Growing up, our Christmas tree was always a treasure of "handmade" ornaments. (The kindergarten cotton-ball Santa was more precious to mom than the most expensive store-bought items.) Mom would put a red bow on pieces of broken Christmas toys and hang them on the tree. When brother Pete was in College, he got this huge branch that had been trimmed from one of the campus trees and wired it up in the living room. . . I was so glad to get a tree after twi years. From a Christmas email this year: Kit

Exactly. Gehazi (vpw in our case) was not the healer. It seems to me that whenever a person does take credit for healing he/she steps onto dangerous ground.Gehazi did great when he just did as he was told. It was when he started to second-guess his boss that he got into trouble. We are each responsible to the Lord ourselves. The New Testament model could not refer to a spirit-filled person, who is supposed to talk with Holy Spirit himself, obeying another man 100%. Although vpw drew a parallel between himself and Elisha, the real parallel, in my opinion, is between Gehazi and vpw. And Holy Spirit by His work whoever is the tender believer at the time, makes the ministry appear of the Elisha. This would be my explanation for the healings, as well as the signs, miracles and wonders, I know did occur within my twi times. vpw (and all of us) would have been much better off if vpw subjected his life to the Holy Spirit. My opinion, Kit

"It's a Wonderful Life" Jimmy Stewart, Donna Reed, Ward Bond, et al. Classic great to remind a friend what a treasure they are, or for when you forget what a treasure you are. Kit

what about Noni juice? Does this have any integrity among people who have been into natural medicines/ homeopathy with knowledge? The noni juice discussion Kit

So after I plunk down $13.99 to try this stuff, It occurs to me "Noni" is related to the movie "Johnny Lingo," a Mormon (LDS) movie. The wealthy Johnny Lingo made and makes his money selling the processed Noni plant. And the movie is financed, at least in part, as indicated by the logo, "Tahitian Noni" on the credits. So I got to wondering how much of the beneficial effects of this Noni juice can be attributed to the hype? How much to actual benefit? wondering.... Kit

Costco, a business-owners' warehouse shopping center (I know they are in Nevada and California), carries Noni juice now. I think this is a mark of acceptance into non-fringe health world. It's not pure, but mixed with fruit juice and water, and it taste like a pleasant grape-y juice. Don't know the concentration of Noni juice. $13.99 for 32 oz.

Further research over at CBD shows that they are going to have the Webster's 1828 facsimile dictionary on CD in January 2005 for about $30. TSRTS: I don't know other than what I posted above. David Anderson (See the Oxygenated Water thread) is the one who told me about this version, and he uses it a lot. I expect that the book itself has a nice Introduction (like the facsimile of the KJV). Dave probably knows a lot about it because he's that kind of guy. Kit -
My mom gave me a nice cleaning tip years ago, which I use. "If I take my glasses off, things look cleaner." Kit

Congratulations!!! So nice to hear nice things happening to nice people. Kit

Hope you don't go to private topic on this. I am really enjoying it (and am not knowledgeable to add anything noteworthy). Kit

Wracking the brain for presents for hard to get for people. Came across gazillion gifts at Klutz.com, and until 12/13, they are giving free shipping and a $10 discount on orders over $60. Coming from the California Bay area I found perfect gifts there for two Very Intelligent nephews who live in Connecticut and one brother and his significant other and for one son. Any other good ideas you've come up with for presents? Hopefully, Kit

As noted by others as well. I had been kicked out previously to finding the 'ex-way sites' of WayDale and Greasespot Cafe. (Trancechat I'd seen before but thought people were just grousing, and the problem was theirs, not a problem with what twi was.) WayDale and Greasepot Cafe gave me access to understanding that it wasn't "my fault," and that all I had hoped about The Bible/Jesus Christ etc. was still true, and the problem was in the cult of twi, and of course my problems were still my problems, but Jesus Christ was, and ever is, the answer, not twi. I am deeply thankful for Pawtucket and the people who come here for making this place available with so much good stuff. Kit

IMHO Matilda demonstrated the different impact between movie/make believe and when we are able to touch history. Matilda, over on the Aviator thread, said And I thought others also have memorable "touching history" events.Growing up in thee Califoernia Bay area, many "touches" of history were available to me, from the wonders of the museum and Palace of Fine Arts displays to being able to see and hear the Grateful Dead at the Fillmore, the Bay to Breakers marathon.... so many treasures of the heart. I think most "touching" was circa 1995 when my brother took me to the Dead Sea Scrolls exhibit when it was in San Francisco. what touched me the most was a pile of shekels unearthed from someone's house in the Bible lands. . . Maybe about the price Judas paid? ? ? Kit

We had a Big Hassle with the IRS back in 1995, and they charged us very unfairly but we were in the kind of IRS-right-we-wrong judgment. Since then Fred requires we have our taxes done professionally, and it seems to help. Fred is convinced the IRS tags those who do their own taxes as easy prey because they aren't as knowledgeable of IRS ins and outs and can be intimidated easily. Kit

Did he take PFAL? (That's the real question for all of us who know that the distinction of all time is PFAL or not PFAL. Holy Spirit's working, a relationship with the Lord, all these things pivot on the issue of PFAL, class of the ages.) Kit

Is there a way to find out about what these guys stand for? (Is there a listing?) -
yes, dmiller -- it's not xnal, it's fastidious. String mops: they were always too dirty for me. I'd just clean floor on my hands and knees with a clean cloth. But now there's "Swifter" it grabs the (clean) cloth. And your handy-dandy bleach-n-soap (or whatever solution pleases your fancy) can replenish the solution container. It's the greatest thing for me. Got me off my knees (cleaning the floor). Kit

Dave helped Fred fix up a simple oxygenating system using one of those "korny kegs" (like soda fountains use) and an oxygen tank (the current big one has lasted months). In my opinion it's given me extra time here on earth. I have kidney problems, like what killed Erma Bombeck, and drinking oxygenated water is making a difference. I have used distilled water for my drinking and cooking water for years. The oxygenated water has an effect on top of the distilled water value. Thank you for this, too, Dave. Kit
