  1. Malignant Self Love - Narcissism Revisited Dr. Jackal and Mr. Hide Somatic Narcisst Narcissists are either cerebral or somatic. In other words, they either generate their narcissistic supply by applying their bodies or by applying their minds. The somatic narcissist flaunts his sexual conquests, parades his possessions, exhibits his muscles, brags about his physical aesthetics or sexual prowess or exploits, is often a health freak and a hypochondriac. The cerebral narcissist is a know-it-all, haughty and intelligent "computer". He uses his awesome intellect, or knowledge (real or pretended) to secure adoration, adulation and admiration. To him, his body and its maintenance are a burden and a distraction. Both types are auto-erotic (psychosexually in love with themselves, with their bodies and with their brain). Both types prefer masturbation to adult, mature, interactive, multi-dimensional and emotion-laden sex. The cerebral narcissist is often celibate (even when he has a girlfriend or a spouse). He prefers pornography and sexual auto-stimulation to the real thing. The cerebral narcissist is sometimes a latent (hidden, not yet outed) homosexual. The somatic narcissist uses other people's bodies to masturbate. Sex with him - pyrotechnics and acrobatics aside - is likely to be an impersonal and emotionally alienating and draining experience. The partner is often treated as an object, an extension of the somatic narcissist, a toy, a warm and pulsating vibrator. It is a mistake to assume type-constancy. In other words, all narcissists are BOTH cerebral and somatic. In each narcissist, one of the types is dominant. So, the narcissist is either OVERWHELMINGLY cerebral - or DOMINANTLY somatic. But the other type, the recessive (manifested less frequently) type, is there. It is lurking, waiting to erupt. The narcissist swings between his dominant type and his recessive type. The latter is expressed mainly as a result of a major narcissistic injury or life crisis.
  2. In my opinion - this is what these guys could be diagnosed as having. THIS is why I think that, unless craig wants help, Freud would do well to just let craig be and to keep his family far away from him, because when the xanax wears off and he's no longer "numb" he will be back to his same old tricks: What is NPD (Narcissistic Personality Disorder)? From the NEIRR It is described as an all-pervasive pattern of grandiosity (in fantasy or behavior), need for admiration or adulation and lack of empathy. It usually begins by early adulthood and is present in various contexts. 1. Feels grandiose and self-importance (e.g., exaggerates achievements and talents to the point of lying, demands to be recognized as superior without commensurate achievements); “The narcissist is prone to magical thinking. He thinks about himself in terms of ‘being chosen’ or of ‘having a destiny’. …He believes that his life is of such momentous importance, that it is micro-managed by God. … religion allows the narcissist to feel unique.” Craig and his sports analogies – bragging about playing college level foot ball “I could be the CEO of a Fortune 500 Company!!” Teaching “Do you see it? Well, I do!” as if that’s enough for it to be “true” Bragging about kicking the crap out of “homos” “I’ll run the whole ministry all by myself without you stupid WC if I have to” 2. Is obsessed with fantasies of unlimited success, fame, fearsome power or omnipotence, unequalled brilliance (the cerebral narcissist), bodily beauty or sexual performance (the somatic narcissist), or ideal, everlasting, all-conquering love or passion; “The narcissist is haunted by the feeling that he is possessed of a mission, of a destiny, that he is a part of fate, of history. He is convinced that his uniqueness is purposeful, that he is meant to lead, chart new ways, to innovate to modernize, to reform, to set precedents, to create. Every act is significant, every writing of momentous consequences, every thought of revolutionary calibre. He feels part of a grand design, a world plan and the frame of affiliation, the group, of which he is a member, must be commensurately grand.” Comparisons to Joshua, anyone? Comparisons to Paul, anyone? Being “hand picked” by vee pee Athletes of the Spirit Doing away with everything vee pee started to “forge his own way” Leading folks into “The Promised Land” 3. Firmly convinced that he or she is unique and, being special, can only be understood by, should only be treated by, or associate with, other special or unique, or high-status people (or institutions); Kicking the WC Alumni from the 200 mile radius around HQ Be ye not unequally yoked… Reserving the whole top floor of the Wyndham and using the back hallways for the staff so that he wouldn’t have to be bothered by the “riff raff”. 