  1. Gen-2, meant no disrepect to you. I was simply pointing out that Wierwille obviously was familar with other authors' writings on the subject of the various gifts/manifestations/operations of the Holy Spirit and falsely claimed that he received such information by revelation. I gave the full names of Stiles and Leonard which is usually not mentioned.
  2. btw, loved the YouTube video of the various versions of the theme.
  3. I think Slyvester was ok but Michael Grade who was BBC program director(who fired Colin) already decided that Doctor Who had outlived its purpose. Paul McGann did alright(I hated the script). Then Chris Eeclestron wussed out adter 1 season. Russell Davies always wanted David Tennant to play the Doctor in the revived role. Curious to see how Matt Smith will do. btw, what do you think about Cushing's 2 movies?
  4. hey Hartnell was suppose to be a cranky old grandfather figure. It's Colin Baker's Doctor that seemed to be really mean with about almost strangling Peri Brown in the first episode. Man, what a grouch. Even Trial of a Timelord season never really mellowed him. I know that there has always been a dark side to the Doctor. Did any of you see the episode The End Of Time with the return of the Time Lords?
  5. speaking of rain, thinking of Jim Morrison and the Doors, Riders of the storm
  6. btw, Matt Smith as the 11th Doctor will be seen begining Saturday, April 17(just 2 weeks after being shown on BBC Prime/Wales) on BBC America.
  7. D Miller, that was cool. Presently listening to Women of Faith singing"Hear Our Praises" written by Ruben Morgan of Hilsong.
  8. Gen-2, Wierwille proably took info from Lee Vale, Jock Edwin Stiles, and Brian George(I think or else Gregory) Leonard, Smith Wigglesworth, Lester Sumrall(most likely), Sam Storms, David Ireland, Oral Roberts, and Dennis Bennett on defintions of the 9 spiritual gifts. Most of these books are from Whitaker House Publishing. I haven't found any writings from Rufus Mosley. Other books on "Holy Spirit" in part or full are by Billy Graham, Watchman Nee, John wimber, Nicky Gumbel, Kay Warren and Thomas Holiday(Saddleback Church), Richard Bewes/Paul Blackman/Rico Tice, Rob Weber, Michael Green, Neil Anderson, Charles and Frances Hunter(healing). btw, Episcopal Book of Common Prayer/Book of Occasional Services, Lutheran Book of Worship Occassional Services, Evagelical Lutheran Worship Leaders Desk Edition, Presbyterian Book of Common Worship, and United Methodist Book of Worship= all have Healing Services.
  9. Spiders from Mars. Wasn't that a "B" movie from the 50's?
  10. John, did you, J.L. Williams, Ronald Enroth, or others ever get permission to see a list of classes from Lakeland and/or Princeton as relates to religious studies VPW took? I tried asking, using the Freedom of Information law but both turned down my requests, even though Wierwille is deceased.
  11. Spec, you need to watch Bill O'Reilly when he gives the word of the day when telling viewers about writing letters to him. Something JL needs to learn, be pithy. LOL!
  12. I hear Jeff Dunham is looking for some new "dummies". Gee, you can work with Walter, Achmed, Peanut, and Bubba J. lol!
  13. I emailed Lakeland asking if I could see the classes Wierwille took when it was called Mission House(yes Plymouth Wisconsin is a suburb of Sheyboygan and is 19 miles south of Nashota House Seminary and Monastery/Episcopalian). Also did the same with Princeton Seminary. If and when I get an answer to my requests, I will let everyone here know.
  14. I really didn't think I would be correct. I am kinda busy rigth now, so I will pass but will sometime in the future will post some.
  15. Is it your friend, Rocky the Flying Squirrel or did you say that?
  16. btw, VPW also did not attend University of Chicago. Both it and Moody Bible Institute think he may have visited the campuses on a 1 time visit, possibly sitting in on one or more classes, visiting their libraries and/or bookstores. I emailed Oxford, Cambridge, Harvard, and Yale about teaching profeesorships. All 4 rep;ied no. Gordon says he did a 1 day visit as preacher for chapel and did lecture, but was not a guest visiting lecturer for a semester as the Viscster claims. Ronald Enroth, John Juddes, and other authors that have examined Wierwille have opinioned he exaggerated his claims. Not sure about Mission House/Lakeland as it no longer exists. Would be interesting to check out his classes, college/university. seminary level. And yes Belle is correct about 2 Princetons which originally had Presbyterian origins but eventually became secular institutions.
  17. I believe that was his Master's thesis from Princeton(btw, has anyone been able to read it?). Usually for correspondence courses a certificate shows that the person paid for said degree. And I checked out rumors of his being invited to Hardvrd, Yale, Columbia, Oxford, and Cambridge to teach and work on a doctorate in theology which all institutions deny.
  18. welcome to the Cafe. Can I get you a menu and drink?
  19. for Hosanna with subtitle lyrics, try youtube download from WimNL video. Also the bonus is from Waysider, not me.
  20. Has anyone taken the Billy Graham course "Christian Lfe and Witness"(originally developed by The Navigators and also used in Campus Crusaders For Christ), or has done the Servant Evangelism from Willow Creek?
  21. Waysider, thanks. Folks check out the above mentioned youTube videos. stupid computer still won't allow me to download it. sorry about that, still enjoy by clicking them on.
