It was inspirational to me, and helped set this growing old into perspective. Glad you liked it.

Good point, Ellen Crean: I would think (going back into the files of my memories) the twi part was most important to the participants -- at least to the leadership there who spoke to the reporters -- more important than anything else -- not family, not friends, not the national holiday. Catholics, Episcopalians, and Jews and other Protestants get together for Thanksgiving to give thanks to their God for stuff and to celebrate with family and friends, and usually some uninvited guests added in for good measure, without emphasis upon their church affiliation. Non religious people celebrate thanksgiving and are just plain thankful. But nothing is done in twi without twi getting the glory and praise. It's part of cult mentality. So in the interview the twi aspect would naturally be the emphasis made by the twiers, which was likewsie dutifully reported.

Thank you so much for all you do for us. I add my hopes and prayers to the rest of the bunch of happy birthdays.

Just saw this movie. I knew Fred would like it, and I was surprised at how much it blessed my life to see it. Not just for the art and expert craftsmanship of the thing, but for the awesome depth of the Jewish heart and struggles it shows. (In 1972 at the Olympics in Munich, the world did watch and do nothing while Jews were being killed in Germany once again.) Movie also shows the cruel brutality of the Arab world view. The question of fighting back in the face of overwhelming brutal retaliation (they assassinated one man, and the arabs killed 230 people "in response") begs consideration, but also the question of man's right to fight for his freedom, which is also addressed in the movie. I, for one person only, agree with Avner's mother and say that the right of man to fight for his freedom, even in the face of certain death, is for the others who have already died as well as for those who will come, in hope that future generations may live in freedom. Glad I saw it.

I have one atheist friend -- He has rejected the religion he was raised with. He knows where the churches are (He told me how to get to two different Catholic churches I couldn't find), he knows holy dates (and reminds me) better than I do. He is a treasure of a friend. (But, of course, I never stop praying for him because I want to spend all eternity with him, and so do his parents.) 12-2-06: I received my first Christmas card, and it was from this precious friend.

We drive from Reno to Wendover and back, approximately once a month (413 miles each way), and I gave this pic to the guys I work with. They really liked it. Thanks.

I also "thought" vp gave credit because he talked about doing so, but upon reading the "credit" he actually gave, it paled in comparison to giving credit where credit was due. Also regarding the "credit" given on the JCOP and JCNG, it does not say, as Wordwolf clearly does, that the research team did the work and vp put his name on it, or "edited" it. Also, after the research team fell out of favor, their names were omitted from the credits in latter editions. (Even being 100% in twi and blind to any other way of thinking, I thought that was not right.)

Ditto coolchef's one. Also you can always make a t seat cover with 9 squares of tp.

:) :) Heartily agreeing it is great to be able to think for onesself!!! Interesting you should say so, Wordwolf. Joyce Meyer this past weekend commented that she had written "over 70" books. And she wrote the books, not just had someone else compile her teachings. Regarding the most precious (to me) Watchman Nee, who was imprisoned for the last 20 years of his life in communist China prison: his books are for the most part compilations of teachings written from transcribed student notes. I have more than 45 Watchman Nee books, and these were almost all obtained pre-1995, pre-internet search.

Maybe someone sent him a copy of vp's RHSt book? (The evidence speaks for itself.)

Thanks for the nice sites. Very useful. klutz.com This is a nice place for special needs kids (and some special needs adults I know).

Thankful for God's Wonderful Son, that he died for me and took my sins so far away. Thankful God has not taken His Holy Spirit from me for I cannot live without Him. Thankful for my family. They protect me from ever being alone. Thankful for my church. They are the wall of fire around my life, around this city. Thankful for my job. It helps us pay our bills and be able to buy the stuff we need to live. Thankful for my neighbors. They are nice friends close at hand. Thankful for Greasespot Cafe. It keeps me mindful of these things to be thankful for. Thankfully,

So there is no good reason to quit learning. There is hope, also, for old ex-twi-ers who didn't further our education when we were [much] younger.

Thanks for the link. I signed the petition (and also emailed a few of the contacts listed with my sentiments on the subject).

Received in email today: I'm not as old as the grandpa in the story, but it gets closer day by day.

Here's Grace on Wikipedia Quite a woman! Thanks Pirate. I always admired her, and didn't know what a deep person she was. (I had never thought to find out.) Thanks, again.

Wavelit.com now has the bears on Grouse Mountain cameras active. It's snowing right now, but there are some bears out tramping about. (when do bears go into hibernation?)

I love Walter's stuff, but He is out of my price range (it's on a layaway in my budget).