4. Requires excessive admiration, adulation, attention and affirmation – or, failing that, wishes to be feared and to be notorious (Narcissistic Supply); “In short: the group must magnify the narcissist, echo and amplify his life, his views, his knowledge, his history…” All those elaborate gifts he expected and the audacity to send those lists out to the people who were expected to get them for him…. Required “thank you” letters Required “I was so blessed by your teaching…” letters 5. Feels entitled. Expects unreasonable or special and favorable priority treatment. Demands automatic and full compliance with his or her expectations; Suggestion from leadership is tantamount to a command No onions – ever – anywhere near HQ Obey the first time – no excuses Those on staff can provide even more examples of this; I’m sure 6. Is “interpersonally exploitative”, i.e., uses others to achieve his or her own ends; “He will not hesitate to put people’s lives or fortunes at risk. He will preserve his sense of infallibility in the face of his mistakes and misjudgments by distorting the facts, by evoking mitigating or attenuating circumstances, by repressing the memories, or simply lying.” He taught TWIts to do this – how much “history” is merely ignored or never talked about? Why’d Don and Howard step down from their positions? When the WC had to go back to work from working full time – it wasn’t because he was wrong – it was because he had another revelation… 7. Devoid of empathy. Is unable or unwilling to identify with or acknowledge the feelings and needs of others; “But the narcissist does not care. Unable to empathize, he does not fully experience the outcomes of his deeds and decision. For him, humans are dispensable, rechargeable, reusable. They are there to fulfill a function: to supply him with Narcissistic Supply (adoration, admiration, approval, affirmation, etc.). They do not have an existence apart from the carrying out of their duty.” We don’t really need examples of this, do we? ;) Suicides Holocaust Victims Kids WC 8. Constantly envious of others or believes that they feel the same about him or her; “First there is pathological envy. The narcissist is constantly envious of other people: their successes, their property, their character, their education, their children, their ideas, the fact that they can feel, their good mood, their past, their present, their spouses, their mistresses or lovers, their location.” 9. Arrogant, haughty behaviors or attitudes coupled with rage when frustrated, contradicted, or confronted. “Narcissists live in a state of constant rage, repressed aggression, envy and hatred. They firmly believe that everyone is like them. As a result, they are paranoid, suspicious, scared and erratic.” I know we have no examples of this kind of behavior. Conclusion: “NPD is a pernicious, vile and tortuous disease, which affects not only the narcissist. It affects and forever changes people who are in daily contact with the narcissist.”
  3. I disagree and think it's the same dam n tangent he pulls when the credibility of their teachings doesn't work to derail a thread. He's the Mike of this topic. Some folks know that OM has a vested interest in protecting the rapists and those who helped procure the victims for them to rape....but we can't go there without getting into big trouble. But, go ahead - y'all have at it...... And.....that's a noogie 'cause I still love you - I just disagree ;) Be glad there's no wedgie icon.
  4. FACT: HE HAS TOTALLY DERAILED THIS THREAD - CAN WE START A NEW ONE SO THIS ONE CAN STAY ON TOPIC???????????????
  5. Careful, Tom, it's not safe to mention OM's sister on here.... you'll quickly get your posts deleted.... <_< wonder why.... <_< wonder why he's so defensive and so vicious toward rape victims - even when it's mentioned by a very well respected poster who has proven himself to be nothing but ethical and full of integrity. Regardless, this is a terrible tangent from the topic of the thread - it's also the same rehash we have seen with OM all the time. He's so good at trying to change the subject. So, can we get back on the topic at hand, please? Craig, is probably "bland" because of all the drugs he's most likely on - and if he's having to pay for those drugs on his own, that's a lot of money, even with meager insurance coverage. Does this sound like Craig and vee pee? Actually, it sounds like a lot of the TWIt leaders I had the "pleasure" of meeting.... From: Narcisstic Personality Disorder [For general discussion of cognition, affectivity, interpersonal functioning, and impulse control in personality disorders and NPD. It's also interesting to compare these traits below with characteristics of normal six-year-olds.] amoral/conscienceless authoritarian care only about appearances contemptuous critical of others cruel disappointing gift-givers don't recognize own feelings envious and competitive feel entitled flirtatious or seductive grandiose hard to have a good time with hate to live alone hyper-sensitive to criticism impulsive lack sense of humor naive passive pessimistic religious secretive self-contradictory stingy strange work habits unusual eating habits weird sense of time The most telling thing that narcissists do is contradict themselves. They will do this virtually in the same sentence, without even stopping to take a breath. It can be trivial (e.g., about what they want for lunch) or it can be serious (e.g., about whether or not they love you). When you ask them which one they mean, they'll deny ever saying the first one, though it may literally have been only seconds since they said it -- really, how could you think they'd ever have said that? You need to have your head examined! They will contradict FACTS. They will lie to you about things that you did together. They will misquote you to yourself. If you disagree with them, they'll say you're lying, making stuff up, or are crazy. [At this point, if you're like me, you sort of panic and want to talk to anyone who will listen about what is going on: this is a healthy reaction; it's a reality check ("who's the crazy one here?"); that you're confused by the narcissist's contrariness, that you turn to another person to help you keep your bearings, that you know something is seriously wrong and worry that it might be you are all signs that you are not a narcissist].

