Fire ants?? EEEEEK! I did hear there are bugs that you can saddle and ride, but fire ants??? Ya mean iff'n my boys and I try to build a little fort in the woods we might meet some-o them? waaahhhhh! Where's the market? When I wasn't aware I was gonna be an Atlantaneeskan (izzat what I'll be? LOL!), it was just somewhere-down-South, in someplace I probably would never see! Now, I guess I oughta find out where!

Dove, okay, okay, I like that one, now sit still so's I can pin yer feathers to the tree branch!! haha hoohoohooo! :P--> :D-->
-

Oh, Chas! what a cutie! I wanna pinch his cheeks!! (heeheehee! I'm really not a "blue-hair!LOL!) Congrats to you and Mathman!!!!

Long Gone and Dmiller, that ole pigeon doesn't skeeer me! NYAHH!!! I'll blast him with a blue and yeller paint gun!! hahaha!! And David, I betcha Maryland can beat Minnesota fer taxes! One of the "non-official" sayings of MD is; "Welcome to Maryland, if you can dream it, we can tax it" Dove, siiiiiiigh, yeah, I like ya-- just alight in onea my trees and SEE how much I like ya!! muhahahahaha!!!! I DO like the new piggy hat, but I agree with Vickles-- he looks a bit like my dog Moses, who's a little confused and tries to hump our male cat. And when Gus will have none of it, Moses stands near Gus and does "air guitar", kinda like that hillbilly pig there! hahahahaaaa! :D--> Thanks Shell, I'll still try to get back to MI and one a these times, it would be fun to hook up! Rascal, that's right! My kidlins would prolly have a blast with your tribe!!! Daddyhoundog, thanks!-- okay, okay, I'm going, I'm going!!! LOL!!!!

Vickles, I'm sure I'll fit in down south better than in Maryland! my hubby's family calls me a "hayseed". Krys-- not only a boiled egg, but some Gerogia red clay, too!! heeheehee! Johnny, I'm glad to be leaving also--I never did really fit in with the east coast "culture". It IS exciting to be moving again-- we'd been in this house for 7 years-- longest either of us has ever stayed in one place-- we were getting "itchy feet"!! People around here don't believe me when they say they don't envy me the packing and moving and I say I am excited about it. (Another faux pas for the Psalmie aaarrggghhh!) I didn’t know “Georgia on my mind” was the state song! Kewl! There are a LOT of songs with Georgia in ‘em. The Devil went down to Georgia; The Night the Lights went out in Georgia, Rainy night in Georgia. (We sing em to the boys and they roll their eyes!! LOL!) Thanks, Zshot! It's a long-anticipated move (just didn't know where! LOL)

I'm taking my thousandth post to say this! woohoooo! The Psalm family is moving SOUTH!!!! We just bought a house in GA-- near Atlanta. We'll be moving there the end of March--I'm packing feverishly!!! Remind me I WANTED to do this move when I come in complaining of the heat this summer, huh? LOL! I'd love to tell all the cool things that God has done in getting all this to come to pass. (Like us finding a home down there in less than a week, us selling this townhome in one day, the dog getting lost and found again, getting our moving boxes free, selling furniture at the right time---too many to mention---too many for our family to even question God's hand in the whole thing!) But I would be typing forever and I still type too slowly!! I'm gonna miss Maryland, It's a pretty state, but I WON'T miss their taxing and charging for anything ya blink at! (they're gonna get one last stab at our money 'fore we leave-- my license expires the first of March this year, but we're not leaving till the end of March-- gotta have a license ya know!! grrr!) My family in Michigan was sad to hear it, though--they were hoping we'd be moving CLOSER, not farther away! :(--> That woulda been nice, but it didn't work out that way. My boys are extremely excited-- can ya blame em? They are moving out of a yard that was 20'X30' and moving to a yard that is 1/2 acre--partly wooded, with more woods behind us! They're gonna get their own rooms, the house is more than twice the size of where we've been living and includes a garage (And a REAL driveway!! heehee!) And we'll be paying $5 more a month than we've been paying here! woohoooo!
-
Ya know, I said "OOOGIDDAH BOOGIDDAH!!!" to that ole dawg and he ran away yelping!! Pretty funny, Bird--where'd ya get the stand-in? :P-->
-
okay, TURKEY!, now yer gonna git it!!, I hadta gargle fingernail polish remover to get rid of that superglue-- NOW YER GONNA PAY!!!!! (psalmie dumps a buncha superglue on the dove's perch and watches as he alights and sticks fast, flapping his wings wildly, unable to fly. . . )
-
(((((ZSHOT!!!!!))))) moooffdooteeyuudoo!!!! (translation: "nice to see you too", I'm havin a little trouble talking since I had that peanut butter sammich fer lunch!) At least there are still SOME nice folks here-- unlike that steenkin turkey-- er--Dove!
-
Nice?? NICE??? Now waitaminute! You didn't say anything about being NICE! I REFUSE to be nice! Take THAT! (Psalmie throws mud pies at dmiller, and drizzles syrup on the Dove's wings!) SO THERE!

