One person Pt'd me saying noni helped get rid of a tumor. (Could it be not wanting to run the gauntlet of ridicule and insults so rampant at Greasespot?) I do what someone stated as a ridicule: I put some noni juice in oxygenated water instead of coffee in the morning. I have tried different brands. And found that most, especially the Costco and Walmart brands, add fruit juices and other flavors to make it tastier. I tried ordering some pure Tahitian noni online and that was nice, and added the fruit juice and flavorings myself. Today I found a Hawaiian company, and ordered one bottle to try that. I am hoping it will be fresher than the Tahitian noni, and perhaps better tasting:

I found the book "Rich Dad Poor Dad" at the Bank, and then I bought it at the bookstore. It gives some good stuff on the other side of the ledger from the "good job good benefits" goals. We definitely need to be aggressive regarding our futures, and the impact we are making in the world by our lives. More hopefully,

I'm not surprised. Years ago, while watching a Clint Eastwood flick at home (Pale Rider, I think), I was having trouble with the sound on the tv, and I watched it for a while with no sound. . . and was struck how all the people were scowling through the whole movie. No happiness radiated at all. And then I started looking for some good times radiated -- after all, it is "entertainment" which, for me means, "Glad I watched it. Had a good time." Kit

Thanks Long Gone. I did know that someone was going to laugh at this story -- nice! (A woman who had gone through the same thing could think it was very funny -- like the stuff we we through in twi no one else could laugh at.) Thanks, again, kit

I was really sad. It wasn't until transchat/waydale/greasespot cafe days that things made sense. John Paul II's passing is different because he was a man who lived what he preached. When "those who were with him said he looked out the window and said 'amen' and then fell asleep" were not making it up. John Paul II lived the love he knew to be. I am really glad John Paul II lived. Not so with vpw. Kit

Pope John Paul II lived for me what "father in the Word" might stand for: :)--> He lived to his utmost his calling. :)--> He lived to protect poor and oppressed people. :)--> He reached out to children. :)--> Overall, he was kind. The priest at Mass this morning could not keep from crying over this loss. "We loved him because he first loved us," has a most personal meaning for me today. Kit

Did Terri Schiavo's parents ever try to get guardianship?

A more local story, and more personal (but I could find no further word of how the little guy is doing) 30 years ago (fresh-twi years) I worked at Alta Bates Hospital in Berkeley in Central Supply-- And I was able to spend a lot of precious time praying for these so fragile babies. For evaluation, Premature births or special circumstances can routinely go to intensive care, and given the non-sterile circumstances of his birth it is possible. Baby Intensive Care is intense. Babies on life support. More than one specially trained nurse per baby. Staff doctor 24/7. Parents usually can't even touch their babies, but through little holes in the box with rubber between them and baby.... Some babies so small you can't hardly believe it. The fact that this baby he was still in intensive care and not just "under observation" and due to the size of this guy (anything over 6 lbs was considered a full-size weight 30 years ago) something else may be wrong. keep praying for good measure, Kit

My boss and my co-worker planned to quit smoking yesterday.... April fools!!! (they still smoke)

I'm sorry (and praying) for, "the baby is intensive care." kit

I would probably class MS closer to OJ than Scott Petersen, who was found guilty by the courts. Schiavo and Simpson both received court sanction and approval. I am so thankful to know the Lord holds these things in His mighty hands. Forest Gump's mom said, "Stupid is as stupid does." So also, Kindness is as kindness does. Kit

Did Terri Schiavo's parents ever try to get guardianship?

Another prayerful statement from Frangipane: I still maintain that the life of a person should be more protected than the life of a dog. (It's a crime to starve a dog but it is legally and court-sanctioned to starve Terri Schiavo.)The shutteth up the bowels of compassion of I John 3:17 is "If you see some brother or sister in need and have the means to do something about it but turn a cold shoulder and do nothing, what happens to God’s love? It disappears. And you made it disappear" in The Message translation. Hardening of the spiritual arteries is not only a consequence of cult-mindset but also all intellectual arrogance. Terri Schiavo is a woman who is being publicly tortured under the approval of our entire legal community. I am so sorry and ashamed of this for our country which, in the past, has been able to say we are the home of the brave and the land of the free. Kit Sober "this is my story and I'm sticking to it." -

This guy is not like you, Dear Shellon. :(--> During an interview, a previous nurse of Terri's stated he had her fired for "talking back" to him. :(--> He used the first money of the lawsuit settlement to vacation in Europe. :(--> He has stated he will not marry the woman by whom he has a child (which leaves her where? ? ) Sounds to me like this guy is a class A xxxxxxx. When down in LA for an event I hoped to see someone famous on the freeway -- and I saw some people from twi and i was happy -- what a dork i was:)--> Kit

W.W.J.D. is very personal to me. It's not about telling others what they should do, but living His example to the best of my ability. In this day and time we have many examples of voiceless preaching by the example of a life lived -- Christians in moslem countries and in China where it is a crime to be a Christian. If the kindness of Christ does not shine through I am lost. hopefully, Kit

for me, court sanctioned murder of Terri Sciavo is a shameful low-water mark for our nation, and another publicly and judicially condoned spouse abuse/murder. The following is from Dutch Sheets, a prayer-full pillar of the Lord: -
And heroes today as well. That's what America is made up of. That's what made up America. Thankful for the brave soldiers living and dead who have fought for and continue to fight for our freedom. Humbled, Kit

Well I have a real problem with this oxygenated water stuff. I was happily settled into gray hair, and started coloring it to a "mega blond". no problema. But now my hair is growing out black (like it was many years ago), and to keep it blond I need to do touchup every two weeks. Oh, well. Everything has its downside. I don't know if blonds have more fun or if they are stupider than others (as some would have us believe), but I do know manufactured blonds can spend a lot for hair care products:)--> kit

Congratulations. So nice of you to share your happiness with us here. two amazing things I have found about babies. 1. It's amazing that the Good Lord can get so much love into such a tiny package. 2. It's amazing that you don't need to be a fancy photographer to get a good picture of a baby. The picture, from any angle, is a masterpiece. Kit

Well, it's out in dvd. I never wanted to see it because I thought it was a scary movie (which I don't like), but while at the video store a mom and dad both recommended it. I like movies where the good guys win, some nice humor, bad guys that you can tell are nice people acting like bad guys (e.g. Gary Busey), little or no blood, and the people in the movie (actors and staff) improved by the experience. Cellular fits all this, IMHO. From the "Special features" I learned that it was filmed in Hollywood, and the best and most experienced of stuntment, photographers, etc. were available because so many films today are filmed in Canada or abroad. It seemed to me the people enjoyed working with each other, and they put their all into the project, and were pleased with the result. Toby Emmerich, who produced one of my favorites, "Frequency," is involved in this project as well. Also his son, Noah, plays a cop. I think it's nice for a family movie. Kit
