Satori - No, nothing major - some aftershocks here and there, but that's about it. 2 tectonic plates were pushing against each other, a lot of pressure built up, something went "snap", and the pressure released - at magnitude 9.0. Now that the pressure is significantly reduced, there should be much less chance of a major quake in that region for some time.

Satori, even if I *had* a Jack Frost, I wouldn't lend it to you!

Eagle - When I was working for Allstate Insurance, I went through a diversity seminar. It's not at all like you think. The main theme was the platinum rule - treat other people the way they would have you treat them. A subtheme was: you are free to think whatever the hell you want to think, but you need to keep many of your opinions to yourself. For example, if you are racially biased against African Americans, that needs to not come out in your conversations and dealings with any other employee. Sexual orientation was never mentioned once.

Definitely run Ad-Aware and Spybot Search & Destroy. You'll see a difference right away. And it wouldn't hurt to defrag your hard drive.

All Cindy! did was to find the site for the state of Minnesota and snoop around a bit. So all you need to do is find the site for the state of Iowa and snoop around a bit.

Well, Lingoman, when I lived in Po'land, OR, that town was said to have the second highest percentage of homosexuals to San Fran. And I moved there aboot the time you moved away from there. I didn't see too many lesbians when I was there. But a woman in our stick, er, twig, fellow.... was friends with a couple of gays, and had them over fairly often. They were very open about everything. Including the "Emerald City Ball", a gay party that happens annually in Po'land. One of them said, "A guy came up to me and said, 'Your boyfriend's chest is very hairy' and I said,'I know, I counted every one of them with my tongue last night'". These guys were pretty pushy with their sexuality.

By the way, vick, cool avatar!

Okay, vickie pickles, here's the lowdown: Cindy! went to the State of Minnesota, city of Minneapolis website, and found that you have to go to the second floor of some building or other. It's free, there's a computer there, go for it. Go to www.whateveryourcountynameis.com, and that site will tell you where to go.

Radar - have you thought about Ebay? ;)--> I think that you should bequeath them to children of a good friend, so that they will be cherished.

I'll let her know what you're looking for, but don't expect an answer until probably tomorrow.

Where the marriage license was issued matters not a whit. State(s) of residence at dissolution is what counts.

In sweet afterglow, fully clothed, in their version of a right mind. But you *know* what "after" looks like, having 10 wives.
-
GG - that is SUCH oversimplification.

Happy HannuChristmaKwanzaaDon, everyone!

Well, it's available in Flahrida. I dunno aboot Minnesota, eh? Cindy! has looked up various records and court cases in Flahrida, mebbe if you're nice she'll tell you what site she found for that state, and that might give you a clue for Minnesota.

Revrun Johnny - Yep, there are posters here with firsthand knowledge, but some of them don't post that knowledge directly because of personal reasons. One that has communicated with me saw Rozilla and Donilla just "after". You can't get much clearer than that.

There was a thread about that, Lingoman. There was a picture of his poster at B*lly's and everything. I think it was Excathedra that actually called the club he works in and they said that he was out at that time. As far as anyone knows, he's still there.
-
Good point, def. Although I imagine that people that are recently out will care more than those that have been out longer, as will those that are still in. Also, those people who have had to divorce because of TWIt or those who've been marked and avoided because of a spouse will also care more than those that were more remote from the situation.

They call them ground squirrels because they don't live in trees, duh! What do you call a steer with no legs? Ground beef! Ha!

What a waste of time! Obviously these guys have issues . . .
-
gtbo - where the heck else are they going to go? They've seen enough of the bad stuff that if they were going to leave, they would have done so LOOOOOONG ago. Exie, I didn't mean to imply anything at all - it was just such a shock. I guess it shouldn't have been.

Awesome, Susie! That's definitely respectable! How much more do you have to do before you get a degree? (assuming that that's what you're after)
