely difficult to adjust to making your own decisions and to get a job with the out dated skills of being on staff. "A man convinced against his will is of the same opinion still" is true. They have to really want to leave and come to that conclusion on their own - nothing you or I can say will change that. That's why so many who were kicked out join up with the offshoots. They didn't want to leave.

Great post, Brainfixed! Yes, I, too, had to come to a place where I didn't nitpick and strain gnats. I've pretty much come to the place where religion boils down to "love your neighbor as yourself." I don't worry so much about other schtuff. :D Life is much simpler and enjoyable that way! Be kind, for everyone you meet is fighting a hard battle. ~ Plato

This website is devoted to Arno's Vale Cemetary and has before and after pictures of their restoration efforts. Here is the cemetery's own website. I seriously doubt vee pee had any thing to do with the clean up and restoration of the grave. There are over 300,000 people buried there, some very famous people buried there and, as Twinky said, some important wildlife, plants. It does look like a really neat place to visit.

When is this transition supposed to take place? It was to be every 5 years, no? No.... wait, we must have heard that wrong 10 years ago because we know TWIts don't lie.

Lovely counselor..... is that what they call it these days?

I think I can hear Rico Spaghetti sobbing all the way down here.
