Reminds of of circa 1985 Leisure Suit Larry. Thankyouverymuch Coolwaters.

IMHO they have enough troubles. Maybe a little kindness might mean the difference between hope and hopeless. My mom used to say, "there but for the grace of God go I." I try to remember that always. Hopefully,

The Buddy Holly Story showed how Buddy Holly was the first white group to play the Apollo theater, and also they traveled together and got hotel rooms together. . . It seems that musicians have a greater ear for the spirit of people and how we are made from one flesh because tuning the symphony and harmony of the music is the job -- and that comes from inside a person. Hey, Ted. When are you going to publish this stuff! This is GREAT!

Imbus, Really nice story. Thanks for giving it to us. A most severe consequence of the twi-physical-challenge-guilt-trip I know personally was Doug Simmons, a wonderful guy from California. From the WOW field to the Rock (? ? circa 1972-3? ?) he was in an automobile accident. He would be disfigured and crippled, and he gave up living didn't want to live "imperfectly." And his funeral, no twi people came. (I didn't find out until later, and couldn't ever find his mom to tell her how precious her son was to me.) Another very sad and bitter memory from the twi years.

Alfakat mentioned Del Duncan and Bxx Mxxxxxxx and I thought of the difference between Judas and Peter. Both denied Jesus (we do this anytime we screw up) but Peter really repented. Judas went nuts. Bxx Mxxxxxxxx and these other guys who trade their heart of flesh for a heart of stone are just nuts. (When I wrote Bxx Mxxxxxxx after leaving twi he wrote me and told me never to write him again, that I was nuts.) Hope they trade back for their heart of flesh. They definitely were nicer before. Hopefully,

Who Was The Most Loving Non-Human in The Way?
Kit Sober replied to Oakspear's topic in About The Way
Well, I never really felt I "belonged" at twi -- all these really nice people -- and then me. And vpw said that Tic always knew someone who didn't belong. And Tic didn't chase me off. He just gave me a sniff and moved on. It was a big deal to me. I was sorry when I heard he'd been killed. And I now do believe that dogs and cats and other animals will be in heaven -- it would not be complete without them. (Animals also choose to be good or bad -- the dog who gives his life to save his master -- the land-mine searching dogs, etc. (I don't know what cats do that would earn them a place there. . .) -
Well, I am looking forward to the sequeal, "The Lethal Weapon: The Battle of Armageddon," with Jesus Christ, King of Kings and Lord of Lords, and his eyes a blaze of fire, and a robe soaked in blood, and a sharp sword comes out of his mouth so he can subdue nations... That will be one bloody movie!

nknative - Happy Birthday 4/1 (you're no fool)!
Kit Sober replied to Kit Sober's topic in Birthdays and Anniversaries
And Birthday flowers because Spring is springing -
Last nite we got Gary Busey's 1978 "The Buddy Holly Story" for $5.50 at Walmart, and watching it I was reminded again how important it is to pray for these musicians, not criticize them. Musicians are a front line of the army, so to speak, and so many of the children with musical ability who needlessly died could, perhaps, be still singing today if the churches had prayed for them rather than condemned them. I am so thankful for you, Ted, and your kind kind of example of a musician/mentor in the world today. Love your music then, and now!

My son loves Linux. I pray for those guys to have great wisdom and understanding to weave in and around the web of deceit which works to destroy independent thinking. Thanks for reminding us, Pawtucket. Hopefully,

I found it at the video store across the street. I don't look at birds the same way after seeing the movie -- it builds compassion and respect for their life-style. And I certainly don't think I could ever eat duck again.

If you get the dvd, there are some great "special features," which talk about how they raised different flocks of birds, training them to be around the sound of the plane, people, cameras, etc. The camera crew is in a small plane in those avalance scenes. Very Dangerous. Truly an Incredible Journey. What a great way to spend some time -- making a film of such proportions. Hopefully,

Kit Sober replied to Kit Sober's topic in Birthdays and Anniversaries
Dear sirguessalot. I really am guessing at your birthday day -- A friend of your just said it was "this week." So, I hope your week isn't weak, but strongly wonderful. Hopefully, -
I'd vote for the paper mach?BR> Then, afterwards, you can stash it away for when you're old and gray, to remind you of today. That's what I'd say.

lowlylollypoppy99 says, above, Job 1 tells us that Job feared God and escheweed evil, had children he loved, camels, asses, sheep and oxen in such number that "...this man was the greatest of all the men of the east."The Lord said of Abraham, the father of all them that believe, (Genesis 15) "...a father of many nations have I made thee. And I will make thee exceeding fruitful, and I will make nations of thee, and kings shall come out of thee." God loves His people to be successful. It appears to me that twi philosophy of denigrating people who are successful in the world is only an ideological excuse for 1. milking them of their money for more "spiritual" purposes. 2. getting more blind devotion to the twi "cause" of spiritual isolation. 3. supporting the mindset that someone other than Mel Gibson has a right to determine how he spends his money. imbus, the archives are like the dusty "stacks" of the library, filled with wonderful things that others have contributed. Linda Z was the first to suggest organizing the threads into an order (back on WayDale when we didn't know that there would be no "history" to be maintained). I just thought you would enjoy what others had shared previously. Hopefully,
