What's the scariest movie you've ever seen?
Kit Sober replied to What The Hay's topic in Entertainment Archives
pfal ac Santa Cruz, California went to see the Exorcist (courtesy of the Winegarners I think) -- anyway fear had no root because of the great bunch people there praying for each other (Del Duncan was there :)--> with so many great friends :)-->) I was scared by The wizard of Oz (the witch on her broom) and had nitemares for years over that! Elvis and Gidget movies became my viewing choice after that. Kit Sober:)-->-- God -

More nice things I thought of: Fred, my husband is here. That's what brought me Reno. Fred got a job here. There is a big sky in North Reno where we live, little city light so stars are bright. National Automobile Museum here in Reno. This is one of my favorites. Harrah used to collect cars, and this museum started with many of his private autos which were donated by the company that purchased Harrah's casinos. Among others are, the car that was in James Dean's "Rebel Without a Cause," the car that one the "drive around the world" competition in the 1920's (circa?), and many others. There is also a lot of history in these cars -- so much of standard features we have today were developed by Caddilac (not Ford as I had thought). Caddilac was always classy. One of my favorites is a primer orange Jeerrari (One of Harrah's private car). Looks so plain and "stable" but it has a Ferrari under the hood and could go 140 mph. If a cop test it going that fast he would think his radar was broken -- It looks like a 4-wheel drive Jeep. If you belong to the Museum you can "adopt" a car and come to the polish parties given by the Museum for entertainment and upkeep of the cars. Hot August Nites started in Reno: 50's and 60's cars riding around with people returning to the kindness of that era. It started here because a lot of these cars were the transportation / working cars used. And Hot August Nites was when they got spruced up and cruised. Now these cars are very expensive. But still nice to see. Balloon races because of the big sky they can be seen a long time. Last year there was a Big Eagle that went up first. It was so big it didn't go very far. Just kind of stayed up in the sky. Really magnificent to see in the early morning. You can go on the grounds and watch them all 'light up.' National Air Races: Started as an annual show-off show of military and private planes from military base of Stead Air Force Base, which has since been closed. Many stunts of last year and prior have been outlawed, but it's still an impressive show. Clouds. Very awesome. I go to work early, and the morning sky is a token of God's lovely handiwork. I also got a good job here. I am Internal Auditor, and it's the best job the Lord could have gotten me. I am learning new skills which, if I can pass the Internal Auditor exam, I can become certified and be able to work anywhere. This job also, like for Lucky Girl, gives me my best salary to date. (During my 20+ years of TWI we moved to much to build a career with a company, and I chose the way Corpse instead of getting the teaching credential I always wanted.) I also had a very "difficult" job here in Reno, and the job I got was a sheer miracle. Fred's "good" job company went bankrupt, and we lost house, cars, everything before things started to turn around. Only the Lord is keeping us going, not the economy of this place. Dear D..Janet Janet Reno is a woman who is not from Reno Nevada -- Reno is her last name. She was formerly Attorney General. You can look her up and decide if you want to be internet-related to her. IMHO About Reno NV (Lucky Girl already likes it. I'm working at seeing this place with God's love): Nevada found to be the "least religious" of all states. (fewest churches, fewest churched people by the poll. To me most ungodly of places.) As soon as you cross the border over from the High Sierra beauty of Lake Tahoe, you come to gray-brown of Nevada. Harsh winds. dry snow. High desert. Little moisture. High electrical storms (and resulting fires). High alkaline soil makes it tough to grow anything. Major base of economy is sin -- gambling, prostitution. And with other states legalizing gambling, the economy of Nevada unstable at best. Once I was in the Walmart parking lot. High, dry Wind. And I said out loud to no one in particular (sound doesnt' carry in the wind) "This is like hell. Reno's like hell." Then I heard, "Hi, Kit!" from behind, and it was a friend from work with her (very cute) little boy. we chatted, and she left. Then the Lord said to me, "See, it's not hell. Your friends are here." 1. People here need God's love. That's why I'm here. 2. My friends aren't in hell. That's very comforting. Reno Gazette Journal is the newspaper http://www.rgj.com Feel free to email me if you really want to come. Pawtucket visited. Fred and I are pretty harmless exwayfers. Lucky Girl: You can do a "private topic" for someone you want to privately chat with and/or give private information to. These private topics are discussed on another thread I think. Well the guy has heart. And I'll take real heart wherever I find it. lumpy though it may be. Better than no life in an acting (like no art in an artist). I'd like to see him play in Omega Code 3. Kit Kit Sober I love to hear you laugh -- God
