  1. That guy is quick. I kept on trying to keep the curser from gettin eaten.
  2. I remember a lot of good times with other believers. Good fellowships. Great times with friends. It was my last two years of collage the the first 1.5 years out. We all came here for differant reasons. I came here to try and find old friends and remember the good times. Some people come here to work off the hurt and frustration. Be positive and look at the good things. Sometimes life just sucks. Yes I got out in 79 before things went bad. Doesn't mean everything was great either. If it had been I would have stayed. What I'm trying to say is that everyone had a good time at some time. Or why did you stay in?
  3. Darn its down now. I guess I need to check here more often to see the stuff before they take it off line. At first I thought manybe they hacked GS and changed the address.
  4. Congrats. I just hope flushing is worth the $80 a month we pay for water. But if it dosn't rain soon we may not have water. We can't water lawns. Soon we will not be able to wash cars. 10 miles above us the river flow is 40 cubic feet per second. 20 miles below it drops to 14. Wells are nice because you have as much water as you can pump till it goes dry. Then you get thecheck book out to make the well deeper.

    cellphones

Because of work I have to be accesable. It started with a true car phone. Well in my case truck phone. If you forgot to turn it off at night it ran the battery down. Roll the truck down the hill and pop the old clutch. Any way went to a bag phone and now I'm on my 7th or 8th cell phone. My responce is to learn caller ID and to turn the sound off. I hate when I'm in a conversation to get a call. I either appoligize or turn the ring off. The phone can wait. Usually its just people checking in or the new problem that needs solving. They usally can wait a few minates. I generally wear a phone out before I can get the next free. I am getting where I tend to forget to bring the thing with me. HEHEHE

Actually the lateist thing in grilling is beer chickin. You impale a chickin over an open can of beer with a special little rig. Pretty dang good. Me I just pull the grill out of the garage start the propane throw on 4 links of sausage and a few steaks with a lot of fat. After the fat gets going pretty good you can turn off the grill and the flame lasts a good 10 minates. Take it off the grill and eat. If it moo's just stab it with a fork and take another bite. I think we really need to get a goat. I'll even skin it for you.

Just remember that in Texas BBQ means BEEF or maybe cabrito(goat).
  8. That may be city folk. Out here in the country no one throws trash out on the highway. People drive politly. Mainly because of the gun under the seat. Hunting rifles are to hard to move quickly to shot back.
  9. Twenty some odd years ago when I was in Houston working for a large company. Periodicly we would have company pot luck lunchs. At one of those I blessed the food. The wearhouse manager (A JW) said that I must be a believer because of how I prayed. I think it was the fact that I prayed to God rather then Jesus. He was like a best friend after that. He was always watching my back. Carrier Houston Company was a place where you got stabbed in the back all the time.
  10. I hate to menton this but we all live off others adversity. When your dog gets sick the vet, his employees, the stores they go to are all blessed by the money you spend. When your a/c unit breaks people like me in the a/c business are able to feed their children. I'm sorry for the problems. I have had bleeding in my left eye and poured $984 into the a/c on my sons truck. I understand. Just look for the blessing.
  11. This is my bad boy day. Lets not forget all the gays and homosexualls that may feel that they are more than just male or female. I would say what I truely fear but you might think I was a Martindale fan.
  12. Al Quada target number 32254. Any beach showing that much skin has to be from the great satan. or Has anyone seen the diaper bag? We got a full one here.

To watch them decide they like your sister more because he remembered rocking her to sleep every day. The last three years a eat luch with my dad every friday. It was one of the best investments in time I have ever made.

Farm Bureau. You don't have to own a farm to get their insurance. My secratery was renewing her insurance and the lowest she could kind was Progressive. I got her to call Farm Bureau and it reduced her cost by 40%. Service is great. They have local offices, agents, and claims. I have all my insurance except bussiness insurance through them. I dont insure the bussiness because they dont offer non farm workers comp. insurance.
  17. I got a miserable 13%. Then I reread the instructions and got a 100%. I'm the man.
  18. I used to have a Labrador Retriever and was standing in line at Wal Mart buying a large bag of Purina Dog Chow. The lady behind me in line ask if I had a dog. It was one of those days where I was being bad so I said no. I was starting the dog food diet again. I expressed to her that I probably shouldn't as last time I awakened in the intensive care unit with IV's in both arms and tubes coming out almost every oriface. But the prospect of losing another 50 pounds was to much. I told her it was essentially a perfect diet and the way it works is to load all your pockets down with Purina pellets before you leave home and simply eat one or two every time you feel hungrey. The food is nutritionaly complete so I was going to try it again. By now every one in line was entralled with my story. Especially a tall heavy guy just behind the woman. Horrified, she ask if I had been poisened or what had caused my trip to the hopital. I told her no. I'd been sitting in the street licking my balls and a car hit me. The tall guy nearly had to stagger out of the store, oxygen-depleted from laughter. I paid for the food and left with a lot of smiles behind me.
  19. I know a lot of people who have taken chemo and yes they still work. Try to keep your health insurance while not working. Maybe all the weakness, nausia, hair loose, changes to the skin etc. etc. are not bad. The fact your bodie defences are down and you cant fight off any infection. Chemo is just a walk in the park. Till you have been there dont tell me how easy chemo is. I have two friends that lost their wives to breat cancer. Yes early detection gives the best chance for survival. Depends on the type of cancer as to the regement of chemo given. Just because my wife couldn't eat for a day or two after each treatment. O and the first treatment they gave her was with a pump. The treatment lasted three days. Just hang around the hospital. No since driving the 275 miles home and then back. She could always carry a bucket in her lap so we didnt have to pull over for her to throw up. Lets get back on subject. What right does a court have to say about how you raise a child. Well lets just let them say that they need to take our children out of our homes because we teach them christian values. They may think we are turning them into terrorists. Government is taking our rights away. Every time you guve the government control over something they will control very thing it touchs.
  20. Parents have the right to say what treatment their own child should get. Until you go through chemo / or watcha loved one go through chemo you dont realise how horable it is. The first round failed and they were trying alternate care. They should have the choice. I do believe that a higher court today gave the rights back to the parents.
  21. Some old friends from Houston that I havn't seen or heard from are the Clepper brothers and then Betsy Witte. Larry went wow in 78 and the returned to SA in 79. Betsy was going to nursing school and I lost track of her.
  22. I was just looking at a old photo album at a picture of Bruce and Sally when they were in Houston in 77/78. Did they ever have any kids.

October I think is the best month for outdoors in the fall. November its to cold to swim. Besides deer season will have started.

The Woodlands is only about 300 miles from me. Thats a 6 hr drive, 4 getting to Houston and two crossing town. I could handle driving over a friday night. Spend saturday talking about why I got out and then drive back on sunday. You really don't want to see me in a bathing suit. It would scare all the children and cause multipule deaths from laughting.
