It is nearly non-existant for a religious leader to not think it is their God given deeevine right, gift, ordination etc., to lord over people. Since I left twi, I became so aware of that. Weeelll, that is one thing I am grateful I learned.

What is the last thing you hear before a redneck dies? "Hey ya'll.....watch this!!"

Doctorates, and other qualifications fit for the outhouse..

And mightier, eh. Sorry, I do not know your history and your are dealings with his grandkids. Therefore, I can not tell you if this is revelant or not. Obviously, it is for you. I assure you I am not making light of this. I don't walk in your shoes. Then on another thought......I don't know if arrogance and/or egotism is inherited. I rather think it is taught, learned. -

Ham, honey, you still want to know who the critics are? Don't fret over this. If we knew the critics.....what? Surely, we are called to wonder and ponder greater and mightier things. -
Covering? Where is THAT in the Church Epistles written to the members of the Body of Christ?

Bluzeman.....your scenario made think me of Ed and Karen. They were pretty hard core biker rebels. They were witnessed to. They said they had been thinking about God in their life and wanted to settle down and get serious about life and wanted God, wanted more in their life, fellowship in their life. This is a short synopsis. They committed to a church and were seriously hot and involved. They were judged because of what they wore or hair or whatever. They did the same with another church. And another. Karen told me, "We were treated better by our biker friends at the bar."

Whew, thanks, WordWolf. I am so thankful for folks like you who have learned this computer stuff. Thank you for taking the time to look that up for me. I would not have even known where to begin. Blessings, Kimberly

I like to play a word game on Kewlbox. Everytime there is a bar that comes up on the top and says, "This website wants to run the following add-on, 'MSXML 3.0 SP9' from 'Microsoft Corporation'. If you trust the website and the add-on and want to run it...click here." What is this? Should I do it?

Watered Garden...You go girl!!! I L!O!V!E! your last sentence. I am still giggling. Aahh, being restrained under the Law evokes rebellion in His children. I love it!!! And so does our Father. It ain't about rules and regulations but about the heart. And you have that, sister girl.

The rumors of my death have been greatly exaggerated!

Jeff, why are you still there?... in that splinter (ouch, thorn in the flesh) group? Free yourself, brother. Please pass go and move on. Even if you have to stay home and sup with yourself and the Lord. Oh, my gosh, He will bring, take, lead you or others to you for fellowship. Have you considered that this fellowship you are involved in is akin to evil. Heck, I went to a Wiccan meeting one time and it was so loving and caring that I would opt for that over your fellowship. What would you lose if you left that splinter group? You gain what if stay there? -
The renewed mind is to put on the mind of Christ. His is the new, ours is the renewed. He never had an old mind that had to be...re...(prefix very important) His never had to be fixed. Sorry, a southernism...fixed... He did it right the first time. He thought everyday (mind, thoughts, decision) about being obedient to His Father. He chose obedience. That is the renewed mind. Choosing what the Lord Christ Almighty chose. He so loved His Father He would never disappoint Him. Obedience. Then again what the Lord did, said and thought is mightier than what I can put into words. All I know now is that He is the Head...the brain...the thoughts, the Leader of His Body. I had a sunesis moment a few years back when I was trying to figure out stuff and realized that was not my function, calling, job, responsibility. I am a member in particular in His Body and He is the Head honcho. He has it all figured out, already, because He knows how life works. Duh, Kimberly...... Just to know that the Lord Christ and I have the same Father.....beyond any words I know.....

O. K. Oakspear, I am busted. I went back and read what I posted and I guess it could be taken as you stated. I can assure you I didn't intend for it to be taken that way. I have a brain problem where the microchip in it gets to twirling so fast the fingers on the keyboard just can't keep up. Sometimes, I must think I am posting to myself. Ha!! Ha!! Poor choice of words on my part to convey my thoughts to other readers. "Some people" did not refer to anyone on here. I actually had an ex-wayfer who lives here tell me everything we lived, loved and experienced was not real because it was built upon twi. Several years ago I found a long lost way friend via another ex-wayfer. How we lost contact is another crazy story. Holy moly, we loved each other, loved each others families, babies, children. Did make a move without consulting each other. Spent weekends together. Took vacations together. We lived life in the trenches and on the mountain tops together. We shared all things. She told me the life we lived was a lie because it was built around twi...VPW this and VPW that. I said, what? You have got to be kidding?!?!! I never felt that way. Still don't to this day. Geez, a lot of the stuff we did was criminal according to twi rules. Our families would take off for the weekend and not tell anybody, have weekend long spend the night parties at each others house. Gosh, we even nursed each others babies. They live fairly close to me and I was salivating at the thought of taking up where we left off. Talk about having the wind knocked out of ya. I still have a wrinkle in my heart over that one. My love was real.

