Leah Remini/ Scientology and similarity to TWI

merge Wierwille(not public version), Martindale, and Geer, suddenly you have Jim Jones, David Koresh, Dave Miscavege, each individually a bully, tyrant, and dictator -

Also to all newcomers I was involved with TWI at twig and branch level, and attended ROA 75- 79. -
Leah Remini/ Scientology and similarity to TWI

The other book TWI did in 70's was Harry Wierwille's book. BTW, I have all 3 books plus Karl and Kristen's books. I plan to buy Charlene's book at Barnes and Nobles local store here in Hickory. -

The 2 books on TWI in addition to Penworks Undertow are Karl Kahler's The Cult that Snapped, and Kristen Skedge's Losing The Way. -
Recently Leah has been doing a series on Scientology on TV. Wow, wish a similar documentary how been done on The Way International. So much similar. Reminds me of Jim Jones, and David Koresh. I have read 2 books talking about TWI and need to buy Undertow. I still want to know the truth about Wierwille's education course wise and I don't care if that embarases the institutions or not. Where is 60 Minutes, Frontline, Dateline, 20/20, etc.? It is on A&E cable channel.

Will Mr. Linder write a tell-all book ?

Actually it will be subtitled Legends and Lies, but don't tell Bill O'Reilly -

Yeah, The Way Living in Love, Part Deux. Wonder if he still reads posts here and what will JYL do with him? -
Getting Daughter/Son Out of the Way
Thomas Loy Bumgarner replied to Brainstormer's topic in About The Way
Geshem, do you live in the USA, or elsewhere? If near New Knoxville, Ohio, you will quickly learn the truth. If you are living in Africa or the Middle East, or Asia, then you are not really familiar with TWI. In addition to Penworks book, there has been at least 2 other written by former members of The Way International. I would suggest that you and Brainstormer read them. -
yeah, right Donald saying I am going to make The Way International great again and I am building a wall to cut off Wierwille Road from Ohio State highway 29 to keep the authorities off the property. Geshem, it was Jesus Christ who healed you, not The Way. Those sharp leaders who are millenials you talked about, will quickly kicked out. If God is calling you to full time ordained ministry, please seriously, consider leaving TWI and go to a mainline denominational theological seminary. In the long road, you will be much happier and keep your sanity.

Maybe it should read VPW and Loy boy in Toyland

Twi's spiritual legitimacy is waning
Thomas Loy Bumgarner replied to skyrider's topic in About The Way
Star of the Show was by Pressed Down, Shaken Together, and Running Over(old school Way Productions). New theme should be Welcome to the hotel Wierwille, such a crappy place(apologies to The Eagles). -

Is Mister Linder the new Prez of TWI, or is it Donald or Hillary?

I'm just going to leave this right here...

Westboro probably was picketing ROA because of Wierd Willies Magnus Opum Jesus Christ is not God -
What I want to know is what exact classes did VPW take at Lakeland and Princeton

Facebook public groups relating to The Way
Thomas Loy Bumgarner replied to Thomas Loy Bumgarner's topic in About The Way
Not really. Closed minds, sad. -
Recently Facebook started 2 groups about PFAL, one general and the other about grads reunion. I tried to speak to the administrators but both rejected my requests after reading some of my posts about Way Productions video from 4 years ago and my belonging to denominational church music groups and Organic Church movements and leaders such as Frank Viola, George Barna, Leonard Sweet,, Jon Zens, Milt Rodrieguiez, Neil Cole, etc.
-
So, whatever happened with Luke Sommerville? I know his father supports John Hagee.
-
I wish that New Knoxville School, his college, and Princeton would publickly release their grade transcripts relating to Wierwille instead of Freedom of Information act filed or a state or Federal court subpena I also suspect VPW lifted material from Tozer, Albert Benjamin Simpson, Ruben Archer Torrey, Theodore Austin Sparks, and Watchman Nee.
-
I wonder if Wierwille was familiar with Theodore Austin Sparks or Watchman Nee, as in The Mystery. Also VPW used Kenyon's books, and Albert Cliffe, Lamsa(Erico?), Pillai. Victor never had an original thought.
-
A recent cult called The Gathering and run by Wayne Jolliet of Franklin, TN sounds eerily similar to Jim Jones, David Koresh, and VPW. Contemporary Church Musician Ed Cash is a member of this group. He is a contributor to Chris Tomlin music wise. Scary.
-
I had not heard that. When did he die?
-
Wierwille seems to have misunderstood Jesus as the vine and we are the branches. VPW tree seemed to be an oak/decidious with leaves dropping. Not even a conifer(spruce/pine/cedar, etc)

Does it BOTHER you that your neighbor beilieves in a Trinity?
Thomas Loy Bumgarner replied to Ham's topic in About The Way
as to OP, I have returned to Trinitarian Christianity since 1980. If TWI, JW, UU, etc, reject the Trinity but are polite to me and don't start arguing and screaming at me, then great. If not, I ignore their infantile behavior.
