Excuse me but wolves will go under a fence and not over it. Ranchers have more since than to shot at a thunder storm. They know that what goes up must come down(most usually where you don't want it). The cost to put up the game proof fence as you sugjest would be around a half million for the average ranch around here. Of corse that does not include maintaning the fence. After each of those thunder storms you have to repair the fence at every creek and dry wash. I can buy a 20 round box of 5.56 for less than $4. I'll let you figure what they will do. If we go your way a steak would cost around $75 each. Forget mohare or wool. I guess you can wear polyester.

I remember a apartment mate of mine who did it. the only things I remember are his hunger and the fact that he had a lot of gas while doing it. Me. I was to much of a if it feels good do it kind of person. I like FOOD. Specialy mexican food. Well more correctly Tex-Mex. I never had enciladas in Mexico and the tamales were completly differant.

I guess that I'm going to have to give some of yall some help. Its not a pop, or a coke, or a soda, ITS A soda water. Pecan is pronounced PA-CON. That thing you push around in the grocery store is a basket. Not a bugy. The thing that many women carry around is a purse. Rodeo is pronounced ro-d-o. There just ain't no day to it. That small body of water in a pasture is called a tank. Not a pond. Texas is not a part of Dixie or the southwest. Texas is Texas. It is not only a state, its a state of mind. We have the right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness in a pick-up truck. Last but not least the best soda water there ever was or will be is "Dr Pepper". The best beers were Lone Star and Pearl. I don't even know if they are brewed anymore. Quit drinkin.

How to spot a cult leader? 1. They are the only one with a special word from God. 2. They demand complete and total loyalty. 3. They demand that you give up everything for them. 4. If you question anything you are the devil/advasery. 5. They will try and separate you from family and friends. 6. Their teachings start close to what you knew and steadly get farther and farther from the truth. 7. They teach a message that changes with time. What I have learned is that if a leader demands anything but love for God. Run don't walk for the exit.

I can't believe it but I'm going to defend TWI. Back in the 70's when TWI was actually growing dynamicly it made a lot of since. When you take a person who has started in the corp and gone to their first assignment they would almost always pis people off. They expected everyone to be as anal. It takes a while to understand how the world really works. So you take them and throw them to the wolves. Then you ,ove them somewhere else where the people arn't made at them. This allows the leader to grow and start over. The people are so happy to get someone new that they don't notice they are getting the same line of horse dang. It really made since. Today it is another story. Phillip was able to serve in one spot after that. How many ministers stay at the same church their whole ministry life. The answer is none. After each growth period you need to change to grow. You see differant things and learn. Now let me say this. I have seen many mature leaders stay in one spot for 20 or more years and be effective and dynamic. No one can start that way. We all grow with Christ and learn to walk in faith.

Ya'll are making me feel lower than a snakes belly. How could I be so dumb as being a TWIt who followed a sex crazed, egomaniac, plagurist, greedy, anal, mog wannabe.

55% Dixie. But who cares. I"M FROM TEXAS. Still think we should of stayed our own country. Went back and took the test again. 48% yankee. I have never lived anywhere but Texas. I read the foot notes about the test and it was writed and developed at Yale or Harvard. The whole dang thing is a Yankee invasion. This proves that the union winning the war of northern agression is all a lie.

Ranchers for years have not followed the law. I can tell you a large number will shoot any dog they see on their property that is not their own. They don't wait to see if it is going after livestock. All dogs that go ferrel will kill livestock or anything else to survive. The largest problem for ranchers is people who no longer want their dog. Many people just go out in the country where thier dog doesnt know how to get home and release the animal. The dogs will form packs and go after deer and livestock. Some dogs will chase deer for the fun of it. They chase the deer until it drops dead. They don't eat it. Its just fun to chase. Ranchers in other areas will shoot coyotes, wolves, mountain lions, and even eagles. The reason is pure economics. What would you do if an animal was doing $1000 a day in damage to your wallet.

It really depended on where you were and if you had some corp nazi's or loving people over you. The organization was such with its many levels of leadership that anyone above the little leaf was prone to get sr***ed. No bussiness could ever of operated like twi and servived.