Tow Strange, I agree with your point that we see it differently. When I said "all sorts of support", I was thinking of the posts made that agreed with Refiner's rejection of Christ. I didn't count the ratio of responses that agreed with him versus the ones that didn't. Mainly I was remembering the ones that agreed with him, because they were offensive to me. I know it boils down to a matter of opinion. (I call my opinion my faith, but the person who rejects Christ would call it my fairy tale, and we can go round and round and things can get nasty!!!! I know it is "just my opinion", but it seemed to me there was more support extended towards Refiner, the newcomer, to stick around, than Dot, the long-time poster who said she felt she had to go. Tom, you said By lambasted I meant the stuff Refiner posted about her on the other board, and that he says she attacked him first. I don't call her post about why she felt she had to leave as an attack on Refiner. Maybe "Lambasted" wasn't the best choice of word. If you or Mr Pmosh reply to me, I probably won't see it. I am going to be gone for almost three weeks. (going to see my family in MI), and by then, I s'pose this thread will be three pages back! LOL!

P-Mosh Thanks for your comments. Sorry it took me so long to get back to them. you said I agree with you. I Think "standard Churches" are businesses. (My opinion about all this is lengthy, I type about 12 wpm, and it is late and I am tired!! I have meant to start a thread about this, and will when I get back from my vacation. For now, I will say only a fraction of what I think about standard "fundamentalist churches) Churches run their business similar to any other business; Satisfied "customers" will come back and lay out more money to fund the business. I don't believe all people in churches are bad, nor are all pastors, but I have a problem with how they run things. I also think shoving religion in peoples faces and telling them they better accept "This brand's" offering or they are going to hell is wrong. Jesus says in the gospels that The Father draws people to him. It's not people's job to do that. I can only look out for my own walk with my Saviour. that's hard enough! I realize many people didn't think the title of Refiner's thread was offensive. And many did . Am I making a right assumption that the ones who were not offended were the ones who don't choose to follow Jesus, and the ones who were, do follow Jesus? It boils down to each person's opinion, and that's where things get sticky. Each one thinks their own opinion is the right one. And we can get pretty nasty defending them sometimes. I know you addressed more of what I said, Pmosh, and I'm sorry if I seem ignorant for not responding to everything you typed. I don't know if I made my point well enough, But I think this whole controversy a tough one. I'm not sure it's solvable, we all hold our own beliefs so strongly.

Searcher, I JUST posted a "things are changing-and-I-don't-like-it" post. It wasn't about you at all. IMO, it has been happening for awhile, and while I feel the one thread started by Refiner was, for me "The last straw", I wasn't referrring to you. I've only seen a few of your posts and they didn't seem offensive. This "Change" really isn't about the influx of new posters. It's (To me at least) about the content of threads, regardless of the poster, that for some of us, are getting more offensive than they used to be.