  7. I'm afraid you over-estimate our fellow poster, JL. :(
  8. MUCH - MUCH - MUCH BETTER, T-BONE!!! Thank you!!! :) Very poignant and true. I think this is part of why TWIts are so depressed, sad, conflicted.... Out of one side of their mouth they say to do good unto all men, but out of the other side they say that we don't contribute to designer causes or help folks because Jesus said, "the poor will always be with you". TWIts don't do good - not even within their own group. Many want to do good - I did - my ex wouldn't let me waste OUR resources on egg-sucking unbelievers. Other TWIts consider their doctrine as an excuse to NOT do good, and those are the ones quoting that Jesus quote all the time. I think that's part of why folks feel so much relief when they do finally make that scary first step to leave TWI. I know for me, it was such a joy that almost every day I would go through the "change & receipts" toll booth just so I could pay for a few of the cars behind me. I have the SunPass that allows me to zoom through with my little electronic bank account, but I wanted so bad to do something nice for folks because I felt so good myself. That, in turn, made me feel that much better - one I was putting a smile on someone's face anonymously and two - I was doing something I had been forbidden to do for nearly ten years.
  9. Someone, I can't remember who, is a freelance writer. She wrote a piece about finding a cross at her mother's house. It was a short piece, but it brought me to tears, it was so tender and sweet and moving. I believe it was in the early WayDale days and I *may* have saved it, but I have lots of CD's from the WayDale days It would seem appropriate to post here. Does anyone know who I'm talking about or remember that piece?
  10. LOTS!!! In no particular order, but off the top of my head: The Richesons Radar WashingtonWeather Mo Ted Ferrell Lindy Nate Linda Z ex10 P-Mosh Georgio Jessio Catcup excathedra Shellon Any of the folks from the "cool band" days Chicago Bird - if we can find her There's more, but those are the ones who immediately come to mind.
  11. You were brave, Girl! Providing that information being out as short a time as you were and still going through your own personal he11. Someone you didn't know asking you for that information.....had to be a very difficult decision to provide that information. I remember reading the hesitancy in your words when you did provide the information. All those feelings are still so real and so vivid to me. When Bob & Dottie came to town to confront me on sending the letter to hq, they told me what happened with that one and mentioned one other letter, but never mentioned the others..... Turns out the girl was freaked to get a letter with no return address, or she glanced at the first page, then saw it had no return address....something like that. She freaked and took it straight to her overseer. So, she never read the thing and is probably still barely making ends meet and only dreaming of getting that nursing degree. :( They used that letter to tie me to insurgent. It was an illogical leap that just happened to be right, but I never admitted to it. HA! I would LOVE to have seen his and Dottie's faces when they listened to the interview....and you KNOW they listened to it! LOL! What's funny is most folks thought insurgent was a guy. I always got a kick out of that! Thanks so much for your kind words and for helping someone you didn't even know, much less have any reason to trust back then.
  12. Sounds like numerology, to me. We were to "study whether those things were so" - we were just not allowed to say whether those things were NOT so, nor were we allowed to question "whether those things were so" in TWI. I haven't been to any church where they expect you to just take what the religion teaches simply because the priest or minister says it. Maybe the RC's with "excathedra", but that's a special case in and of itself within the Catholic religion, so it doesn't cover the whole "doctrine" issue anyway. Besides that, you can go to most any church and find folks who don't necessarily agree with 100% of the church's doctrine - as long as someone isn't a troublemaker, they are welcome and they still enjoy the fellowship, the teachings and the whole experience....they just don't necessarily agree with the full doctrine. Of course, that's a tangent and off topic, so I digress.... We were taught rudimentary study skills, yes - and, you bring up good points, Oak, many of those "keys to the word's interpretation" are seriously flawed and are designed to lead people to believe, see and trust what vee pee was telling us - which was what HE wanted us to believe; not what's really there.
  13. :o WOW, Rascal.....looks like someone hasn't realized that we all know each other pretty well on here and have known each other for YEARS..... MANY YEARS!!! And, that despite the fact that we may disagree with one another on here, we do actually respect each other, for the most part. It's not only not nice to fool with Mother Nature.... it's worse when some newcomer smart @$$ tries to stir stuff up, it just aint gonna happen. Especiall when he tries to pit friends against one another.... a gross underestimation of how tight we can be. The integrity just fell further through the basement....as if I thought it could fall any further than it already has... worshipping an evil rapist, devil spirit possessed idolator isn't bad enough.... he has to try to pit us against one another..... Give it up, kiddo, just ain't gonna happen. You can be stupid and ignorant all you want about vee pee, but that ploy is worse than grade school shenanigans and you're messing with much smarter, much wiser folks than you realize.
