  1. O the memories. I likes the shower arrangment at Sidney. I think you had to walk through a football stadium and use the high schools showers. The first year at headquarters it was either hot water or cold water. It changed evry 15 seconds. I remember vegtable pizza. I really did like it. Walking around talking with friends and people walking up and bumming money so they could go WOW at the last minate. Being sound asleep until someone started driving in tent spikes at 2 in the morning. Could'nt complain I did it the night before. Being stuck in Brownsville Tenn. with a bad transmission for three days (OK it happened on the way). Having my dad mad at me for not calling my mom on her birthday because I was at the rock. Everyone being sad as they left. The 70's were good years. Almost forgot all the hot women that were there. By the way I must have left early because I didn't hear about Elvis till we were on the way back.

    whatever

Ex I'm sorry about your dad. I remember my dad dying while I was with him. I watched him take his last breath. Be happy you wern't there. Try and remember good times and things you did with him. As far as reiki nurse. Nothing that she did will have any lasting effect as far as your father and the here after. Personally I think the b*tch slapping sounds good.
  3. LMAOROTF Checking up on me and why I didnt make it to fellowship makes me happy I,m not there anymore.
  4. This was a total flash back. Yes as Bell said, I heard his voice, I felt the hands of the girl behind me giving me a neck rub to keep me from falling asleep, the sweat rolling down my face (they turned the a/c off because you counld't hear the class with it running), my butt hurting from sitting. At first I as going to down load it. But why. I know better now.
  5. Just let him come to Texas. I wonder how much it would cost to get the head mounted over the fire place.

    New Used Cars

Two things to mention. #1 and said by many. Get a mechanic to look over the car. Started to buy one till I found out it needed $5K in work that I didn't see and the private owner didn't mention. Bought another one and have done great. #2. Buy big. I have a wall of fame in the garage of licence plates of totaled vehicles that my sons have driven. Don't spend much money for this reason. Also the bigger vehicle wins in a wreck every time. Please note that two of the totals were not my sons fault but in one case the fact that he was in a truck saved his life. the truck that burned in my dads drive is still a mystry. Lastly (yes this is three) as someone else has said don't get in a hurry. We start looking months before we need till we find one in good shape and at a reasonable price.
  7. This shows where our troops hearts are.
  8. If any current Corps want to get on the net they can always find a way. A library, a family member, even a friend. Telling them they have no access is telling some to get on. I just want to say Hi to all those lurkers who are still in.
  9. The season starts May 15 for the Pacific. It will turn north and die. The water in the Gulf is to cold.
  10. I take most studies done by universities with a grain of salt. They are just looking for the next grant to underwrite the cost of to much administration and not enough class time. Before you flame me let me state that my wife teachs at one. I still remember when my kids were small and I'd drop them off at the day care. Each day I would neal down and hug my boys. After a time a line would start for other kids to get hugs at the same time. The administrator stated that it showed how many kids did not recieve affection at home. My two youngest boys have ADD. I do a minimum dossing because they need to learn how to get by without meds. I have had a problem with one teacher who wanted to medicate every child to make her job easier. I had another teacher who worked with him and made a real differance. Lets give a hand to teachers. They have a hard time working with our kids. Most teachers are the most fantasic of people. The main problem with kids are parents that don't care, won't care, don't take the time, or just havn't come down to earth long enough to see that its the parents job to raise their own kids.
  11. Steve it was a blast playing tourist. Never realized there was so much to see around here. Compared to my kids he is a fuddy duddy.
  12. Well I just dropped him off at the post office. He is now headed for Tennesse via Priority mail.
  13. Well O Well. He just showed up yesterday and I'm going to start showing him the big city of Kerrville, Texas. By the end of the week he'll see both Fredericksburg and Comfort. He may even get down to San Antonio.
  14. O the memories. My now 22 yr old thought he knew it all at 18. He blew a completly free collage ride because of drinking. He finally came around as the hard knocks of life hit home. he got the greatest card and gift for his mom yesterday. It takes a while but they do grow up.
  15. Last week I had to go to Houston and while there met some old friends from TWI. A small part of our reunion was talking about greasespot. They both stayed in long after I left and had many reasons for leaving. They had worked out a lot of there anger at WayDale and are now mainly lurkers. My reason for being here is two fold. One is that I left a lot of good friends behind and wanted to catch up. The second was that it left a hole in my past that I have never addressed. Why did I join and then why did I stay? This I havn't figured out and ? Doesn't make since to hang around a bunch of ex cult people talking about how things were so bad when we (I) need to talk about the good things.
  16. THis is a clasic statement of the pot calling the kettle black. Why can't a woman ever throw anything away? Why does a woman go through the guy's stuff and throw out stuff? Why is it the man who has to move his stuff into the garrage because every closet in the house is filled with cloths that don't fit anymore? Please note that these are all her cloths. I spent $1 to her $100 when it comes to cloths and stuff.
  17. This goes way way back to my collage days. I was sitting by the building entrance and was studing. On the other side of the entrance was a guy feeding a squirrel some potato chips. When he ran out of chips the squirrel barked at him for more. When no more came he lifted his leg on the guys foot and then ran off. I was laughing my foot off as the guy chased the squirrell. Squirrels are nothing but tree rats.
  18. I went to one where the crew was bigger than the "audience." :)--> It was embarrassing. The nice thing about being on the crew is that you didn't have to sit, listin, and try and stay awake. Being on the crew you got to stand up and walk around.

    Cool Story

Hey my grandpa left that money there. Its mine.
  20. He hasnt made it yet. I've been watching for him.
  21. Having just recently gotten that letter from AARP saying that I can now join lets talk. Retirement is just 15 yrs away. I took my secratery out to a job site the other day and a guy ask if she was my daughter. Ouch that hurt. A couple of years ago the waitress ask if I wanted the senior special. I wanted to hit her. It hurts when you fill out a form and you move up a age group. Personaly I don't worry about gray hair. It started coming in 27 yrs ago. I'm just glad I have hair. Don't worry there is like after 50. Just not much.
  22. First of all take what you want to earn for the year and double it. Then sit down and write down every piece of equipment you will need and add the cost up. Just because you already own a piece of equipment doesnt mean it doesnt cost. Example would be a tractor. You may own it now but it cost to buy it. Best thing is to add the cost of renting a tractor. Don't forget fuel and maintance. How about an office. The cost needs to include water, electric, garbage pickup, ofice supplies, telephones(dont forget you have to buy them first). Remember hings like computers, copy machine, fax machine, filling cabinets, adding machine. INSURANCE. It costs me around $400 a day in overhead for a small company.
  23. Was it worth it. Speaking for me only, and even considering I'm from the early era of good feelings. HELL NO. I have had to analize every teaching and sermon since. While I find my beliefs are still close to those of TWI the trust that I should have in ministers/ministries is now lacking. I have lost the ability to trust. I can honestly say that I wish that I had never taken the class. The only good thing was the people. the love we had for each other was great. The rest was .....

    Bargains

One site that I like and go to often is GunBroker.com. Its the eBay of guns. Just be careful less you bid on something you realy can't afford. Last time my spousal unit told me this one belonged to her.
  25. His policy is not to enter a hotel room first. he will always have someone else enter first to make sure no one is there. One time they found a woman and a photographer. Seems they were trying to start a little scandle. He didn't ever want to do anything to hurt his ministry by distroying his testimony.
