  1. Received this in an email ("This Week's Sermon") and thought it had some pretty wonderful insight.
  2. I have (hopefully) become a lot kinder since my arrogant know-it-all twi days. speaking about "cult involvement" is generall a shocking kind of thing, and most people don't care. Generally people need a friend, kindness, solutions to their problems, the time of day -- not more problems, which "cult involvement" topics bring. Generally there are other more helpful and time-redeeming subjects with which to fill the air. Hopefully, Kit
  3. Well both father and son found out -- as many others have -- that Jesus Christ is the only savior who is still alive today :)--> p.s. thanks for telling me about Top Gun. I'll have to look at it again:)-->
  4. Dear Pat, My prayers also are with you. Kit
  5. congratulations on such a nice family! (It's obvious no one can say, "get a life" to you. You have a fine one:)--> ) Thanks for letting us see. Hopefully, Kit
  6. :)--> God bless you always, In all ways, All your days, Sincerely and hopefully, Kit
  7. Bells of Innocence is a faith based movie. Chuck Norris plays an angel who shows people that Jesus came to redeem the common man, and leaves the choice up to them whether they fit that category. I loved it. After Walker Texas Ranger, Clarence Gilyard went to work on the Left Behind series, and now we have Chuck Norris as an angel in this Bells of Innocence. In the dvd "Making of Bells of Innocence" Chuck Norris talks about how Jesus christ is his Lord and that he hopes playing angel will be prep work for his "part" in heaven, where he plans on going. It's heavy on symbolism. I enjoyed it more after watching the "Making of..." segment because I was able to understand more what they were trying to do.

    Healing

I loved "The Happy Hunters," Frances and Charles Hunter. They are in their 80's I think, and still giving and teaching. After leaving twi I was so happy to find them. They just really enjoy their life. Enjoying the presence of the Lord. They just flat out sell their "class" on healing. I was so happy to not have to grovel to be able to watch it -- rewind, wear out what I wanted skip over what I wanted. Since then (circa 1994) of course I have found that the "control freaks" of twi are not the Christian norm, but back then it was a Great Comfort. Love the Happy Hunters. Got to go to one live crusade. Just some more people who have given their lives to work for the Lord. Kit
  9. Dmiller, Thank you for the kindness you bring to the Cafe. Did you know that there was only one David in both Old and New Testaments? And all references to David refer to him. now IMO, each "David" is a touch of the Lord's kindness into the world. In the same fashion that the Lord had to wait so long to be able to give His Holy Spirit to the millions and milliions of "whosoever"s it's now available to, so there are millions of Davids I would guess since the end of writing of the Bible, and each is a treasure (such as yourself:)-->). Hopefully, Kit
  10. The July 2004 Catholic Digest, which is like Reader's Digest, only with Catholic themes, had an interview with Nicholas Sparks. The inspiration behind "the Notebook" is the story of his wife's grandparents. To the question "Is most of your fiction that intimate and personal?" Sparks answers,
  11. Now this is a great movie. If you liked Endless Summer.. . You will love this one. by the same people who made Endless Summer. . . Bruce Brown of the 1966 has stayed in love with and devoted to surfing and surfing people and his son has the same kind affection. "Step into Liquid" is from the son. Film techniques have improved in and the hearts have gotten bigger. Many family story lines of Endless Summer people. I think these guys made the film to finance their surfing and the travels to visit people they love. Loved it.
  12. Happy Birthday Kelly God bless you always, In all ways, All your days, Sincerely and hopefully, Kit Sober Reno Nevada
  13. Dear Dot, Love you more than words can say, Grow to love you more each day. Hope you'll stay, Hope you'll not forever go away, Hope for you, too, the Greasespot Cafe, Will always be a nice place to play. Sincerely and hopefully,
  14. I'm kind of lining up here with TheEven (if I understand him correctly) -- To me the greatest effects of the "trinity debate" are (1) the ridiculous way it makes Christians look as they quibble on and on, and (2) the hurt and ill feelings generated thereby. when facing a potential "discussion" of this type face to face I have been able to (somewhat) diffuse the animosity by just keeing to what the Bible says. It seems that the aregument and ill feelings grow from reading between the lines, so to speak. In love with and possessed by Jesus Christ, Kit
  15. On one of the Ronald Reagan places, I found mention that the book, "That Printer of Udell's" made a life-changing impact on Ronald Reagan's life. It's available as a Gutenberg ebook, free download: That Printer of Udell's It's a perceptive, non-propoganda 1902 novel I thought you might like. Hopefully, Kit

    Marlon Brando

the AFa top 100 songs included Marlon Brando, "Guys and Dolls" singing "Luck be a Lady Tonite." He was one handsome guy! Miss him. . .
  17. Before the ROA petting zoo, flies were entertainment and pets for my boys. (What do you call a fly with no wings? a walk.) my hair made a leash and, of course, the above mentioned entertainment. This did, however, gross out people because our "playground" was a meal tent where we were sitting with friends passing the time away. fond memories....
  18. Dear Steve!, You have given so much to us at the Greasespot Cafe, So glad you take time to come here to play. Hope your birthday's happy, Hope your cake is very good. Hope your day is full of memories you will chersh tomorrow. God bless you always, In all ways, All your days, Sincerely and hopefully,
  19. I didn't see it all, but did see Marlon Brando singing "Luck be a lady tonite." That was nice.
  20. Happy Birthday Dear Grizz With hope and prayers it's a wonderful one! God bless you always, In all ways, All your days, Sincerely and hopefully,
  21. I'm sticking to the story that Jesus is the way the truth and the life and that no man comes unto the Father God (who I believe is God of gods) without Jesus. If there is anything nice about me it's only because Jesus lives in my heart (down deep). the thinking that there is one god over all who makes no distinction between "religions" is what led Daniel Pearl into the arms of people who want to steal, kill and destroy anyone who is related to the G-d of Jesus and His people, as well as the rest of the Jews. Hopefully, Kit Sober Reno NV

Two cannibals are eating a clown. One says to the other: "Does this taste funny to you?" :)--> "Doc, I can't stop singing 'The Green, Green Grass of Home.'" "That sounds like Tom Jones Syndrome." "Is it common?" "It's Not Unusual.":)--> An invisible man marries an invisible woman. The kids were nothing to look at either. --> Deja Moo: The feeling that you've heard this bull before. A man takes his Rottweiler to the vet and says, I went to buy some camouflage trousers the other day but I couldn't find any.:)--> What do you call a fish with no eyes? A fsh. Two termites walk into a bar. One asks, "Is the bar tender here?"
  23. Well you kind of have a predjudiced "sample group." Posters at the Greasespot Cafe by and large are ex-twiers who are getting it together with other ex-twiers as we speak. I'd go if I could. Had some great times with these people, before and after twi. Hopefully, Kit
  24. when the Holy Spirit works through and into the heart and life of a person (commonly called leading him/her to repentence), sincere remorse is there as well. I have and continue to apologize for my arrogance and stupidity of twi logic and other callous mistreatment of people. Also I've had people privately apologize to me. Only after leaving twi, however. It appears that the arrogance and hardheartedness is part of the twi territory, and getting out of that place essential for any true change of heart (Ezekiel 36:26). Kit