  14. T-bone, I really want to read your stuff and, when I can read it without getting a headache, I do.... Is there any way you can type with the "normal" stuff that's provided on the board? :( That font and size just makes it hard on these old eyes....
  15. Socks, remember that a lot of TWIts still think WWPD instead of WWJD.... Paul is the one person they worship outside of the Bible - not God, Not JC, but Paul and "the word"..... If it's not written then it's not important.
  16. Peruser, it wasn't his kid. He came to Orlando with Michelle and they got married shortly after moving down here - which would have been in 93 or 94. They didn't have a child until they left to go back to HQ....which would have been in early 96 because they weren't here for my wedding and Todd would most likely have been the Best Man if they had been here. They do have a precious little girl, but she wasn't born till years after my ex and I got married. :) He is a trip - a total fun person to be around and a great salesman. It was great to see he and Michelle when we took that gawd awful bus trip to HQ shortly before my divorce.
  17. What if we bring lots of dollar bills for those g-strings??
  18. If he isn't a closet homo, then I can see him being one of those guys beating the crap out of somone just because they were..... or a lesbian, for that matter.... his absolute hatred of the homosexual community is downright scary when one can see it from outside the walls of TWI. Have any of you who weren't involved during his explosive years ever heard any of his tirades on the gay community? Just curious.
  19. It seems to me that even TWI expects an apology and change of action when someone has done something wrong…..based on scripture, nonetheless....where’s the example in craig’s life?? In the lives of those who facilitated, encouraged, enabled and covered for him? From TWI’S OWN TEACHING ON GODLY SORROW: “Mourning” indicates the Corinthians were lamenting their wrongs and errors or their mistakes. They expressed a genuine remorse and grief regarding those things Paul confronted them on. “Fervent mind” is from the Greek word zealos. ….demonstrating… a passion toward Paul and the other apostles. Rather than holding on to their hurt feelings, justifying their error, and complaining about how they were confronted. These Corinthians had a passion for the truth that Paul represented and spoke. 2 Cor 7:11 - ….ye sorrowed after a godly sort….what carefulness…what clearing of yourselves….indignation…fear…vehement desire….zeal….revenge! ….clear in this matter. This verse shows the aggressive mindset of the Corinthians as they took believing action to restore themselves to alignment and harmony with God and HIS HOUSEHOLD. Looking at all these qualities listed above will help us recognize the characteristics and attitudes indicating that change is actually happening in a person’s life after he has been confronted. “carefulness” is the Greek word “spoude” – diligence, emphasizing no delay or waste of time in putting forth effort in whatever one is doing in his service to the Lord. So, there should be an immediate, eager response by the confronted individual to the end that there is “serious purpose” to correct his error. This is not merely an outward, happy, enthusiastic response. When a person has godly sorry, he responds by finding the scripture that addresses his hneed. Then he speaks, thinks and acts according to the word of God with immediate diligence. The desired changes can take place right away. And even with behavior patterns that may take more time to establish, this immediate, eager response initiates the process. We should not have to strain to see this; it should be evident!
  20. We all have things in our past that we're not too proud of, Cool. (not me, mind you - I'm all sugar and spice - just speaking rhetorically. ;) ) Where is he today? What does he think? How does he act? What's he like TODAY?? How does he feel about having done that and having it in in past?
  21. Belle

    Do you celebrate?

I dunno....is there green beer involved? What do Polish folks drink, anyway?? My maiden name is Jones and I was so tickled to get rid of my "plain jane" last name.....come to find out, after excitedly taking my married last name....it's friggin' Polish for Jones.....
  22. Or maybe it's just such common sense that God didn't feel it was even necessary to mention. He knew enough to know to keep it quiet and covert.....isn't that a sign that someone knows that what they are doing is wrong? Or is it enough that he kicked people out who confronted him on it? Or is it enough that folks who also knew it was wrong covered for him instead of doing something about it? At what point does someone decide that drugging, raping and setting up rapes of women is RIGHT?? <_<
  23. If we're gonna do it in the round, I'd rather do the "bub bub a bubblin" song....
  24. HA HA HA!!! Love it, Goey!!!
  25. oooh - oooh - hints? Who is it, Paw?? Inquiring minds want to know! :B)
