Tom Cruise is in a cult. We were in a cult (some of us, maybe, still are.) I agree with TheHighWay. During my over twenty years of cult participation I heard and saw very similar if not almost exact behavior. I heard staunch defense of the Holocaust myth, while discounting any conflicting evidence to the contrary. We had studied the Holocaust (Myth of the Six Million, the Thirteenth Tribe), hell, we were self appointed experts. I heard harsh criticism of the Catholic Church by people who had “studied” Babylon Mystery Religion. They new the truth of Catholism cause they had studied the history of Catholism. Catholism is a pseudo…oops, I mean a pagan religion. Anyone know someone who got pregnant while on that sure-fire birth control, called the mucus method. And even after they got pregnant they wouldn’t admit that the method was faulty. It was either their believing or they were not disciplined enough in its application. Folks, it’s called cult mentality. LooKout

Catcup, Thanks for publishing some of the content of that tape. Boy, that is TWI at its purest! Intimidate the followers by accusing them of being intimidated. I took PFAL for the 1st time in 1976, I don't remember that particular tape, but I do remember feeling so much guilt whenever I had doubts about the ministry or could not feel confident when asked challenging questions by parents and others. LindaZ and TommyZ (yews guys related?) Welcome to the "LOST" thread. Good questions LindaZ. In response to your Kate question, I think she probably masterminded the bank caper. She didn't want anyone to get hurt, nor did she want the money. She wanted what was in the safe deposite box. The money was just to get the guy (boyfriend?) to help her pull off the job. IMHO Besides the tropical heat, I'm wondering what the heck are those polar bears eating to survive. PR's are carnivores (fish and seal mostly); so, why aren't they incountering them on beach, instead of the island's interior? Also the bear didn't appear until after we saw the kid reading a comic-book with a polar bear in it. After the episode with the kid's backstory, it makes you wonder. Is next week's episode new or used? Later, LooKout

I agree that the birth and surgery/death of Boone offered no real surprises, but I believe that these two events will prove to be key in moving the plot forward. I believe that the two events happening at almost the same time is not coincidental. It appears we will have to tolerate more reruns before the final cliffhanging episode. I wish they would either make more episodes next season or do like they're doing with "Alias" and make the season 22 weeks long with no breaks. Til' the finale..... LooKout

Yes, I too am looking for a payoff for all my obsession with a few answers to these riddles. Damn, that last episode better give at least a few answers before it leaves us in a cliffhanger! I can't get enough of this show. So many questions so few episodes. Is the unseen monster biological or mechanical? Why can Locke walk? What is with the kid? What do those damn numbers mean? New episode tonight. I can hardly wait. LooKout

I'm a big fan!! What did you think of the finally? To me it appeared as if the original plan was to close out the series (it wasn't doing well in ratings), but then it got a reprieve, so they had to redo the ending to leave it open for another season. LooKout
