  1. This looks like Janice's purse http://www.aquanuke.com/item-3466624372.asp Would you wear black shoes?
  2. When I was in California I shopped at Nordstrom's and Nordstrom's rack. Appearance was EVERYTHING in the corporations where I worked. I was up for a promotion and was actually told I did not get it because I did not drive a good enough car! I do see less and less dresses in the work place and I, for one, and happy about it. I do like the Fendi handbag as well as Louie Vuitton but being as both are brownish (at least when I could afford them) -- I never cared about the black shoe thing. We always just wore expensive handbags with any color shoe. Now an all brown regular handbag like the Agner would only be worn with brown shoes. Make- up I like Lancome and Este Lauder. I am a big fan of hid-the-hinney jackets, they make me more comfortable. Where do you live Abi? Are dark colors still the favorite in your area? Here in Georgia was the first time I saw women without stockings (in dresses) in the corp world. And also in sleveless dresses. In California, the woman at the companies for whom I worked, always had at least a little cap sleeve. I saw an actress talking about the beige shoe once. She had on a red skirt and showed it with red shoes and the eye did want to place the two reds together which actually squatted her. She showed that beige shows match her legs which was actually the "bottom" color. She did look longer and leaner! [This message was edited by Dot Matrix on March 14, 2004 at 17:51.]
  3. I had no idea about Donna or anybody (save two women one 11th and one 9th that hooked up). Donna was an attractive woman but as the years went on I did think she began to dress more manish. I just thought she liked the look - like Annie Hall or something. It was not until I got onto these X sites I heard about her interest in women. I had known about her being a Weirwille girl. Secret #333 This talk of her proclivity to women has surprised me in a specific way, but in a general way nothing surprises me. Ex and Shellon you all knew. I did not get that secret. Shellon I love the way you state it was like secret #485 or something... LOL :D--> There were so many secrets... The two Pat's hooking up in 1982 secret #334 VF and a 7th corps gal secret #211 JL and an 11th corps girl secret #277 Drinking parties -- secrets #344, 355, 364, 367-444. (A lot of) Female Rev's were choosen between the sheets. Secrets #488- #567 I missed that one. Secret #485! ha ha ha ha Good one Shellon!
  4. I love those white, color spotted, malt egg things. Now that I said it, I have not seen them. Do they still make them?
  5. That is okay, apparently people know more about "fluffy" and "muffy" then if you can wear a brownish designer bag with black shoes. there again the drapes do not match the carpet...
  6. That was VERY funny! I couldn't find the matching top amd bottom so I wanted to show the verticle line with the scarf.
  7. Hey Sunny1 I bet you were not Catholic either and so a lot of the depth of what some viewers felt may have escaped you like it did me. Sometimes I wonder if my inability to really connect with the sufferings of Christ, inhibit me from the "power" of the sufferings -- like he suffered so I can heal and live in victory. Maybe that is why whenever I prayed for healing, for the most part, I did not see it. Sunny, maybe we need to look into the sufferings of the Christ and what they mean TO US PERSONALLY a little bit more... Cause these folks here connected on such a deep and wonderful level -- I would like to actually "understand" or "feel" that. It could just be the way we were raised. I dunno. It might just be the film is received differently by different people, or maybe not having the images of Christ's sufferings while being raised; I did not connect. (but it also could be that I need things in English, cause that is how my mind works. Although limiting, it may just be my reality) I wish I felt the connection others have experienced and I really went to the movie thinking I would. Others: I do not care if Mel makes tons of money nor do I care what he does with it. He is allowed to have success. Afterall, it is he who took the gamble. People were not around offering money as the film was being made so I do not think they should criticize him on how he spends it.
  8. Okay what do's and don'ts do you know? My friend has a Louie Vitton hand bag and because it is brown (with the LV's on it) she will not wear it with black shoes. I said in California (10 years ago) we wore designer bags with any color shoe. Perhaps by virtue of its expense it went with any color shoes. She thinks she has to change her designer handbag to a black one to go with black shoes... What say you? Any other Fashion hints? I just watched a show on how a short plump woman can look more lean by wearing the same color bottom (pants, skirt) as top. Then, a different color jacket with a scarf hanging straight down on each side of the open jacket will give someone a verticle line.
  9. Oh Trefor I am so sad. He could not have been that old.
  10. Sorry for the choo- choo
  11. Trefor Kaveh Kamyar Who is he? The name is familiar? Iis he the Iranian guy who was in the 11th corps with the miracle story on how he got out of going to jail? If so, I am very sad. He was in trouble for something, like owning a Bible and they were driving him to prision (?) and he was praying --and in a country where there are NO bumper stickers -- He saw one on the car in front of him saying "Help is on the way". I forget the rest of the story but he was saved.
  12. Look, I know someone who was killing herself. She had slit her wrists and lay on the floor sobbing to the Lord. She was screaming, "I believe Jesus is Lord! I believe he got up from the dead! But what the "F" good has that ever done me?" The room felt and looked lighter, the blood stopped, she began to speak in tongues and God laid a message on her heart. So, does that make suicide a good thing? Or God a good God because he reached down through a very desperate situation and loved that woman? God - good Suicide - bad But because a GOOD God reached through a bad situation, does not make the bad situation a "good one" It means there is no ocean depth, or farness of the sky that can remove God's love from us and that he will find a way to love us even when we are "out there" or "in a cult." Racal - do not be so hard on yourself.
  13. Rascal Were you excited about Jesus Christ? God? Being able to have the Power of God in your life? Did you tell people that God loved them? Then YOU (and those like you) were the GOOD in TWI. Yes, I feel bad about getting people into a CULT but I do not regret telling anyone that God loved them and would heal their hearts. You were God's hands working in a shlt storm. And it is because God never did leave us or forsake us, because there were some people like you, we have conflicting feelings about TWI. (i.e., Gee, it was a bad cult but some people were so loving and great to me...) I think TWI was an evil cult. But I think God is a good and loving God. I think that God loved us despite TWI. God worked in some people to show his love despite the fact that they were in a cult. God loved people through your excitment for the Bible and your heart despite VPW and LCM and all the evil they set up. I am still thankful for Joe Guarini and the PFAL class (the watered down BG Leonard class), Lynn Merkel, Terry Pascoe, Leslie Olsen, LeAnn Kehr, Shelley Tishmberely, Michael Bolten, Al Poole. These, and other people brought me God like I had never known him (and I needed to know him). I only wish I had taken BG's class or that VPW was honest enough to tell us about Leonard and others. I wish I had left sooner, but I do not blame the good people that loved God for touching my life even though it was in the context of a cult. I resent the cult leaders and those people that turned out to NOT be nice people but servants to the cult. There is a marked difference. (IMO) [This message was edited by Dot Matrix on March 11, 2004 at 20:56.]
  14. Anymore on Jane? Thanks MoreyT - I loved you as well!
  15. I got an e-mail from her! She is so cool! I had really missed her!
  16. Ralph You stayed with Crystal and me in San Diego. I tried to reach you just to tell you I loved you for a couple years and your phone was busy -- all the time. Then, I realized the nicest thing I could do would be to NOT call you as you needed time off the phone. Anyway, I lost touch and I want you to know you saved my life and my mind by your travels and honesty when everything fell apart. You are number ONE in my book and I respect you greatly! Happy Birthday wonderful man! Dot P. Matrix You married my sister to her first husband in Michigan -- she also misses you and thinks of you fondly.
  17. Pat I am glad you showed up with these comparisons to BG Leonard I marked one of your studies down in doctrinal cause I likes it. Some folks here that worshop VP need to hear this stuff. Thanks for sharing.
