My directions for fixing things: When I need my car fixed I say "Fred, my car needs fixing," and the car gets fixed and it's very good. (This probably won't work for you, it's a spouse-specific fix.) When I have problems at the Greasespot Cafe I email and say, "Moderator [they are all nice], please fix this," and the trouble is fixed and it is very good. (This should work for you because private message they get.

Any one who has his ears next to the lips of God (and Martin Luther King, Jr was one of these), the Lord will tell him or her what they need to know to endure what's coming. I remember years ago when I first read Jeremiah for myself, and the Lord told Jeremiah, "...And I will deliver thee out of the hand of the wicked, and I will redeem thee out of the hand of the terrible." and I laughed and thought Boy, if I was Jeremiah I would have asked, . . . Now just what is this that you are going to be delivering me out of? ? ?" Now I know from experience that God's message of deliverance includes "Watch out! Trouble ahead!" Likewise, God's message of comfort and condolences are for the sorrows and troubles that we cannot prevent, we can only pray them through and hope we can respond in a godly manner. Keeping our ears tuned to the Lord allows us to know His viewpoint of things so the troubles of life that come upon us daily do not have to overtake us.

Adding my thanks, too, sincerely,

I think that the Lord makes a woman for every man, and that when you find that one, it's truly a marriage designed in heaven, made on earth following the heavenly design/pattern. What the Lord did for Isaac in Rebekkah no less can He do for us. (Fred and I had our 38th anniversary a few weeks ago.)

old organs My mom was 68 when she died, and my sister (a doctor) was there at the hospital, and said that mom's skin was especially important for burn victims. Also there was other stuff they were able to use. We got no bills for any of it. The hospital also paid for the cremation.

Where is the Greasespot support (donation) link?

Oxygenated water is great. :) Laughing at the stuff that comes around is good :) . I just read that housework is better exercise than going to the gym or having an active job.

Well I heard that Gabby Hayes had his teeth pulled for his character on the Roy Rogers, Gene Autry and other shows. . .

I wish we hadn't scared away David Anderson. Dave had stated that he had put PFAL into public domain circa 1968 because the purpose of the film was to "get the message out," and not to create a cash cow for vp. Thanks also for the lovely memory: In the 5th grade, I needed to write a report on something. My mom is my favorite artist. I convinced her to draw some (really nice) pictures for my report. My cover page said, "Illustrated by my Mom." (I didn't even put her name, and she didn't say anything about it except it was "nice.")

CSI has become increasingly graphic and is now too bloody for me. I like shows like "The A Team" "McGyver" -- the good guys win with no blood. I did get one of my favorite facts from CSI -- One segment some doctor (dentist?) murdered a bunch (his wife and boyfriend and ???) and washed everything down with bleach and there was no dna to convict the guy. So I figured, if bleach is good enough for to remove dns, certainly it's good to keep the kitchen and bathroom and my office space clean. Also I get tickled everytime I see the guy on the NY CSI because I am so glad he grew his legs back (from Forest Gump).

All these intelligent responses! I feel like I should have some good response, too, since my mom was a great teacher and my brother is now and has been a teacher for over 25 years, and my sister is a doctor. . . but I can only offer my prayers, and I am thankful that he has such concerned parents:) One thing I do know that nice teachers REALLY LIKE parents that care because then they know their efforts are not wasted. Good teachers and loving parents go together like milk and cream (where did that come from?:) Maybe because they blend together real nice and the way God made it they were one thing at the first.) Anyway, praying with you and for you, I remain hopefully,

A note on men's legs. It must be a big joke of the Lord, but men's legs do not age like women's. Women get varicose veins and dimply flab and ugly knees. . . . but not men. This summer I saw this guy who had to be in his 90's and he had legs that looked really good. My girlfriend at work and I were laughing about this very thing just the other day (watching this guy go by with great looking legs). It's not a twinkle-in-the-eye-voyeur kind of thing, but just amazement at the twinkle in the eye of the Lord who plans things. (Fred still has great legs. I don't.)

Found on a "language log" and I thought you might enjoy it if you thought that vp was the one who originated, "Don't put a period where God has put a comma."

How many of me are there? Well according to this there are no people named Kit Sober. There are also no people named Kit Schneider (my maiden name 39 years ago), although I had success with a Google search for both Kit Schneider and Kit Sober. Kit Schneider does come up as part of an advertisement for "Vision Improvement Kit, by Schneider Meir -- A book package (Kit), "With The Natural Vision Improvement Kit, Schneider teaches his innovation methods for exercising your eyes back to health." Kit Sober of course comes up for places having to do with giving up drinking and driving and such like. But a friend at work found that there were over 3,000 people with his name, and so I thought you might like to try it.

So many Christmas threads this year!!! Received this nice story in email and thought you would like it:

The wavelit.com camera has "Bears on Grouse Mountain" in Canada online now. The camera that's on the default view is (I think) the hibernation den and bears are sleeping. (I think that's what it is.)
