There is a factory which makes the "Tickle Me Elmo toys. As you know the toy laughs when you tickle it. A new employee is hired at the Tickle Me Elmo factory and she reports for her first day promptly at 8 a.m. At 8:45 there is a knock at the Personnel Manager's door. The foreman from the assembly line throws open the door and begins to rant about the new employee. He complains that she is incredibly slow and the whole line is backing up, putting the entire production line behind schedule. The Personnel Manager decides he should see this for himself, so the two men go down to the factory floor. When they get there the line is so backed up there are Tickle Me Elmos all over the factory floor. and beginning to pile up. At the end of the line stands the new employee surrounded by a mountain of Tickle Me Elmos. She has a roll of plush red fabric and a huge bag of small marbles. The men watch in amazement as she cuts a little piece of fabric, wraps it around two marbles and begins to carefully sew the little package between Elmo's legs. The Personnel Manager suddenly burst into laughter. After several minutes of hysterics and tears from laughter streaming down his face, he pulls himself together and approaches the woman. "I'm sorry" he says to her, barely able to keep a straight face, "but I think you misunderstood the instructions I gave you yesterday. Your job is to give each Elmo coming off the line a couple of test tickles."

The LDS people have quite a movie industry. (Johnny Lingo, Mafia and Mormons, The Other Side of Heaven for example.). I liked them all.

Precious Lord. Precious Lord, take my hand, Lead me on, let me stand, I am tired, I am weak, I am worn; Through the storm, through the night, Lead me on to the light: Refrain Take my hand, precious Lord, Lead me home. When my way grows drear, Precious Lord, linger near, When my life is almost gone, Hear my cry, hear my call, Hold my hand lest I fall: Refrain When the darkness appears And the night draws near, And the day is past and gone, At the river I stand, Guide my feet, hold my hand: Refrain (Somewhere there is a clip of Elvis singing this)

I think vpw was the worst because he conned the whole bunch of us -- including making lcm worse then himself. Without vpw lcm could have been like his dad, which wouldn't have been bad at all. I am so very thankful that God is good and just, and I will be happy to see vpw get his just reward. The blood of many is upon his head.

Bitterness has a way of taking root in our soul and bringing forth bitter fruit against those we love. That's one of the prices of refusing to forgive. Another price is the Lord's voice "I told you so," rather than, "Here you go." Hoping to forgive more,

What I am especially blessed by with the "offshoots' is their integrity. Christian Family Fellowship (Milford Bowen, Wayne Clapp etc.), liberating Ministries for Christ International (Dale Sides et al), Association of Christian Fellowships (Frank Tulak et al) are a few of the ones I know personally, and they all are committed to walking the walk as well as talking the talk to the best of their ability. I love them all.

I believe that the Lord has a spouse for each of us -- his own and/or her own. when you find that one that the lord has made (such as Eve for Adam), then there is no more looking. (I have.) Perhaps if one found oneself married to the wrong one, and then the right one comes along further on down the line. . .decisions must be made. Some people in our group back in the early 90s "found their made in heaven" mate outside of their marriages -- when they were in their 40s and broke up two marriages and 7 kids (I think) in putting their "perfect marriage" together. Last I heard they were both happy together. Although I have lost touch with these people, I wish them the best (as I do everyone) and hope they are happy and that the "fallout" people are doing good too (as usual, the kids, suffer the most it seems) .

back in the late 1990s, when ex-way was new to me, I went to a few of their meetings and the dancing and waving holy hands was uncomfortable and stiff -- people trying things out they weren't raised with -- but other groups have been doing it a long time and it's lovely. At my first Billy Graham crusade in 1996 or so in Sacramento one of the things I was so blessed with was how so many people did raise their hands and it looked so Holy-Spirit flow. And other charismatic groups have been on this learning curve as well. -- The Brownsville Revival was 1992-1995 in Pensacola Florida. The Holy Spirit has been pouring out and we are all learning this stuff at an amazing rate (persecution, torture and murder of Christians has also been increasing as well.) Learning,

This attitude of praising God for cancer sound similar to the "prison to praise" of Merlin Carothers -- "Prison to Praise" was in the early twi bookstores, but was dropped along with the Holy Spirit from that place. The Praise God philosophy is not a "I'm thankful I'm sick. My best friend is an alcoholic..." but developing and holding fast to the mindset that God has things in control. This mindset sets a "home" in our heart for the trusting of the Lord to grow. Joni Tada, the girl who was crippled into a paraplegic in a swimming accident at the height of her youth. Joni has spent over 30 years in a wheelchair, has gone through the phases of hopeless despair, praying for deliverance, and now she says she is thankful -- knowing that she has reached far more hearts with the love of Christ and the inspiration of her life to so many who would be on the brink of despair without her example. Also including she has a "WOW -- wheelchairs for the World program that donates used wheelchairs to people who would not have any otherwise. NOTE: Regarding "...it's the stones in the brook that make it sing...." vpw did not coin this. just as his research was stolen, so were his one liners (many from Vincent Peal and others) -- and unfortunately the bad taste left by the twi experience has tainted those one liners as well as the research -- which often were originally given by the Holy Spirit to someone who was walking with Him. I never yet have had cancer. But my sister did, and it truly is life-changing event. After it hits, you can never rest again, I think, unless you can rest and trust in the Lord. And this issue is what the "using cancer" is addressing. (I do have some personal-heart-torture issues, and these are only satisfied in the trusting-the-Lord humility. In hope,

It takes a devil spirit to murder?
Kit Sober replied to CoolWaters's topic in Doctrinal: Exploring the Bible
I am happy to use 'demon' or whatever someone is talking about -- there are some lively and wonderful research going on in the world regarding the way the power of the devil is manifested -- and how to shut his mouth. -
With Apologies to Jesus and the Trinity
Kit Sober replied to T-Bone's topic in Doctrinal: Exploring the Bible
It always appeared to me that the "debate" was to foster division and prevent communication. I love talking to Christians about the Bible and have found that if we keep to scriptures there is no argument about that. In love with the Savior, and so thankful he save me, too. -
How do you know Del Duncan has died? OK Galen and Stayed Too Long, I'll bite. . . . What Scripture supports this? ? ? Are you saying that just because it happened in the Bible it's Biblical? What about , "..let every man have his own wife and let every woman have her own husband?"

My 2 cents: Forgiveness is not something earned. (I didn't earn the Lord's forgiveness and no one needs to earn mine. ) The price of unforgiveness is too high -- The more difficult the forgiveness, the greater the pay (from the Lord). Hardheartedness is the cost/price (I'm not sure which) of unforgiveness. You only have the authority to forgive offenses against you -- If someone wronged someone else, I have no concern regarding forgiving. My responsibility would be ensuring that I maintain a kind kind of kindness. (people sticking their nose in other business has always been a messy situation.) lcm kicked me out of TWI, for which I am ever thankful. Hopefully,

There was a service station at the gas station pumping gas. . . .I asked for ethyl, and he looked at me like I was from out of space. . . "...ethyl is what we used to call supreme," I mumbled.

"None of the incidents appeared to be violent, said Middletown Police Sgt. Bill McKenna." it wouldn't be nonviolent if I found one of those guys.

Recently i was thinking of Zud and Bon Ami, cleaning products, and how much I missed them. . . and then a friend gave me a can of each. (She was cleaning out some stuff, found them, and thought I might like them.) Too cool. As long as we have WD40 and duct tape, things are repairable.
