A couple of weeks ago, following the worst-ever-in-Reno-history snow (when snow/slush is still on the ground), I have this little KIA sportage. . .and the freeway was backed up for miles, so, I thought to take a shortcut. The "shortcut is over an unpaved dirt-snow-mud road. Stupid idea. Holy Spirit said, "don't even try it. Take the paved road." Going past the other end of the "shortcut" there are bigger and more formidable off-road models of reno 4-wheel trucks stuck in the "road" I was going to try. This was stupid revelation because I shouldn't have even been thinking of driving that "road." An idiot would have known better. I felt realllly stupid. Kit

When Ronald Reagan was President, I saw in the federal employment office a wonderful poster thanking the civil servants. It used to be a sincere company slogan, "Our greatest asset is our employees." And it was a true slogan and a successful company that believed so. I am fortunate to work now for a casino that operates as thougyh it's greatest asset is its people. Many of Nevada casinos (not the mafia ones) were built by owners who took really good care of their people. Stateline/Silver Smith, with the smiling waving cowboy (used to be on the Nevada/Utah border town of Wendover NV), is a good example. I now am getting to know some of those people who worked with them then. And it's a privilege to do so. What happened with the Stateline/Silver Smith, and others: The son took over, abandoned the good people who worked for his folks, and destroyed the place. Stateline/Silver Smith story has a somewhat happy ending because Peppermill bought the Silver Smith and hired many of the employees. Peppermill gave them full benefits as a "transfer" -- i.e. if they worked for Stateline/Silver Smith for 18 years, they received 18-year seniority/benefits when they came to work at Peppermill Casinos Inc. what do you call a man with no arms and no legs in the ocean? (I thought of this when I was in the prayer forum, but didn't want to break up the "praying for you" theme.)

Oxygenated water helps people who want to maintain their bodies to be a better instrument. It works. Terill Owens was able to play in the Superbowl because of oxygen therapy, gainsayers notwithstanding. from Dave A: hopefully, still,

Good gravy! This is what I did as a kid. . . Once I made a Huge Card out of newspaper end paper for a neighbor who had been sick -- she was really frail -- and I hid in the bushes and watched her open the door and find it. She guessed it was me. How tacky can you be? Glad I was never sued. If so, I would probably be a different person today. Glad the girls got comforted in their tribulation.

when we got our big snow (worst in history as far as I can tell), I was feeling like it was The Day After Tomorrow. Now we are getting the freezing fog: fog from the evaporating then freezing. It makes for lovely winter draperies, but it is hard to drive in. Praying for people out and about in this snow. kit

The most obnoxious neighbor -- a legacy from twi. Thinking of our neighbors as enemies IMHO is what twi wanted us to do so we wouldnt' develop any kind of network outside of them. from Christmas through the new year and after Reno, as well as other places here in Nevada, had a worst-ever snow storm. It was neighbors who dug out this place. I was alone except for the neighbors (Fred was in California). I'm learning to be kind to neighbors and help them whenever I can. We are neighbors to them. I had one neighbor-with-barking-all-the-time-dog. I tried talking to him. Everything I knew. Then one day the Lord said, "Stand back and watch my deliverance," and within a few hours a bunch of people came and moved this guy and his dog out. It was so cool. (This guy was kind of like his dog so it had to be a miracle so many people would help him out.) Kit

Dave, Maybe the medical profession doesn't recognize the benefit of oxygenated water, but i for one consider it to have given me a new lease on life. And I do hope that the medical profession can miraculously incorporate oxygenated water into their treatment of cancer. I sure would like to see that study. hopeful and very thankful, Kit

Are there instructions for making distilled water on this thread somewhere? If not, would someone please add this information? Kit

