Helped mark and avoid someone because of his shoes

The 70's were grand. The Branch leader only complained to me that I should date only in the WAy. I dated just about every decent looking girl there that wasn't married. That was ok except that the girls I wanted were WOW's and they were off limits. The more I remember the more I remember the little controls that got bigger all the time. The first time someone would have checked my drawers would have been the last. -
I think the massive growth TWI saw in the 60's and 70's was as waysider said. The right product at the right time. The baby boomers (me) were not happy with the christian revival of the 50's. We wanted excitement. What we got in church as being told to be se and not heard. Be quiet, sit still, and sing songs from 1890. What we wanted was excitment, music that moved, and the thought that we were learning things our parents just didn't understand. If you didn't experience TWI back then you dont understand. We were happy, everyone loved everybody. When I read the posts about TWI in the 80's and 90's it amazes me that anyone stayed.

Holding out for a better price. I just want to know how they are going to run sewer, water, and electricity to that house?

I am the senior sound tech at church. If they were still using equipment out of the 80's wow. The current board I use is 24 channels with 6 monitor channels per. That's grand verse what was used 10 years ago but nothing for today. Currently looking at a digital board. If you don't do sound you don't understand. Look at it this way. At least they didn't throw this money away.

I know I'm not normal. 1 I died in the ER once. 2. I was shot in the head with a 45. I actually dug the bullet fragments out of my head myself. This does not relate to #1. 3. At 15 I was driving a dump truck before I ever got a drivers licence. 4. I'm a man and do all the family laundry. 5. I'm a man and do 98% of the cooking. 6. And relating to the above you can have my wife for a night for a lot less than $1,000,000. 7. I don't eat cereal. I cook 8. I don't pee in a pool, but there is nothing more exhilarating than peeing outside. My grandfather would never use the bathroom unless it was raining. I'll stop now because 90% of the women don't believe me.

Advertising has to have one of the following. It either has to meet a need or creat a need. The one thing that a salesman has to have is excitment. If he is excited about his product he can sell it. I could never sell the class because I wasn't excited about it. The excitment I saw when I first went was what got me in. After the class it was gone.

OK OK OK OK What did you like least about the ROA?

Everyone talks about the heat. It was either 76 or 77 I remember freezing at night it got so cold. After Texas heat it never seemed that hot in Ohio. -
I didn't believe it all. The excitement and friends kept me for a long time. What helped me stay the 4 years was something my dad taught me. You can attend a church and not believe everything they teach. Believe what you believe and hold on to it. Listen and check out what is taught but don't take it at face value. It was great at first and better when I left. One thing that was done right was the small groups. Many church's have gone to cell groups to give that intimate feeling the twigs had.

I'd drive 300 miles to see his stuff. Its great.

THanks for the info. Just ordered the CD. Just shows how openning our eyes can show us great things.

OK OK OK OK What did you like the MOST about ROA?

Friends. Seeing people who had moved on, went wow, or just disappeared. They all turned up at the Rock. It was a fun reunion. Of course this was back in the 70's. -
OK lets get this strait. I am a white boy living in a rural Texas town. I even go to the First Baptist Church (where of all things there is one other extwi member). Last night I was listening to some christian music on XM. Heard a song and instantly feel in love. XM 33 I would describe as a channel that will have songs sung at an African-American church. I am sorry if I said that wrong. I mean no disrespect. If you know that artist and where I can buy a CD please tell me.

Two things that I hated. 1. 1100 miles each direction in an overloaded car. 2. People bumming money. Don't come if you can't afford it and definitely don't go WOW at the last second. 3. Yes I'm adding number 3. People who waited till the ROA to go WOW. They always left a disaster back home for friends to clean up. Apartments to pack up and clean up. Hey they wanted their deposit. Then they always went around bumming money so they could go. Don't know how many times I've thanked my sister for talking me out of going WOW. -
I'm getting into this late. My oldest son moved back home and brought back with him a part pit part chow dog. The dog has seen me since he was a pup. This dog will cower around other dogs. People he will either love or hate. If he decides he does not like you you will not come into the yard. Two years ago my two younger sons brought him out to the front yard because they were playing basketball. Everything was fine until another dog came in the yard. Bleu cowered and the other dog(which was twice his size) nipped him. I could not find any wound on him. The other dog had to be put down from the damage. My youngest son got 5 stitches from trying and stopping the fight. Pits are a dangerous bred because they are always just a hair from losing control. I can go out and beat the dog and he just thinks I'm playing. I have seen him try and tear through the fence to get to some people. I wish the dog was gone.

I really needed that. Apparently he's been eating my special recipe for beans

Alot of times if you go to the airlines web site and look around they will have a list of discounted fares if flights are light. These will not be listed with the regulare flight listins but as specials. Cant remember exatly where I found it. I've done this on Delta before. Also travel agents can do wonders sometimes.

Its very hard to just sell a idea. Ideas in and of themselves have no value. If you aren't willing to start a business its just talk. Sometimes you can start a seminar series and get it going. Excitement sells. If you aren't excited don't waste your time.

Nobody has my last name. I guess that means I dont exist. I've got news for them. I exist. What is more important I have three sons. I may be the only Kampfhenkel. But in 10 years there will be a lot more. That is if my boys will ever decide to settle down and make little Kampfhenkel's.

Here in the GREAT STATE of TEXAS the Texas Parks and Wildlife offer management serves to ranchers. They survey your property and then tell you how many deer and of what sex they are to take that year. What really happens is the land owner leases the property out to hunters from the cities and they shot their dear. Then we have a bonus season to fill out what the management report says needs to happen. Then all the poor folks (me) go out and do game management. This puts meat in the freezer. As far as trapping nurturing and releasing. The state doesn't have enough money to do that. Their are an estimated 250000 deer in this county. That gives a population increase every year of abut 100000. We are just one of 254 counties. We are talking billions of dollars. We have three bears, a few mountain lions, a few coyotes, and a bunch of Ferrel dogs(thanks to all the city people who bring their dogs out and dump them). They don't even touch the deer population. Then about 2000 a year to cars. Then the hunters take about 20000. Its almost impossible to control their population. Natures answer is to let the predators come back. Just one problem. I hope you dont like to eat meat.

I hit a deer on the average of once every two years. I missed a nice one saturady morning and another monday night in front of my neighbors house. My answer is called a grill guard. It may be ugly but I win every time. They are also very effective against chevy cavaliers. They do not help when the deer jumps and tries to go through the windshield. It was in the paper yesterday here that 2000 deer a year are picked up by either the highway dept., the county, or the city. That does not count the ones that are hit and run off and die in the woods. The thing to remember when they run out in front of you is not to try and avoid it. Your insurance will pay more for a deer collision(less deductible) than if you run off the road and hit something. I think it was 2000 and I hit an axis deer at 50mph with 0 damage. The only significant damage was to the windshield and roof that one time. The first thing I buy once I buy a truck is a grill guard. Current one is from Frontier Truck Accessories in Center Point Texas cost about $1000. Knowledge that I won't be stuck in the middle of nowhere with a busted radiator. PRICELESS. A billboard in town use to say "It's not if you'll hit a deer. It's when?"
