I don't know WN!, but I do remember this being discussed before. Maybe mr. linder will be so kind as to post the thread. I'm sure it's in the WAYGB archives somewhere. What say ye, mr. linder? Willing to help us out?

Mr H, you put your money on Troll and I'll put mine on TWIt. One of us is bound to be correct!

Some more words of Jesus that I've yet to see exhibited in TWI much less taught. I've also yet to see this attitude and compassion exhibited by a few posters on here, but it's really not surprising when you consider that Jesus was absent in TWI. Not only was Jesus absent in TWI, his words are in the wrong "administration" and, therefore, easily dismissed unless they further the agenda of the TWIt speaker. Luk 10:36 Which now of these three, thinkest thou, was neighbour unto him that fell among the thieves? Luk 10:37 And he said, He that shewed mercy on him. Then said Jesus unto him, Go, and do thou likewise. Mat 25:41 Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels: Mat 25:42 For I was an hungred, and ye gave me no meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me no drink: Mat 25:43 I was a stranger, and ye took me not in: naked, and ye clothed me not: sick, and in prison, and ye visited me not. Mat 25:44 Then shall they also answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, or athirst, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did not minister unto thee? Mat 25:45 Then shall he answer them, saying, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye did [it] not to one of the least of these, ye did [it] not to me. Mat 25:46 And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal. Mat 5:16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven. Mat 5:19 Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach [them], the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven. Mat 5:42 Give to him that asketh thee, and from him that would borrow of thee turn not thou away. Mat 23:14 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye devour widows' houses, and for a pretence make long prayer: therefore ye shall receive the greater damnation. Mat 23:23 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye pay tithe of mint and anise and cummin, and have omitted the weightier [matters] of the law, judgment, mercy, and faith: these ought ye to have done, and not to leave the other undone. Mat 23:24 [Ye] blind guides, which strain at a gnat, and swallow a camel. Mat 23:25 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye make clean the outside of the cup and of the platter, but within they are full of extortion and excess.

I'm concerned. I think TWI might be right about me.... Every variation of my name that I enter comes up with minimum 50% evil and my current name is 99% evil. Should I wear a warning on my nametag?

AdiosMiCorazon, glad I gave you a chuckle. :)--> I don't always agree with southern ways, but I know and understand it very well having grown up in it. I think we should be called "red ears" instead of "red necks" since everyone gets talked about. :D--> When friends would say they couldn't make it to a gathering, we'd make sure to remind them that they will indeed be talked about. If it's a lame excuse for missing out....no one promises that it will all be good. ;)--> I feel sorry for non-southerners when they move into the deep south because I know it's going to be a major culture shock. At least the food is good right away and if there are lots of weddings and funerals during your first year in the south then the transition is that much easier.

Is TWI Getting Better or is it About the Same, or Worse?

Brother Speed, thanks for the coffee spray this morning! What color kool-aid do you think they'll be serving? Red for commitment? -
Ham, with all due respect, I don't think Howard and Don were brainwashed; I think they enjoyed the lifestyle that Craig's "revelations" afforded them so they kept their mouths shut.

I agree, Mark. I think it was Long Gone who started a thread yesterday with a blog from someone who is over there and, in the course of the conversation, Lindy and others posted some of their favorite blogs of people who are over there, including soldiers. Just wanted you to know that our dear Brother Speed isn't the only beloved GSpotter over there. :)-->

Now that's one great looking couple! Thank you for sharing the pictures with us! And, Cowgirl, you have the cutest dimples!
-
Kit Sober you have a heart of pure gold and I thank God for your life and pray for great blessings for you and your family every time I think of you. :)--> There's a certain smugness and sense of personal satisfaction when one insults someone with them having no clue that they are being insulted. The point is for them to never suspect that they were insulted or to figure it out long after you're gone. ;)--> So, Garth, I would have insulted you in my own mind and way and if you never figured that it was an insult, well, then I succeeded. ;)--> The southern way is hospitality and a kind word to and for everyone, so a true southern lady would never insult someone outright - It's just not "lady like" :)--> It's hard to explain, but there's a time and a place for everything and you never insult people to their face - behind their back is okay, though.
-
Now, Bob Eastwood, who could that possibly be? ;)-->

Did our new favorite poster put his picture up somewhere and we missed it?

