And docvic(praise be his name) mentioned that very shortly after the filming of piffle, a new kind of light was invented that would have mitigated damage to his eyes. So the question is: did the damage to his eyes from the light help to hasten the ocular cancer? Or did it make no difference either way?

Remake Hudson Hawk!

On the whole this movie was a disappointment. As Raf once said about another movie, "A craptacular crapfest of crappy crap." The beginning stayed faithful to the book, but after that the two parted ways. That's not a problem in itself, but in this case the result was not good. The Arthur Dent character was more or less just like the character in the book, but the rest of the characters were not (except for the neurotic robot, Marvin, completely underplayed by Alan Rickman). Upshot: this movie is a HUGE waste of time!

In other words, keep it completely the same, but change everything. Another remake should be Howard the Duck. *That* would be a hoot! Or how about Blue Hawaii?

If Howie hadn't been good friends with docvic(praise be his name), he wouldn't have ended up in such a cushy job. He probably would have ended up working for some city government somewhere as a janitor.

They should remake The Long Trailer originally starring Desi Arnaz and Lucille Ball. Was *that* a POS or what? Of course, Hollyweird has a motto - what's worth doing, is worth doing again and again and again and again and . . .

Now that there's a remake of "Herbie the Love Bug" in the works, and "The Longest Yard" is soon to be in general release, I thought it would be fun to start poking fun at Hollywierd and predict what remakes are coming out next. How about a remake of "Plan 9 from Outer Space"? Or perhaps a remake of "The Towering Inferno"? A live-action version of "The Jetsons Movie"?