P-Mosh, Your suggestions about "What should be done" were very good suggestions IMO. I'm going to go out on a limb here. While I answered this poll with a "maybe", I lean towards Zixar's opinion that this site has "gone downhill" or whatever. (And I have not emailed Zixar!) I have always been fully aware that this site is not a christain site. Paw has always made that very clear. I had no problem with that. I have read posts that Atheists or Agonostics have made, and occasionlly been offended by them. Some of these posts have been so well stated that the offense I have taken has been more of an "ouch" type of offense, I see their point and know it's true, but don't know any solution to it. (eg. wars started in the name of "God"). There are some posters who seem to be able to state their opinions in a less offensive way than others. (I can think of some examples of posts Garth and P-Mosh have made that are such). But something has been changing for quite awhile, and I can't quite put my finger on it. (By awhile I mean more than a year). More and more "anti Christ" posts have been made, and with more of an edge. More ridicule, more derogatory. I will say it again. I am fully aware that this site is not a christain site. Paw has always made that very clear. Something is different. And not for the better. When a relatively new poster comes in and titles a thread with what to me was a VERY offensive title, and gets all sorts of support and backslaps, and then a poster who's been here for years states publically that she is offended by that, and is choosing to leave, and She's the one who (I know--IMO) is the one who gets lambasted--I say hmmmm. Something has changed-- and not for the better. When a poster who has been here for years, who has been fairly straightforward about his anti-chistian viewpoint, but has--at least in the posts I have read by him--been less offensive, but now recently posts that the Bible is Bull sht, I say something has changed--and not for the better. I realize this is my opinion. Several of you have posted about these very things I have mentioned, that it didn't offend you. So for you, everything's fine--and maybe even "nothing is different"? For me, I am not liking it here as much as I used to. I am glad Raf has set up a site that is a Christain site. it is what I am going to choose to frequent more often. I can't say I am leaving here for good at this point. I have a "cooling off" period coming up, in that I am going to visit my family in Michigan for a little over two weeks and will not be peeking in here. I ahve had fun here, but maybe it's time for me to move on.

Zixar, I clicked "maybe" because I think it's relative. It's more a matter if things have crossed a line for you. What one person tolerates and even cheers, another dislikes. For me, It has been coming to that line and I am edging toward the door, I think I'll take my pies and throw em elsewhere. I've whistled to the army of the Pig-force, too. . .

Because I accept and love Jesus as the Christ
Psalm 71 one replied to Dot Matrix's topic in Doctrinal: Exploring the Bible
Dot I don't know if you will see this, I'm going to try a private topic to you, also. I know exactly what you mean by feeling like you were a traitor to your Savior. Me too. Some time ago I think it was Imbus, who posted in the About the Way Forum, "Who is Christ to you", and then she posted her belief about Him--in other words, her rejection of Him. I started to post then didn't, giving myself all sorts of reasons. . .(I'm not here often enough, etc) . But I've always felt badly since then that I didn't post my own heart-felt belief That Jesus is MY SAVIOR. That He paid my penalty. Then I saw Refiner's Thread with that blatant title. I hesitated to read it, but then I finally did when it was only three pages long, and was sickened. I shook my head at the people who Do believe in God and Jesus, that took Refiner's bait and even attempted to answer. No one will ever be able to expalin God to people who don't believe in Him. Because I agreed with them (the believers), I personally thought their points were excellent, but wasted. The very Bible they reject SAYS it is all foolishness to them. I cannot judge them (Atheist/Agnostic)for their belief--God does the calling, each individual accepts or rejects, And God will judge each individual--not my job. And throwing a life preserver to anyone who is a strong swimmer by their own power, is a waste of time. I didn't feel I needed to post to that thread, but I did feel I ought to post my belief in Christ, maybe start a new thread--so as to show readers who come to GS that not all posters here reject Christ. And I didn't do that. And it has bothered me since I read that partial thread. I totally understand your wanting to leave, Dot. I think about that myself, and skip several days in a row, but haven't been ready to leave completely. I have made many good friends here, and have definately had healing take place, it has certainly served a purpose. I would like to stay in touch with you-- I've loved your posts. I have an email I place in my profile, can ya add it to your list? -
OOOOPPPPSSS! so sorry, so sorry, Dove! Don't get that in Ana's cheesecake, now! LOL!!!