This insult only works in Florida. Actually, Moony, this works anywhere south of the Mason-Dixon Line. :D-->

Is TWI Getting Better or is it About the Same, or Worse?

not that bad would be key words for me. :)--> Why settle for OK or "not that bad"? There's so much more out there!! Churches have come a long way.....A REAL LONG WAY....and there truly is something that meets each individual's needs out there, imo. It may take a bit of looking, but I truly believe that. It's probably "not that bad" because he's not consistently attending, although the fact that he's able to get away with that is really odd given the climate of TWI. (I'm not saying it's not happening, just that it's odd and not "normal" for TWI's MO.) -
LOL! LOL! LOL!! I'd almost trade Mike for him any day of the week and at least some of the other more annoying posters to me have some redeeming qualities. It does indeed look like he's succeeded in uniting us, but do we have to send him a thank you note? If we don't, please don't tell my Mama. :)-->
-
ROFLMAO!!! Ham, you're a quick study! That might just get your letter read at the next phone hook-up! :)--> Throw in what a "remarkable woman" she is and that would be the perfect letter.
-
Tom, "in some contexts" was the key phrase there. ;)--> Of course you get whipped with the switch you had to go pick out for yourself if you don't say "ma'am" or "sir" to anyone older than you, but there is such a way/tone of voice of saying it so that the word can mean "b*tch" and any self-respecting southerner would know right away what you were implying. ;)--> It's a talent that's not even taught outright, but rather so subtle that it's never even talked about until you reach the age where it's safe to tell your parents about those parties you had when they were out of town. :D--> There's also a difference between a "lady" and a "woman". I've been scolded by my Grandma on more than one occasion for inappropriately referring to someone of the female persuasion as a "lady". Templelady, you've got that right! ANYONE from above the Mason-Dixon line is definitely not allowed to be considered a "belle", much less a lady except under the most special of circumstances. :)--> p.s. Tom, I think we should discuss that bumper sticker over a couple of snow cones. Do you make Mint Julep flavored ones?
-
Well, Ham, Southerners are very adept at this. :)--> We've learned from very young children how to nicely insult people....come to think of it, maybe that's how Rosie gets away with it..... Ma'am is southern for b*tch in some contexts "Bless your heart" can mean "you freaking retard" "You're from New York, aren't you?" well, that one would get me heavily censored. :)--> "Your Mama must be real proud of you" ;)--> For TWI: "Have I seen you knocking on the doors in my neighborhood?" "You sure have a way with scripture." "You almost make me want to look into the Wiccan beliefs." "I'll bet you can lead songs real well, can't you?"
-
Why even El Craig Martinpuke himself believed in the feminine side of God. Don't you remember him going on and on about the Shekinah Glory of God in one of the classes? Sorry can't remember which one. I asked Moneyhands what it was and he didn't know and basically didn't care. I looked it up. It refers to the Feminine side/characteristics of God. I believe it's covered in the Companion Bible but I can't remember where. LOL! Craig getting all excited about the Shekinah /Femininity of God....
-
I would be surprised if anyone would call me a liberal, Bramble. LOL! :D--> Although, after the past few days, I'm becoming rather fond of the Wiccan label. ;)-->

Maybe the divorce is final and Ohio is sanctioning same sex marriages. :)--> Yeppers! There's gonna be a wedding in NK and you all are invited to the reception before we leave for a three month gloriously exotic honeymoon with your abundant sharing. -

Well, Bliss, you know this means you can't leave till after the anniversary. ;)--> I HATE those freaking secrets!! *sing song voice* I know something you don't know! But it's a really GOOD thing! Is it the assignments or have those already been announced formally? -
How much is FICA tax? Surely not more than $40 Million??

Since labels have become so important to one person in the About the Way section I started thinking about this thread. I took this test a mere three months ago and I'm still reading, studying and learning about different beliefs, thoughts, history of Christianity....all kinds of things. My interests, beliefs and whatnot are still evolving since leaving TWI last year. For Chits & Giggles I took the test again and found the results interesting: May 2005 1. Mainline to Liberal Christian Protestants (100%) 2. Unitarian Universalism (96%) 3. Bahai' Faith (93%) 4. Liberal Quakers (92%) 5. Reform Judaism (91%) August 2005 1. Neo-Pagan (100%) 2. Unitarian Universalism (88%) 3. Liberal Quakers (87%) 4. New Age (86%) 5. Reform Judaism (85%) I don't remember where Neo-Pagan and New Age were on the original list.... Mainline to Liberal Christian Protestants are now #17 (66%) on my list. Pretty big fall from #1. Bahai is #7 (79%). What's really scary is that Scientology is #9 today I suspect that in another three months it will have changed yet again.
