Cman, your wikipedia link is closer to what I had in mind. Various Chritian authors like James F. White, Geoffery Wainwright, Frank Senn, Phillip Pfateicher, Paul Westermayer are among those whose writings are what I wished Wierwille, Geer, Martindale, Cummins, Lynn, Schoenheit, Gigou, Clapp, Finegan(sp) and others had taught the WC, which I think left many ignorant on liturgy, hymnody, church architechqual(sp), holy days, visual arts(colored stain glass, paintings, statues, icons, vestments, paraments, candles, etc). Thanks to all for your input.

On The Way Theology discussion group on Yahoo I posed the question on what is real worship.Outside of Hymns/songs, spontaneous prayers, and Bible teaching(sermon/homily), we were taught that Speaking in Tongues was the only real, true manner to worship. Dedications(since we rejected water baptism) were almost unheard of, Holy Communion was once a year during Holy Week/Easter/Passover, healing services became more of a rarity, never had an opportunity to see Way ordinations. Obviously, Wierwille never took classes on worship/liturgy not on hymnody, or else rejected such classes at Lakeland/Mission House, and Princeton. The biographies on him don't mention it. WW, Ham John J, anyone know more about this? Thanks.

When Moynihans were in Europe
Thomas Loy Bumgarner replied to DogLover's topic in About the Way in Europe
Doglover, I emailed a couple of clergy in 2 London churches(Holy Trinity Brompton Road and St. Paul's) who have created DVD's on introducing Christianity to seekers/searchers/inquirers. These free classes are entitled "Alpha-Questions on Life", "Open Home, Open Bible-Essential Bible Truth Treasury", and "Reality". The clergy in question are Nicky Gumbel, Nicky Lee, Sandy Milner, Michael Green, Richard Bewes, and Paul Blackman. So they are alerted about TWI and are already familar with the group, as they have warned their congregations about them. -
The original version occasionaly pops up on BBC America.

Other books are by KC Pilai, George Lamsa, Rocco Errico, Howard Voss, Ralph Gower revised Fred Wight, JL Packer/MC Tenney, and John Schoenheit revised George Mackie, and James Freeman. All can be found on www. bookfinder.com or on ebay.

Have you ever seen the original British version with host Clive Anderson?

Dooj, this should be required therapy for ex-wayers.

Ham, the book is debated as whether it is canon or not. Silly squirel! Besides, everyone knows I am the Real Doctor(#12), except my Tardis is now disguised as a Dodge Dynasty, which means the inside is smaller than the outside. Have seen most of Hartnell and some of Troughton, along with the rest up through Tennant's 3rd season. Actually thought VPW would have made an excellent Davros while LCM as Cyber-controller.

Sowwy! I've been a bad, bad boy(been hunting sqiwells, hehehe) Apologies to Elmew Fudd.

When did the unusual doctrines begin at The Way?
Thomas Loy Bumgarner replied to shortfuse's topic in About The Way
Actually that was the name of his Kurdish tribe/clan/patronymic/family name. Lamsa was his first name, George was added later. -
When did the unusual doctrines begin at The Way?
Thomas Loy Bumgarner replied to shortfuse's topic in About The Way
VPW was introduced to anti-trinitarianism by Jock Edwin Stiles, Brian George Leonard, and George Machismo Lamsa. -
Couple of the women in the front row looked like they were crying, and the men looked like Communist Young Pioneers.

Speaking of sqiurels, which type is Mr. Ham: Secret Squirrel(Hanna-Barbera), Rocky(Jay Ward), or Slappy from Annimaniacs(Warner Brothers)?

Conneron, This is the son, not his father who last I heard is over in Great Britain. I assume his name is Robert Brian Monihan(Jr. maybe)? Have already informed Nicky Gumbel and Bishop Sandy Milner, plus retired priest Richard Bewes and Paul Blackman. For more info, check out Holy Trinity Brompton Church, and St.Paul's both in London. That is about TWI trying to re-invade England.

No fellowship likw the old fellowship
Thomas Loy Bumgarner replied to copenhagen's topic in About The Way
Copenhagen, this is like being on drugs/alcohol/smoking, false spiritual addiction or "high". Not really healthy. We thought JC had returned and Satan had been destroyed, pseudo Garden of Eden. Me, I left in late fall of '79 but already began to feel the wrath of Wierwille and Company, a den of vipers. And this is before Martindale took over. TWI re-inforced my arrogance. yes, I wish things had been different(going to Appalachian State in Boone instead of East Carolina in Greenville) and never running into The Way International and instead focusing my time on College classes instead of Twig/PFAL, etc. But I can't moan and cry over "spilt milk", rather I picked myself up and focus on my present job and interests. Also, I wish I had gotten married back in late 70's and had children(instead of being single and lonely, and hating it), but unlike Doctor Who, I don't have a Tardis to whisk me back in time(nor the Time Tunnel or any other SciFi TV or movie program).  :(   -
LCM info I thought everyone might be interested in

So Craig is now a oily greasespot on the pavement of life. Ex-Way spit on him but not God who doesn't want to waste time .
