DEECLINE We know you're faithful, too, And we want to wish you happy birthday, too. May your days (all of them) be bright, And may your happiness last all through the night, For darkness comes to every soul, But by grace we remember That heart of gold, Which God has entrusted to us to carry His love. I wish you the best, And happiness, too. And hope God's goodness Is an ever present present to you. God bless you always, In all ways, All your days, Sincerely as well as soberly, Kit Sober

Thanks so much ex10, I had a precious co-worker whose husband was stationed in Germany the same time as Elvis -- and the general consenus was was that he was a good soldier who was interested in doing his part and not getting any special favors. He enjoyed his enlisted time as much as possible (considering, of course, the loss of his mother). And when Jim Dobson of Focus on the Family wrote in his newsletter something scathing about Elvis, I wrote him back with 1. list of the over 100 gospel songs he sang, 2. how people had fun at his concerts (I never saw one of his concerts, but from the pictures, the faces on the people were always happy, not twisted and tormented as concertgoers today) 3. Also generated a lot of fun for people -- the flying elvii are a riot! and the Elvis imitators I've seen are always enjoying themselves doing it. 4. How he could sing/say love/lovely/loving/lover etc millions of ways, but never said mean hateful ugly words. 5. One of his last movies, "change of habit," he played a dentist who helps a nun get some work going, and he doesn't get the girl (she decides to become a nun, and actually did become a nun). The closing song he sings in the Catholic church and it was an over all cross-religion movie where having a good time in church was the strongest message. James Dobson had someone write me back and kind of apologized, and said he had enjoyed Elvis' music and that my letter had given him food for thought. I am very thankful Elvis lived, and so sorry he died so young. Thanks for the story, ex10. Sincerely and soberly, Kit Sober

I think this alienation is natural part of being weaned from a cult. As you are able to give (and being more concerned with what you give), then the walls of selfish isolation can crack. "If a man would have friends he must first show himself friendly," and TWI taught us to be Most Unfriendly. Sincerely, praying for you and for all of us in this regard especially, Kit Sober

Many patrons of this cafe know not the difference between a byte and a piece of cherry pie. But learning is still an exciting adventure, and with the very kind assistance in this cafe, such as Sudo's offer, you will be able to do this and amaze the young trick-or-treaters who may think you are outdated. . . I am sure it's an awesome number of hours people have spent learning and testing the internet/pc-world waters in the comfort zone of Waydale/Greasespot Cafe and other places. Hopefully, Kit Sober

What is this thread for? For any information you'd like to give regarding who and why and what of your forum / chat name history (who you were on WayDale/Greasespot Cafe I), and why you have the icon you use. Kit Sober On WayDale and Greasespot Cafe (and other places) my forum name is my given name is Kit Sober (I could never have made this name up, although I have been asked if it was a TWI made up name like Maggie Muggins and Snowball Pete.) Kit was given to me by my dad. His mother was Kathryn, but everyone called her Kit. Dad thought I should be named what I was going to be called, Kit was it. Sober was given to me by my husband, Fred Sober. He got the Sober name because his great grandparents, coming from Poland as Soberiewsky landed at Ellis Island and had their name cut short. My Icon of Elvis is because I think Elvis was a kindhearted Christian who should have been prayed for by the body of Christ rather than insulted by mainstream Christianity. LCM especially vilely insulted him, and then Paul Allen of WayDale got the gif for me. Also Gaither Productions did a Christian History music/video release of Elvis,"Love me Tender" and it appeared to me he was somewhat vindicated by that. I use my given name so anyone who may be looking for me can find me. Kit Sober

Dear Kristopher George, So truly glad you were born. You provide hope and inspiration for God's goodness in the world. God bless you all your days, In all ways, always, Sincerely and hopefully, Fred and Kit Sober Reno NV -
Dear George, Happy Happy Birthday, And many happy returns for the kindness you have brought into the world. Watchman Nee is my all-time favorite writer, and it's his carefully detailed and quiet mind which is able to capture so many of the little nuances of Jesus Christ, of scripture, and of life in general which won my heart. (How I relate to your perception of the greatest of art forms) Hope not only your cake but your all-around life is sweet and enjoyable and present-able. Happy birthday, Fred and Kit Sober Reno NV

Been praying for you. Hope you're doing fine. Hopefully, Kit Sober Reno NV p.s. YOu are welcome to send extra rain to Reno. Nevada can always use rain. It's really dry here, now, and the threat of fires is always high in the summertime.

It's been said some of the most fearful words one could here are: "Hello, I'm from the government, and I'm here to help.". Ha. Ha. Enjoy. Jokes About The IRS... 1. Post Office just recalled their newest stamps: They had pictures of IRS agents on them, and people couldn't figure out which side to spit on. 2. If a lawyer and an IRS agent were both drowning, and you could only save one of them, would you go to lunch or read the newspaper? 3. What do you call 25 I.R.S. agents buried up to their chins in cement? Not enough cement. 4. What do you call 25 skydiving I.R.S. agents? Skeet. 5. What do you throw to a drowning I.R.S. agent? His co-workers. 6. What's brown and looks really good on an I.R.S. agent? A Doberman. 7. What's the difference between an I.R.S. agent and a mosquito? One is a bloodsucking parasite, the other is an insect. Internal Revenue Service Theme Song Tax his cow, Tax his goat; Tax his pants, Tax his coat; Tax his crop, Tax his work; Tax his ties, Tax his shirt; Tax his chew, Tax his smoke Teach him taxing is no joke. Tax his tractor, Tax his mule; Tell him, Taxing is the rule. Tax his oil, Tax his gas Tax his notes, Tax his cash Tax him good and let him know, That after taxes, he has no dough. If he hollers, Tax him more; Tax him till he's good and sore. Tax his coffin, Tax his grave, Tax his sod in which he's laid. Put these words upon his tomb, "Taxes drove him to his doom." After he's gone, we won't relax. We'll still collect inheritance tax.
