What I don't get is why several posters are giving this guy any space inside their heads. If you were to see a street-corner preacher dressed in rags with an unkempt beard and unwashed hair screaming at the top of his lungs about how the world is going to hell and you should look to the example of Pete Rose, would you stand there and argue with him, or would you pay him no heed whatsoever? Heck, while you're at it, why don't you take a drive to the local insane asylum and argue with all of the inmates? You'll get just as far.

Oh, yeah, I've been able to do ALL of those cultural things - I only work from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. and beyond, so that leaves PLENTY of time for . . . PLENTY of time for . . .well, I guess I haven't gone to any games or shows or museums or anything.

ckeer - Has anyone questioned any of your motivations? Wonder1 has questions. Wonder1 has reasons for those questions. Those reasons are pretty much none of your business, no offence intended. Unless, of course, wonder1 chooses to make his/her reasons public knowledge. I can think of a few different scenarios that would fit wonder1's questions - I'm sure you probably could too. Give wonder1 the benefit of the doubt, it's easier that way. And besides, so what if he/she has underhanded reasons? What advantage could anyone hope to gain by getting answers from this internet site? In other words, what could it possibly matter if those reasons are less than 100% above board?

And your original post would seem to indicate that Portland is on the coast, when in fact it is a good hour's drive from the coast. I know, because I lived in Oregon for 5 years. I was WOW out there the same year OnionEater was.
