"By the way, we built that game room you played in as our gift (Family V) to the campus or to the way or somebody." The Family Corps-ner

I tried to speak to Grand Poobahs at HQ about a few leaders and was soundly reproved for going over my leader's head. They said I should confront the leader in question, IF what I say was true, which they thought it wasn't BECAUSE I didn't confront the leader in question. How convoluted is that? Like I'm supposed to say to my area leader (probably the same guy from th NE Hope) "Hey you need to stop sleeping with the girl from my teen twig". That would have gone over really big. These leaders and poobahs protected each other like the Vatican protected child molesters. I was OUT soon after this icident because I started to see that everyone was totally full of crap and weren't living what they preached.

"I could be wrong, I'm not God and certainly don't know everything that went thru his mind; but I prefer to think good thoughts about VPW in this category until I have definitive proof otherwise." Same here only the opposite. I prefer, in fact have no choice but to think bad thoughts about Vic until I have definitive proof otherwise. ANd that would require erasing my memory of horrible personal experiences. "I believe that he believed it at the very first." Oh I believe he believed alot of his teachings. But I also believe he lied to back up his claims and make his ministry grow. Grifter.

I was going to mention the hookshot and also the fact that Vic claimed Ray Croc stole the idea for McDonalds from him. If I sell you a product that I claim cures headaches and arthritis, and I give you made up testimonials as proof, and the product really only reduces headaches and does nothing for arthritis, I am a grifter. That's what Vic was. An ounce of truth in a pound of crap. And he knew dam well he was doing it. He was alot of things but stupid wasn't one of them. "What is it that he taught that he didn't believe?" God will meet your needs and sex falls under the category of need. The minister must minister to your needs. When it comes to unbelievers, give em the 4 F's. Find em,feel em, f em, forget em. tithing.

Oh, my mistake. I was transcribing on the fly. That makes much more sense , in the 5 senses realm. I must not have aquired an in depth spiritual perception and awareness ;)-->

"We don't really belive a promise was made" What a%%holes.

I was on that origional childrens choir album. "We're standing on the W-O-R-D Clap your hands, Cuz we're a family. The word is the will of G-O-D, Hand in hand on his word we will stand!" You know that Father Abraham song is about Abe Lincolns mentally challenged kids? "They didn't laugh NO! The didn't cry NO! This is what they did with their right hand" It was making fun of those kids! oops.

I clicked that link and couldn't find Lou. Where's Bill Vuto? Which one married Mandy Christe's mom? It's all so hazy.

Tune in next time when The Teacher tells Rhoda "God told me who to pick to replace me..."

I always did find it funny that the Abundant Sharing teaching was about tithing and was backed up with Old Testament teachings. As far as I remember I was never shown the 10% rule in the New Testament. I asked about this a few times and was basicly told not to question leadership. My logic wasn't welcome very often.

"Any group that can produce a song about the blood of the wicked doesn't mind being offensive." Not to mention how Un P.C. Tome Burke's album was. That record might be considered a hate crime in some blue states. BTW if anyone has any old Way records on vinyl, I will buy them from you!

"How many other instances do we know about where leadership counseled people in error like this?" Here's some BAD council: I was out WOW when my grandfather was killed in a hold up at his dry cleaning store. TWI told me that it (his death) was a "trick" to get me to leave the WOW field. This "leaving" of the WOW program would have consisted of 24 hours tops. His death left me with a "significant" inheritance. This money was ruled a "distraction" from my WOW "commitment". I was 10 years old. It was TWI's "advice" to sign this money "away" to TWI. Since that was "what I would do with it anyway". My mother signed it away. It paid for our corps "training". Lucky me. Woops , there's no such thing as luck. This is not the only money TWI stole from me. But at least I know how to line up chairs with a string, lead a sing a long and am guaranteed to go to heaven. Whew~

I was a wow with Trent before he was in the corps. He wrote really funny songs and was a very cool guy. I have a very specific reason for asking for him at this time. It involves my 1981 Scwhinn Scrambler BMX. I'd love to talk to him. Also Cliff Meador or any other wow's from Mass between 80-82.

How did this topic end up here?

I love the choreography on "How Many Do you know". Looks like it took minutes to learn!

"Revelation changes and with new leadership there will be changes. It's the new dynamic church and it will continue to change to meet the needs of the people." People? What people? The "new Dynamic Church" (which is going to be the name of my new band haha) has a few thousand members in a country with millions of Christians? That's neither new nor dynamic. It's actually quite pathetic. If this were the new new new dynamic church, that started last week, it would be pretty good. But after 60 years it's laughable.

Ex-Cult Minister Turned Nude Photographer?
Georgio Jessio replied to Nottawayfer's topic in About The Way
He was a very nice man, but apparently George Bush killed him. That's what I've been reading... Anyway, I rarely stick up for former twi leaders, but taking each cas on an indivudual basis I'd rather have Paul M. as a pal than most of the others. I also belive that people CAN change and that Paul was not (from my experiences) pure evil like Rosie, Loy and Vic. Hey that might be the name of my first ever folk trio : Rosie, Loy and Vic = Blowin In The Broken Wind. -

Ex-Cult Minister Turned Nude Photographer?

He was only full time staff for a short time, and had alot of experience before going in residence. In hip hop ya'll might be known as Player Haters. -

I have been in touch with Paul and he's doing well. I've known him for decades and his family, he's truly a great guy. I don't know how he was after I left TWI, but he's very mellow now. -
How big of a splash did you make when you left twi?
Georgio Jessio replied to GrouchoMarxJr's topic in About The Way
I was in Mass. in 87 when a whole bunch of us left. When we did a lot of my jr. corps friends were told that my mother and I were posessed. I got letters telling me that I would no longer have these friends. We were just kids and I am cool with alot of these people now. The only thing worse than being brain washed is being a brain washed teen ager. -
I would normally say that this type of topic is gossip and none of our business but THEY are the ones who made homosexuallity the ultimate sin, so it's relevent. For what it's worth, which is nothing, as a teen I always thought Donna was a little on the butch side. Then when Loy hit on my mom my first thought was "he must need it on the side because his wife is a lez" I think I was almost right.

How did You Benefit from the TWI Experience?
Georgio Jessio replied to sky4it's topic in About The Way
I have an uncanny eye for detail and a work ethic that alot of people just don't seem to have. People hire me to orginize concerts and all kinds of events because of my reputaion for thinking everything thru. It still irritates me when people do 1 1/2 *** job or forget details. And I still live on "corps time". If you tell me to be there at 6 I'm there at 6:50 at the latest. As a result I spend alot of time waiting for the rest of the world, which is chronicly late. It drives me nuts. -
How were your eyes of understanding enlightened?
Georgio Jessio replied to Belle's topic in About The Way
"If VPW was so incompetent, why have thousands learned and retained for years a large portion of the teachings? Even today, there's a sizable portion of folks who retain Wierwille's teachings." It's called brain washing. I didn't retain PFAL the first time. In fact, the first time was rather confusing and seemed to contradict itself. But afetr sitting thru it a thousdand times I had it memorized. Then in residence we would listen to teaching tapes at HIGH SPEED so we could get a 3 hour lecture in in an hour. Then we'd do it again. When we went out WOW we had to listen to the same tape every day. These teachings weren't so riveting that I had them down. I had them down because I heard them over and over and over. Having said that I think VP was more a slick talker than an effective teacher. And LCM was niether.