I have to agree with oldies on this one. A long long time ago when there was a far gentler TWI people got blessed by being there. A lot of people got hurt at the same time. For me I did a lot of reading the Bible and studying. I got out after just 4 years and went to where I thought a more correct/rightly divided word was taught. People did come to know God thru TWI and for that reason I don't totally condem it.

Armageddon Ready - Prudent, Proper & Painless Survival Precautions

If we are talking guns I win. I have four asault rifles and then we go to the fun stuff. But seriously, do you really expect sociaty to break down. I fear a panic where people leave the cities and invade the rural areas thinking it will be safe. Take a town of 1000 and add three thousand people without a place to stay and food. Then you'll see panic as the shooting starts. The safist place is at your house with a few days of food. Just remember all you Rambo want to be's. It is a lot harder to shoot someone than you think. That is if you have any feelings. When you put the sights on a person and start taking the slack out of the trigger you just might find that you don't really want to shoot. -
lmaorotf My only question is did the cat or the husband leave. If my wife did that I'd be out of the house and down the road. I have thought about asking my 22 yr old son to either lose the dog or move out again with the dog. Last time his dog got kicked out of the apartment before he did.

What do you do with one boob? Easy, ask any man who is married to a woman who had breast cancer. The answer is concentrate on the one.

You will not see me putting anything like that in my house. If I can see then big brother can see.

This may sound strange but skyrider on another topic got me thinking. God uses us sometimes and sometimes he uses unGodly people to answer prayers and do work. Skyrider talked about a time as a wow that prayer healed the eyesight of an old woman. People with TWI did a great thing. Once I was praying about buying a new car. My boss had been pressuring me ( they paid me to maintain one and have it available for company use). I walked into his office one morning and said I was going to buy a new car that day. He said don't. It was answered prayer. I was praying about going into bussiness for myself. My wife and I had sat down to do some praying together about this. We were going to ask my parents for a loan. Before we finished praying the phone rang. My parents had had their truck stolen. In my life God has used many people whom I don't consider christians to answer prayers. God used twi at times and he uses others. What are your views and what has happened to you.

While listing is a big part of ministering, to me the big word is caring. When I care about a person everything else flows as it should and things happen.

Reading this has show me how much of the TWI teachings have been flushed out over the years. The "replenishing" the world brought back some memories. I'd forgoten that. Boy am I happy.

Answer to Kit's question... contract worker vs. gov. employee
ex70sHouston replied to Zshot's topic in Open
While this is is true in many cases the fact of the matter is that the privatization of many military funtions has saved the government millions os dollars. The one area that this is not true is the military. The problem here is that the military cannot train and retain the number of people required to do the job. I was offered a job by Brown and Root in October. I would be on a base in Afganistan working on air conditioning and heating. $84,000 a year of which 80k was tax free. All housing and food was paid. Never have to leave the post. Minimul danger. I was offered the job because the military needs its men and women on combat roles. My father-in-law use to work in civil service for the air force rebuilding jet engines. 25% of the people did 75% of the work. Yes a private company would have fixed the problem. -

Vickles If you didn't do any think to bring it on just look forward and don't let it bother you. You can't make people happy if they are mad. I find that there are people that I either like or hate at almost an instant. This I feel is discerning of the Spirit. Yes I do believe that. Now as an employer. The instant I get an ultimatum I terminate employment( of the complaining person). When a personality problem comes up I try and work it out. Sometimes I sugjest that people find other employment. Then there are times I terminate someone because they cause problems. But an ultimatum to an employer is stupid. If the employer bows to this there will soon be another and another.

Belle I was wrong there was one situation I remember. A friend who went wow got back to the ROA from the field with nothing but her daughter and her car. The car had WOW writen on the side with house paint. Anyway she ask if they could move in with me to help them get back on their feet. They moved in and Olivete got sick. By sick I mean that she got phuemina sp. and was off work and sick for a month. I had to play dad to the daughter and nurse her for 6 weeks. I don't remember anyone calling or caring how she was.
-
What I remember is that we would always help when possible. We would help people move or paint their house. I don't remember anyone getting sick. But getting sick was like not believing so it may have been kept secret. I even once loaned a wow my truck because he was doing contacting work on his own. That was his job. It was also the last time I let anyone have my truck.
