Can someone explain to me Forgiveness?
Dot Matrix replied to RottieGrrrl's topic in Doctrinal: Exploring the Bible
Reading the opening post- Do you think God does not forgive the devil because he has blackness in his heart (so to speal) He does not feel badly for what he has done, he has not changed his actions and he continues to hurt and cause pain. Years ago there was a group handing out papers saying something about the day God forgives the devil will be the end of time or something. I do not see where that ever happens. Rottie - I have missed you -
Notta Dogs are lactose intolerant. Milk is a no-no Yeah, I feel sorry for her dog too! WD Good thread

The mistake is we let them refer to these criminals as "kids" that minimizes things. A crazy gang kid with a gun is a dangerous criminal.

Cool chief I really would love to see that, but whomever does it will go to jail. It is better to move -- but where? Where do you go? If a sleepy little town like ours is hit, then anyone can be. We cannot afford to move right now. I am the only one working. Things are a mess. Watered Garden I mean most agree with that statement but how do you take the streets back? It is like war, someone will get hurt. Like the 4 or 5 big guys that walk the neighborhood -- doesn't that put them at risk? These kids are armed. We need the police to sit in our neighborhood. But if one of those guys shot a teen it would be all over the news some 44 year old man killed a 13 year-old little boy.

Thanks everyone. Rocky, when I wrote to the Govenor he wrote back "it sounds like a local problem." Who do I start with? The library is where these KIDS are hanging. And then walking over to our area (some live here) and causing problems. Do I go to the city counsel and tell them we need change? To whom do I address this? The schools, when they asked for the police to go in, the cop said it was up to the teachers and the principal. How nuts is that? They can't go in and have a lecture? In the 70's the teachers were afraid of the hoods and hippies and our only weapons wee rumble chains. We had school racial riots and the teacher were frightened just like us. They can not expect the teachers to be the parent, the teacher, the police and some kind of world changing guru without the parents doing anything. The one woman who kept blaming society, I think one of her kids might be a member of the gang, she kept saying society has to do more. And she was a recent move-in. I do have a license to carry and that is what someone else brought up, start packing heat ourselves because the police are only there to write reports after a crime has happened.

Sorry, I am not the greatest typist anyway, and I may have broken my finger -- or at least injured it. So, when I mess up, sorry. We talked about getting more police with the policeman. But even so, we need help now, not after some budget is passed in the future. But that is a good IDEA. I will write the Govenor's office and see how a county goes about getting more police. About 13 years ago we moved in. At that time people still left their doors unlocked. My co-worker in a county closer to the city was having horrible problems. I kept thinking I was so glad I was in the country.

Well, it looks like the Crips (Crips, Folk nation) are the gang that has moved into our neighborhood. The symbol that looked like an M13 apparently was something else a symbol or something. As the police said it was the Crips. After calling, and writing the Governor, the police, the gang task force, the right to a clean and beautiful group, etc. I found that many neighbors have done the same. We had a meeting with the police. The police said they cannot really do much as they patrol over 125 square miles with an under staffed group. We can become part of the cop/neighborhood program but there are no openings until July 2008. At that time, we will get a sign and a program we have to carry out anyway. The policeman suggested that maybe 4 or 5 big guys walk the neighborhood. But we have seen groups of 12 to 20 teens hanging on the corner. They all wore blue and white jackets so I first thought they were into sports. The police said they are mostly middle school but some are in high school. They said if you get them alone they will listen but in a gang they have power. (Duh, unless they have a gun) I asked if they had guns and he skirted his response. But a Detention officer, who lives in our neighborhood, said YES, they carry guns. HE has put 13 and 14 year olds into the center and had them come back repeatedly on weapons charges. Then, the officer said, “I do not want you to be afraid.” Too late. The group had a fight on one street and the police came. The fight then broke out at the other end of the street like a riot. The police came. The group waited for them to leave then the fight began again. It went on for HOURS. The NEW people in the neighborhood keep saying well kids need a place to go – Oh really? They built a library and community center at the enterance of the neighborhood. This just brings MORE teens around. The staff at the library was told to dial 911 the minute a group would start, but the employees are so afraid of these gun-wielding kids they do not make the call. They just quit their jobs. Our recreation center has been vandalized and when people tried to run them out, they did more damage to the area costing a lot of money. Others got up and said it is the parents responsibility. And the policeman said in Chicago, if a kid is out past curfew the parents can now be arrested. Some parents got up and asked the police to go into the schools. The policeman said it was up to the teachers and principals to do something – well, you got it – they are frightened of these kids. They are not KIDS they are young criminals. The sign at our enterance was painted again as were the speed limit signs. There were three neighbors who went out and got it off. That night the back windows of their cars were smashed out. These “kids” stand across the road and do not let us drive to our homes. The policeman said blow your horns and make them move. Well, this happened to my co-worker 10 (or so) years ago, and when they would blow the horn the “kids” would jump on their car and do damage. AND they attacked their daughter. I said, “What do we do?” The policeman said, “Take a stand or move.” But if you take a stand there will be retaliation. But I do not want you to be afraid.” Our neighbors put their house up for maybe $25,000.00 (or more) less than they could have a year ago. People were coming to see it and instead saw the gang writing and turned around according to the real estate lady. So, I work with one group where the crime is the highest in the state due to their illegal status and means of survival and I live with another group of teen terrorist. Cowgirl, what is Canada like? http://www.dc.state.fl.us/pub/gangs/la.html Look at this.

Wahington Weather said Man, a big AMEN! Except for the Virgina thing as I do not know her. I do not care if he won in Vegas and never has to work again! I am happy for him. Why wouldn't he share that? He has been talking to us here for 4 years or so -- we share other things -- like hardships -- why is he jumped for having something good happen? or thanking God? Johnny -- you go boy! Yeah God!!!

Fellowshipper Thank you for your post. I bet your wife sees it all... Sex is powerful. It is bonding. And forced sex is powerful and bonding -- it bonds us to an abusive situation or abusive person. It can ruin all future potentially "good sexual" relations. Rape is huge. It changes you. And if you are raped as a kid, I forget the odds maybe I can find them, that the person will become an alcoholic, under achiever etc... Rape ruins lives

Abi Thanks for all your information, I do appreciate it I do feel "at home" with these guys. Years ago I witnessed to Jews and wore a star of Davis with a cross in it. Jews for Jesus they were called. What is your view on the Christ?
