  1. On another thread I said JJ is a Lutheran pastor of the Missouri Synod tradition which is different from my ELCA background(Evangelical Lutheran Church in America). Actually in USA and Canada there are at least 12 different Lutheran factions, compared to over 100 little over centuary ago. Includes WELS(Wisconsin Synod), ELS (Evangelical Lutheran Synod), etc.
  2. Tried google but it didn't give info I wanted even with her married name. Been told her twin sister Linda lives in Charlotte but don't have her married name.
  3. Steve, John Judes(sp) is a pastor from the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod which is more conservative than my ELCA(Evangelical Lutheran Church in America)background.

  7. I don't need to ask for directions because i have GPS for my car. :B):
  8. John are you talking about Camp Gunnison? I understand Chris lives in Bangor, Maine. Feel sorry about his wife Barbara, maybe he has mellowed over the years, or not.
  9. Of course there were. It was they and not the serpent/snake that tempted Eve, saying how would you like playing with my nuts instead of Adam's?
  10. George Berry, Stanley Newberry and Jay Golden(?) all created Koinne Greek/English Interlinears with the last one also doing it with Hebrew text of Old Testament. Also The Word: The Bible in 26 Translations has been real popular. I personally use several translations and paraphrases when studying scriptures, plus lexicons, concordances, Bible handbooks, dictionaries, encyclopedias, and several different books on Mid-Eastern Culture and Customs beyond Pillai, Lamsa, Errico, Ralph Gower/Fred Wight, James Freeman, etc. But I see this as more of a hobby for in depth study. Personally, I prefer seeing scripture used as pericopes/lectionaires from 3 year Revised Common Lectionary for Sundays and festivals, and 2 year daily lectionary from Lutheran/Episcopalian/Presbyterian worship books along with The Upper Room(Methodist) and Moravian Daily Texts. But that's my personal opinion.
  11. Does anyone know if Joe has CD versions of the 2 albums for sale and where?(Pressed Down)
  12. You mean he is one of the Fantastic 4(Mr. Fantastic, the Thing, or else the Torch"Flame On!)
  13. This is not to be confused with Star Trek: The Next Generation(Rosie: Resistence is futile) and when did Chuck Woolery and Shandi from Lingo get mixed up with TWI?
  14. Jeff Foxworthy: Our next contestant is a former school teacher from Greenville,North Carolina. Please welcome Rosylyn Fox Rivenbark, aka known as Rosie the Riveter to her life partner Donna Martindale. RFR: Time for me to prevail against these little brats. I chose Alana. JF: Which subject? RFR: 1st grade grammar. JF: Oh, I'm sorry but we are out of time. Annoucer: Next week, see Dr. "Dean" Don Wierwille if he is smarter than a fifth grader. Theme song plays.(Let's hope Fox network doesn't sue me for infringement or Plagarism).
  15. Actually it was Kenyon in his book Advanced Studies in Living that coined The Prevailing Word long before Wierwille or Martindale even were born.
  16. Steve, just reading the short blurbs was fascinating. Congrats on your book. Just ordered it from my local B&N bookstore here in Hickory and Eyesopen, let me know when you get your book published.
  17. (commercial) Head-on for headaches, a homeopathic remedy. LCM: Did someone say homo? Head-on, I hate your commercial and despise your product. Why don't you give it to that lizzard and caveman from Gekko, I mean Geico since they need it more than me.
