Roy when you are sad it breaks my heart. The reason is because you seem to see sunshine on a cloudy day -- someone yells at you and you do not address their anger, instead you see them as lost and in need of love. when someone disagrees with you, you do not shove your ideas down their throat but acknowledge their right to think and appreciate what they share even if it is opposite of what you just expressed. You are kind Roy. You may not have a big car, big house or big job as you have let us know through the years... But you have a big heart. And with all the intellectual slings that go on here - I think I see the heart of Jesus more in you than any of the rest of us. I see you loving God with all your heart. I see you are a student of the Bible. And I see you loving your neighbor as yourself. Roy - you get it. Many of us talk about it -- but you get it. Love to you Roy!

Here is a report -- they did the SAME thing to me and you cannot GET your money back -- I just got off the phone with the bank and EVEN if I change my debit card they can still get my money. I have to close my checking account -- which means all checks etc. I just bought are wasted. So, even if you are right. Do you get why? Why did the angel come to him, if the angel came to talk to him why was he leaving. And Jacob wrestled him -- literally? I dunno. Roy you may want to start a different thread for that, I do not know your answer but I do want to get back to Jacob. I have read commentary on this and some beleive it was not an actual happening. Some, trinity people, believe it was Christ. I do not I believe LIKE man Jesus had a begining - he was born. Even if the angel came as an actual MAN why all the big bruhaha over this? Why send a man/angel to NOT bless him and then knock his hip out? I just wonder if his limp was he was "out of joint" with his family and it lasted his life time.

This has always bothered me. Genesis 32:23-34 Why would Jacob wrestle an angel? Why would an angel wrestle him? How many people SEE and angel and then have the opportunity and WHY on earth would the angel knock his hip out of joint while the man was wrestling for a BLESSING? When I read it I think it is symbolic and not literal. I think he went to sleep after stealing Esau’s blessing, while Esau was on the way to kill him. The blessing represents what he did to his brother. He stole the blessing – it was in conflict. And the hip deal was that he was never fully right again. He felt creepy, his father died after hearing a lie and Jacob had to LEAVE home. His life was never right again. We sometimes work things out in DREAMS. I think that is what this was. Hi Cman Yes darkness was after the earth became without form and void. It had form and void THEN something happened and it lost it -- then darkness moved upon the face of the waters. And the FIRST thing God speaks is LET there be Light. Then he seperates the darkness and the light calling the light good. This is the begining of polar opposites -- and seperation not integration of those things which are of God and those who are not. Remember Time means nothing to God so we do not know how look paradise was the home of Adam and Eve. But I think in his foreknowledge God already started the ball rolling -- with the finale in mind he called "his" into the light. But lets go back to that slice of time when they were still in the garden... Adam and Eve were unaware there was anything such as evil - it seems. They did not need to "hide" to protect themselves they were intimate with God. All was well. THEN they eat of the tree of knowledge and that knowledge is described as GOOD and EVIL. Lord know what they saw... Can you imagine? Then came the hiding and the clothes...They lost their "right" living and "right" standing - righteousness with God. Imagine the guilt and sin conscienceness. Now defenseless they seek protection - covering from this new development - evil. It probably came like a violent storm on them... And never having been in a storm they sought protection, covering...they hid. Down the line the next Adam -- Jesus clothes us in righteousness -- he COVERS us with his blood. Anyway - that is how I see it.
