One more thing to keep in mind is that bedbugs are becoming a major nuisance in hotels in the U.S. So far they mostly affect the East Coast, but they are spreading. And I hear that they are getting REALLY bad over in Europe!

Gack, I was contract programming for 10 months, on the road for 5 of them, and I hated being on the road WITH A PASSION! More power to ya! Of course, you have your wife and dog with you - that wasn't an option for me. The only thing that takes care of insect bites is time, really. Ya just gotta wait it out. Like Reverend Mother Excie said, topical antihistamines help - but don't cure. For real bad pain, crush an aspirin and mix it with a bit of water to make a paste, and spread it on the bites.

Okay, I emailed Zach's teacher, and this is what she had to say: Out of the U.S. he has traveled to Australia, Canary Islands, Amsterdam, and London and many other U.S. cities. The kids just love getting postcards from him and our board is filling up.

I never said to delete rundll or rundll323. I said that you should try stopping rundll - use the "end task" button - if you have no programs running. Of course, that rundll might be running your virusscan or something. But rundll is also used to run spyware and trojan horses. So no, don't delete it - try stopping it and see what happens. And try a few shutdowns/startups.

No updates yet! I'll ask Zach tonight where else Flat Stanley has been spotted, and I'll post an update tomorrow.

It might be called "Wintools" or something like that under add/remove programs. PPClean is "Pest Patrol". From what I can gather, I think it's friendly. If you've got nothing else running on your computer, DEFINITELY stop rundll.

What? not me! I'm married, thankyouverymuch!

Ack, that's nauseating!
-
WB, you really don't want to know. You're too young.

Okay, wtoolsa and wsup are spyware. They may be the cause of your problem. I'm not sure about Tbps, Pccguide, pcclient, or pcciomon. To get rid of wtoolsa and wsup, you have to start up in secure mode - after you shut down, start back up, but keep hitting the F8 key until you get a screen that has 3 or 4 things listed, one of which will be "Start Windows in secure mode". Then you have to find wtoolsa.exe and wtoolsb.dll and delete them. You can find them by clicking on the Start key, then "find", and start the search at c:. Then you have to go into "settings", "contol panel" and uninstall wtoolsa and anything else that doesn't look right. Then restart. Once you're all the way up and running, get the list again. wtoolsa and wsup should be gone. You probably won't see rundll either. Let me know how it goes!

WW, I'll certainly sleep better tonight!

We occasionally have that problem. It used to be worse. What I ended up doing was going into the Task Viewer - you hit control-alt-delete and click on task list. I would then click on processes I didn't recognize and click "end task". After a few of those were stopped, I would then be able to shut down the machine.

There are lots of state parks not too far from Chicago! April is nice weather for camping in the Chicago area! Chicago is fairly central! And April will mark my and Cindy!'s first wedding anniversary. And spring break happens in April.

WB, it's not a matter of whether or not you NEED them, it's whether or not you WANT them. Desktop themes are the wallpapers, backgrounds, color schemes and sounds for your computer. For example, one sound scheme is "Robotica", and the sounds that correspond to computer events will sound robotic. Events are things like opening a window, closing a window, clicking on buttons, things like that. Most people never even know that those are available. If you want to make your puter more "fun", you might try loading them. They won't hurt your PC's performance, so no worries there.

Well, at least when you date yourself, you're with someone you love, and there is no guesswork as to what's going to happen that night . . . The only location I went to for a rocka was the way nash. Most of the times I went, I was in an RV, so except for the two years I was in a tent, the showers were not a problem for me. However, the last year I went, I forgot to pack a spare pair of shoes, and the shoes I did have were comfortable but not very new. I took them off while in the RV, and while I was napping, one of the people sharing the RV saw the shoes and thought that they were supposed to go in the trash. So I missed a whole afternoon of the rocka that day, until he went and found the shoes again.

Well, Pat DID get some courtroom and other legal experience out of this.
-
Ack, that looks WAY too smooth! It should give the impression of him being made out of rock. I think they could've done much better. And I would STILL like to know the nickname for the movie.
-
Holy shmackerel, that's a shame! Are at least your editorials archived somewhere?
-
Now watch, om is going to use that as his signature quote du jour.

Keep in mind that anyone still in, in general, is among the TRULY hard core. I mean those that are still in and want to be, not those that are in and looking to leave. So almost 100% of adults in TWItLand will still be there in a couple of years, a few years, 5 years, 10 years - unless something radically changes.
-
It's more likely that "nearly 4000" is wayspeak for 2,100. And yes, it's gotta be mandatory, so I'm in agreement that it's the likely headcount for TWIt.
-
Pat was being sued. He could have ended up paying lotsa money. He ended up paying diddly squat. TWIt ended up paying $50,000 in costs. What will that get them? precious little. I'd say that Pat spanked. Way to go, PJ.

Oh please! You've certainly implied it often enough!