Penta Water vs your own oxygenated water. The stuff you make yourself is much cheaper and carries more oxygen than the Penta water. (Dave's instructions are back at December 8, 2004.) David's doctor in Germany used only 50 ppm, but Dave had Fred set our home brew system to 80 ppm. With the nice glass bottles I have been using, the oxygen stays in a nice long time. NOTE: Reno is having a worst-ever series of snowstorms from 12/30/04 to about 1/11/05 or so. 4 feet last week and we've already had over 2 feet today. I was out there shoveling for 3 hours in freezing cold snow-blowing and didn't even freeze out. I think it's the water I've been drinking:)--> Thanks, Dave:)--> Kit

WWJLA, No. I been learning while driving on black ice. The cars that tailgate, trying to get you to go faster will not stop to help if you end up in a ditch. In other words. It's your drive, and you will be the one who will be in the car you drive when you pull up to a stop. Don't let others' tailgating get you to ignore driving safely. Kit

Here's Mine. What's Your's. New Year Resolutions

I am trying to be more humble. I am trying to be more kindhearted. I am trying to work harder. kit p.s. reply/post squares are right now blue on blue for me, so it looks like there's no "reply." I think it's part of the the post-holiday clean up our cafe owner is doing. -
Not all are creeps. Some have held fast to their connection with the Holy Spirit. There were some wonderful ones then, and by and large from what I have seen, those who went through the fire, with their Holy Spirit connection in tact, are more kind, more tenderhearted, more sub-servient (serving beneath the Lord) than ever. Additional notes on making your ow oxygenated water. (See Dave's 12/8/04 post for instructions) It is really easy once you have the setup set up. A friend who works with oxygen and other tanks assured me that the 3-foot high tank we have, if it lost it's cap and went out of control, would only fizz around the room, and that it's the bigger ones that would rocket across and go through walls etc. if the cap came off. That was reassuring to me. I have been using glass bottles for my water, and it is much nicer, IMHO. If I was going to sell "Pneuma Water" (Dave's name for the product), I would go with a top of the line bottling (wine bottles and a rubber stopper), and promo the "Pneuma Water" as "a sobering experience," since the added oxygen does help restore sanity after partying. (Fred compared it to the whiff's of pure oxygen he and his military compatriots would inhale after a night of indulgence.) Also I was thinking that the glass bottles, in addition to no plastic heebie jeebies, would also get the more delicate, high-class treatment of the wine section of the store, which I think such a product should have. polar bear. welcome [back?] to Greasespot Cafe!!!! Hope you enjoy your stay. Probably some administrator will move this thread to "Doctrine." Def over on the current homosexual thread (many pop up here) said something like "don't tell me you want equal treatment and then say how special you are." If you want "What would Jesus do?" to die, then remove it from your vocabulary, and certainly don't start a thread about it. Greasespot threads can have a life of their own. Check out the "The" thread or "thread killer" thread for simple example. The nostalgia thread over in the reading room is carefully protected in content and filled with content by the interested parties. What would Jesus do? is a favorite of mine. I love Jesus, and since leaving twi, I can say that word. When in twi, in my neck of the woods, there was a big deal made about pronouncing that Jesus name lest we be using the name of the devil spurt named Jesus (? ? ? ) And Holy Spirit back then eased my mind over that one by saying "Jesus" rhymed with the cracker "Cheezits." Jesus was and is a great guy, and what He would do in a situation is my life living criteria. As Kit-of-tacky-poems, thinking of the hands of His today, I wrote a song (unpublished, of course, but In my mind it's got a strong beat" (this is off the top of my head. Something like this...) Kit

Thank You Dorothy, Thank You Rhoda...on Ebay
Kit Sober replied to DaddyHoundog's topic in About The Way
Thank you DaddyHoundog. WhiteDove: Thanks for the information about thank you dorothy and thank you rhoda being available from twi. Some people don't mind going to that place, others do. I'd prefer to buy stuff from a Greasespot Cafe person than from twi. God is so kind to keep us all with what we need to be satisfied:)--> Happy New Year! Kit -
