  1. AMEN! The church people would leave me a pamphlet on Jesus and getting saved and NO money -- cheap people! The drinkers were geerally good, unless they were so drunk they'd forget
  2. So, I give about $20.00 for the hair color and cut. The amount was $145.00 (I wanted to do Twently but only had $16.00) So, $20.00 is not enough? It should have been about $22.00? at 15%. Shoot, I will have to drive over with more money
  3. I caught up on reading. Nice thread What I saw in prayer in TWI is God became a vending machine - not a loving father. If I had the right change (my believing was there) I could insert 2 quarters and get the candy bar. God is not our employee, our vending machine, around for the "give-me’s" He is God. Yes, we can pray in faith and have the rule book (Bible) there and know his will, but it is he who answers our prayers in love -- not because we have the right change. Then -- Poor Jesus, he became a phrase rather than the son of God. TWI was so worried about worshipping Jesus that they got to the point where they mocked people who said things like "praise Jesus." They did not want to get the Jesus spirit - the deceiving spirit that worshipped Jesus rather than God. So, in their fear, instead Jesus was a phrase "in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen." No longer a living reality. Just what you say after you go to the vending machine with the correct change. How awful It was as if we were the ones running our prayer life and no longer "gave it to God" and if you did not get answer YOU had to work on YOUR believing. This opened the door to witch-hunts.... They must have sin in there life preventing God from answering their prayers --- The witch-hunt -- you brother has a lisp he must be a homo Did you give the exact tithe? And the like... Gosh, we all sin. If sin stopped God's love, protection or helping us out we'd never see him at work. Now, that is not to say go sin -- as the others in TWI thought they could do. I mean, you live life trying your best and you pray and God loves you. Or if your prayers are not answered -- you do not get the candy -- you may try a different quarter or two dimes and a nickel (trying to change your believeing thoughts, I AM believing -- I am I AM) So, you think you are not putting in the money correctly, or you get mad at the machine for not handing over what you paid for -- THIS IS GOD. Have faith in God. When my hand was all messed up a few years ago, I did not have the correct change at the vending machine. I was a sinner. Mad at a lot of things. But I did have faith that God would hear me -- a nothing -- and help me. I sang Jesus loves you to my hand and told it that God would have to do a miracle and medicine abandoned us. I read how this one guy was talking about miracles and I sent an e-mail to please pray for me. This WONDERFUL man then asked for my phone number and called me to pray. He prayed and said it looked like a fish hook in my hand -- no wait a dog hair (I was grooming dogs) and it shot down in my hand and thus the infection. The swelling was the body trying to push it out but the hair was bent and stuck on some tissue. He commanded in the name of Jesus for the hair to break and leave my hand. It did. I was healed. Not because I did not sin, not because I speak well, not for any other reason then God is good. For him to reach into my dark hole and help me was nothing other than a loving God loving me. The guy who called was from Thessalonica Greece and I am in Atlanta Georgia. For a wee period he did not pray for others. After he had a jolt. Someone dear he prayed for passed away. It hurt him. He was a tender hearted lover of God, and this really hurt. Before I contacted him, he had a friend of his in Germany tell him that God was going to move in his life and that someone would ask for prayer and be healed. (I think that was the fear. Fear of being powerless.... All the stuff thrown at us to stop praying) I was that someone. It was three countries and passing months, but God did something for me that makes me yell "Praise Jesus, Praise his holy name." So, pray, pray your goofy prayers from the heart, ask God to teach you how to pray, sing prayers, stumble through -- but do not ever stop!
  4. I just called Joe to let him know this was posted, I did not get to talk long as he was going to church. He will prob. check it out He is totally cool
  5. I have never tipped the maid at the hotel. I am suppose to? I did not know that?
  6. Okay more like this with spikes but blonde Now, why over tip at breakfast because they do not cost very much -- Cause I do over tip at breakfast. Sorry Raf I just saw your answer. My hubs tips the garbage guy --- or maybe bribs him to take thigs they usually leave behind -- like a chair.
