I had posion oak for 8 weeks. I did not know food could help. Dom Boro (a mix with water thing from the drug store) and put it on my patches and took prednisone. It was awful.... Finally got rid of it. Dot Matrix

Ex - I know! Now, if I had it to do over, I would look for a guy who used a pocket protector, had a great job, who did not drink, NEVER gambles, maybe even a virgin.... I love Michael W. Smith especially "Friends" I love "4 him" They have a song "Where there is faith..." Best Christian song EVER! I had the CD a few years back called "Along the Road" with three female artisits: Susan Ashton, Mrgaret Becker, Christine Dente The WHOLE CD makes me have goose bumps it was so GREAT! WOW How awful it is! I keep this at our shop: Here I see homeless animals almost daily and have rescued 5 dogs in the past 9 years. We have all 5. I have helped with a rescue group and these women (mostly) have up to 17 dogs they are taking care of and trying to place. Now, all kinds of counties are cracking down on "too many pets" and passing laws. Yes, there are collectors who are SICK people and they do not feed or care for the pets they are taking in. BUT there are groups dedicated to finding dogs NEW homes and these folks should not be hindered (as long as it is not effecting the neighbors.) IMO It is so sad. Dot Matrix

This has nothing to do with your question, but while we are on the subject: I also read somewhere, perhaps that behavior site I spoke of... This woman had a little tiny dog and a HUGE dog came up and the little dog was visably frightened so the owner picked her up. The other OWNER (of the big dog) said her dog was sweet and would not hurt her. She said trust me! So, the little dog was put down by the owner and the big dog picked it up by the neck and with a bite and two shakes broke its neck and killed it. The moral of the story, your DOG KNOWS THINGS, if they are not comfortable with another dog DO NOT FORCE IT. Dot Matrix

Pepper spray is used by men that fix your electric lines or enter your property if attacked. I guess it works. Yes, by the time you fill a bucket or find a hose, there could be a dead dog. Dot Matrix

When I had my peke (that died last October) in California, we were walking her on a leash and this dog named "Jimmy" who was about 70 pounds came running up and attacked her. I know some karate, I took as a teen, and I kicked the dog in the chest off of my dog. Jimmy's dad began to yell at me for kicking his dog. I told him to go F himself and he better put his dog on a leash or I'd kick him! Dot Matrix

Rottie I responded and it did not post. I also heard to pull the dogs off by the back legs or tails. If there is a hose near by the water can break it up. I had two MALES fighting in our home. My older chow mix and younger one. It was awful complete with blood and injuries. The thing NOT to do is try to pull the heads away, which my hubby did and he got bit through the hand.
