Shell, I am so sorry that the person sending you that "hate speech" letter only opened up old wounds. when I first read it, I just wanted to beat him, almost killing him. But then I realized that 2 wrongs do not make it right. If he, Martindale, Geer had said that to me in person, they would have died by my hands. But anger does not heal people but ends up killing you with ulcers and other problems. Wonder he they would like that attitude if they were in your shoes? They are not God or Jesus Christ, and none of them were ever prophets/holy men/women of God. Just immature brats and bullies.

2 praise songs I like are Revelation Song by Jennie Lee Miller, recorded by Kari Jobe and Gateway. The other is Worthy is the Lamb by Darlene Zchesch/Hillsong. Both are appropriate for the next 2 Sundays for those using the Revised Common lectionary(2nd lesson for both Sundays are from the Book of Revelation and the Song of the Lamb). Both are found under my profile on Facebook and MySpace

Song of Love-Rebecca St. James and opening theme song from The Monkees. talk about diverse interests-CCM and rock/soul/pop music from the 50', 60's, and the 70's. Also pipe organ and sacred choral music, orchestral, Sousa, Spike Jones, Victor Borge, and Peter Scheckly aka PDQ Bach. no wonder I am such a nit case. eh, the squirel isn't around, is he?

Was Weirwille comparable to David?
Thomas Loy Bumgarner replied to leafytwiglet's topic in About The Way
Wierwille's view was more in line with King Louis the 16th, or at least as Mel Brooks said in History of the World, Part 1(It's good to be the king, eh the Man of God) -

surprised that VPW didn't start dancing naked in public after one of his affairs -
actually prefer Andy Williams version, though I heard Mancini play it on the piano without lyrics

I know of Kari Jobe's arrangement of Jenny Lee Riddle's "Revelation Song".

Geisha, love Hillsong. Our Contemporary Praise Ensemble is learning this and From The Inside Out. Presently listening to Ron Kenoly's Jesus is Alive.

Witnessing and Undershepherding
Thomas Loy Bumgarner replied to Thomas Loy Bumgarner's topic in About The Way
I would never pressure anyone to accept Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord. I hate bullies who do that, especially some street preachers who get nasty and almost physically assault you. Intimidation never works and the purpose backfires. -
Witnessing and Undershepherding
Thomas Loy Bumgarner replied to Thomas Loy Bumgarner's topic in About The Way
I take it that the answer to my question is no. What a difference if TWI, CFFM, and S&TF had done this. My church as done both programs and trying to do this right after Easter Sunday for the next few weeks during remainder of April and May with actual genuine Christian Love. If no one else cares to respond, this will end this thread. -
Geisha, video cut short