  7. Listen for all you "$145.00 Yikes" people -- With the tip it was $161.00 I look really, really good right now, I am admiring myself as I type, later I will blow kisses at myself in the mirror I look so dang good. (Kidding) I had foils (highlights done as well) I told her I love God but I do NOT want to look like I am going to church. I want to look like I date Bon Jovi. "Do what you want", pointed at a few pictures I liked and she did a great job. Now, I do not look at all like Crystal Benard, but this is the hair I got. You can wear it down or add a bunch goop and pull it out and have it messy wild -- so, pretend Crystal is in her fifties, with brown eyes and red lipstick I spiked it all over today and looked like this at work- Not really, but I cannot find a good spiked hair picture. I know some of you are thinking I should get my tip back...
  8. I used to waitress as well. So, a $20.00 tip to the hairdresser is fine? Seems like you all tip well. The tip jar at like the Subway -- I tip a little because I do not want them to do something to my food, if they remember me, next time. I do not feel they did any extra.... Fudruckers I leave the table wiper a little something as she is really nice and I bet everything helps her, but I do not see others doing it.
  9. Went to the hair dresser today. I think I may over tip -- I figure she worked on me for 2.5 hours It was $145.00 and I gave her $16.00 normally I would do $20.00, but I ran out of money A girl I know gives them $5.00 for a perm - or color -- I think that is cheap. And do you tip like at Fudruckers where you go up and get the food. And the girl just wipes off the table. She doesn't even get or refill your drink? How about at Subway where they have a tip jar to make your sandwich? I hate that.
  10. Oilfield medic Where are you? How are you? Miss you. Concerned as we haven't heard from you
  11. Tony maybe we can aske th prez if you can have a special assignment An you can go kick some Chinese butt
  12. Rottie, I think three people got rabies and yes they killed people's pets. They would make noise then the dogs would bark and they would go into people's homes and tell them they could kill their own dog (and had to pay to do so) or they would take them and club them to death. And did. Under Mao I think he did not allow dogs either So, let's buy pet food from them.... Sudo That story killed me. Sounds like Lucas the border Collie here that saved a kid and was ripped in half by two pit bulls
  13. I like them I love these two the best so far, Perhaps It's Not Rebellion And Open hands
  14. Son I have read BG Leonard's book, the unadulterated PFAL IMO, and there are things that sound similar -- but that excites me. Because I am seeing what you are saying, I see your verses (and yes some are in TWI we are reading the Bible afterall) I know there are times when I am speaking in tongues and it does feel as though it comes from almost a different spot. Not the language - I mean my mouth and tongue are engaged, but the core of the operation of it. Like I feel love comes from a different place in me than calculating bills. We are to pray in the spirit because the spirit knows what needs to be prayed for - so it does bypass the mind. Not that we are in a coma of unable to function in the body... I know when you, and others who have been with or indirectly learned from BG Leonard, the things you know cannot possibly have been a mental thing -- a mental invention. They sprang from else where. Like when you knew my husband had an injury to the front of his head when he was younger in teen years AND THEN prayed for healing. My husband had been beaten up and wound up in the hospital for days. You could not have had that bloom from your mind -- it had to come from a different place. It was so right and peaceful. We still talk of your prayers for us. Now that being said, your brain was engaged. Anyway, I can see that spirit is more of who we are than body. Wrds I am not sure but I think it is hard to untangle the old teaching I have (corps and other crap) that if I am "in the spirit"and my mind is seperate so-to-speak somehow I am being operated rather that retaining my will. I see you are not saying that -- but I wonder if old teachings of that nature have people unable to see what you are saying.
  15. I had to hitch hike through Texas while in TWI. All I recall is FLAT. I had to pee-pee and I walked to foind something to "go" behind. Only it was so flat people from the road could see for miles... I found an ugly purple plant and tried to hide behind it. I think I mooned the whole hiway.....
  16. Rhino It is both problems. The illegals are in the woods the Katrina people in section 8 housing. We got a double hit Ex That Texas thing sounds nice. Johnny, I would love to live down the block from you -- it looks gorgeous. I heard today about Bloomsburg PA. Houses are big and cheap and there are jobs.
  17. For the above reasons and more we want to find a place like I grew up. Quiet and kind. Upkeep on homes. Respectful.
  18. I just typed up a whole thing here and it is gone. Our town meeting had the police, the commisioner and other political types. They said that ATL and the surrounding area absorbed about 30,000 people from the Katrina hurricane. And about 6,000 in our small area. The government bought homes in our areas and made them section 8 housing, many of which have become drug houses, and gang houses. Ther was one girl who was kidnapped and held by a "displaced" family. Many of these -- not all are criminals. The whole family , mother, grandmother and 3 sons were in on this. The one woman stood up and said that she heads her neighborhood crime watch. She called 911 and said she did not want to give her name. The 911 operator then CALLED the section 8 house (her friends and fellow Katrina people) and told them of the complaint and WHO made it. The section 8 drug dealers then went to her home and were screaming at her on her lawn -- in what used to be a nice manicured neighborhood. Other neighbors came out and they have it on film and went against the section 8 people and the 911 operator -- it is pending, she fears for her life. AND she cannot sell her house. Do you want to live near section 8 (government subsidized homes with drug dealers and criminals are known to live?) The police said it is America and we cannot stop the section 8 housing from going on. The comissioner said it is eating up any equity in anyone's homes. The teen population has dramatically increased. And they are hanging in large packs. I mean 20 or so. They will go to an area and not even live there. The police said these are different people moving in. Even when filming the kids doing things the parents are denying it is their -- kid. Why? The police said many of the parents are also criminals. Another guy called in a break in and it took 4 hours for the poice to come? Why? The homicide and drug rates are increasing. We heard that Houston and other areas are having the same problems -- those who unknowingly hosted criminals after the hurricane. One girl was in the stadium while the gangsters were there and was frightened by the storm, abandoned, and hold hostage by the gangs. It was awful -- but now those lunitics are in the burbs. The government putting them next to us and crime is "big city" level. They will send 36 new police here in a few months. (We need the armed guard almost) They caught some of the kids involved with the murder at the restuarant. But that poor 19 year old is still dead. We now here shots being fired. In the burbs people -- the bird singing -- drive a long way to work -- burbs. The police told us "things are changing. Different people are moving here and we cannot stop them. You need to take a stand or move. We hope you don't leave."
  19. Let me see.... If this is as upseting... There are a bunch of illegal people from Norway living in the woods speaking a language I do not understand. They have illegal paperwork, stolen id's and crime has become so bad that stores are pulling up root and closing. They are coming at a rate of 90 a day! A DAY to this area. Crapping in the woods, stinky, horrible. They sneaked into the country and are taxing the community hospitals etc. They refuse to learn our language and expect us to bend over backwards with free services that rob our Social Ssecurity system And there are horrid gangs of Australians running around with guns. They hang in neighborhood streets with their loud stupid music, they threaten the home owners and gang paint the homes/fences. They curse and do drugs and we have heard gun shots. A couple of them killed a kid in the neighborhood resturant And the dang people that came from England are having tail gate parties in their driveway, sreaming, yelling and almost having sex on the lawn. Their non-functioning vehicle decorates the front lawn with an old toliet. I cannot live like this. They are scum So, if anyone has any quiet areas please let me know.
  20. I think of cave dwelling. At the town meeting they really went through all the homes broken into and teens hanging out in neighborhoods they do not even live in. That is at the house I look out my window and see everyday, then the actual gangs, then illegals. Our neighborhood has over 20 houses up for sale. It is usually about 6 in the Spring. Not good -- every dollar I have is in my house I have no retirement
  21. Well, I am starting to look at the views of a state. OR city. Like San Francisco said they are a safe haven for illegals and will not enforce the law -- so that is out. I believe they called themselves a sanctuary city Although living next to gays is good as they do keep a nice house (the ones I know) We went up to a city near Chattanooga and in the paper it had an article about the illegals running there because ATL was cracking down. Rascal lives in a sweet area -- horses - country - nice. Only, I did not see a place to seek employment. I have land outside of Kingman AZ. But I have read on a Kingman link they are having "grow houses" and drug problems there as well. Madison Wiss. has always appealed to me. Anyone been there - I have only read about it. Our one idiot teen neighbor has about 20 teens at her home right now, on the lawn. And one is playing the SAX badly. We have all been calling the police on them. They put their trash in the neighbors cans, they have weird traffic. Cars in for five minutes then out. Something is not right There are retirement communities I am watching. I cannot get in yet -- but real soon here!
  22. Why yes, I believe I do 1. Gang members 2. People who park on the lawn, drinking in their drive ways, screaming and yelling past midnight 3. illegals Yes! Now back to some of the great areas you people told me about. Thank you so much.
  23. Thanks Ex Rhino and all of you who understand what I am saying. Tom, thank you as well. You have been a big help.