God's foreknowledge/predestination

Waysider, when I said I am sick of people blaming God I was not referring to any posters on this site. I was posting about the many I live in the trenches of life with. Please direct me to the Renewed Mind thread. I can't seem to find it. -
With Love and Best Wishes, "Goodbye from Jonny Lingo!!!"
kimberly replied to RainbowsGirl's topic in Open
Okey dokey, my point is further proven. You can't know the tone of someone if not looking at them face to face and conversing with them in person. Obviously, I, also, am guilty of that. I am going to splain (not a typo) myself because I do not want anyone, Johnny Lingo in this case, to think I am disrespecting them and/or unloving towards them. I would never do that. My take on Johnny Lingo's letter (I think Rainbows Girl you did say he wrote it and you were posting it for him) was that his feelings were hurt by something someone posted and that was why he was leaving. -

God help us all that take ourselves or others to heart on this glorious world wide web. It ain't heart to heart, bubba Lingo. It ain't face to face, person to person. It does not equate to realtionship, the prefix being real. For serious real, you are gonna get the wind knocked out of your drawers because of something that is only related to a keyboard? Can I have an A. I very seriously know what you mean about not having a bad time in twi. As I have said in many other posts I had the best time in twi. I made friendships over 30 years ago that I still have to this day. Just because others had bad times does not negate mine. And I do not negate theirs. I never would. I was a sexually abused child. I know. God Almighty, how I know. I don't care on this site if people like my sentiments concerning the twi. It was not twi but the folks that I shared life with. Gosh, how we loved each other. That is what I take away with me from twi. Yip, skip, dip there was haughty, egotistical abuse from "leadership." People may say, "Oh, but that commaraderie, that love, is fake because it was built upon VPW and/or PFAL. Can't be, I love all, with a passion to this day. Maybe, the Love of our Father supercedes all. Maybe, He placed us in The Body where it pleased Him. So, what are you looking for Mr. Lingo? Validation on this site? Sorry, you ain't gonna get it. Neither would Jesus Christ if He was ever associated with twi. There now.....get it?............. -
God's foreknowledge/predestination
kimberly replied to Watered Garden's topic in Doctrinal: Exploring the Bible
So, solly chooly, Raf, you did not get the analogy.....from darkness to life.....development.....there is nothing new under the sun.....21st century that. WG thank you for that. Holy moly, I am sick of people blaming God for what they have chosen. God is not in control of us. We are in control of us. His Word is so explicit.....if you choose this.....if you choose that..... -
au contraire, the Lord never loses. What is that verse about being preached in contention.

Oopsie doopsie me.....I forgot to mention.....if we think we can lose our salvation then we don't understand adoption. Not only do we have seed but to fortify that we are adopted. He can't take that back. He set it up. He is smarter than us. You know, like, smarter than people. Ooohhh, He can not change seed. Father set it up in Genesis to make it permanent and to let us know. Father said....Seed is so real that we plant it with the words we speak. Proverbs attests to that. He said it and it is so. That is why we confess with our mouth the Lord Jesus. To believe and say otherwise is to say that our works is greater than the works of Jesus Christ.

mstar, I was so excited by the news you posted (preserving the field) that I typed your name into my password to log in. Hardy har, laugh, guffaw. I said, WHAT???!!! That is my password!!! Then I realized what I did!!!! I am silly with glee that the field will be preserved. I still have the opportunity to kiss the ground. I have a picture of the boys standing in front of the new stadium with the Yankee Stadium letters on it. I wonder what kind of ceremony they will have tomorrow. Who will be the biggies of the past that close it down? After a conversation with a friend I have kind of a pool going on... who will throw the first pitch out at the new stadium and who will catch it? Has this been decided and I am behind the times and uninformed? That is a strong possibility. I think the oldest living Yankee players should be the ones. Would Yogi Bera have to do both? To Oldies... my son played a week long tournament 3 years ago in Cooperstown. We went to the Hall of Fame. Now talk about feeling like being on hallowed ground... When we walked into the Hall Of Fame room I have never seen 12 year old boys so quiet and respectful. They actually whispered to each other. It was an unforgettable experience. Still to this day when we start to talk about it we just sort of hhhmmmm off in thought. No words to convey the emotion of being there.

B-O-D-Y of Christ.....Thanks be unto God Almighty who is keeping up with all the body parts coming and going any given day, moment or second according to sin, everlasting, eternal, etc., etc., etc.

And we give a gee golly whiz whinky dinky what TWI is doing? There are so many other more worthy causes to trouble ourselves with. Seriously, get a job, read a book, or better yet.....get involved in your community and help somebody. Obviously, some have too much time on their hands. Hmmm, busybodies.....seems like I have read that somewhere...... While we are poking fingers we could use those fingers and hands to help somebody.

Friday, the boys were in the doting arms of Aunt Betty. God Bless Aunt Betty. She took care of her southern babies. They pulled up to Yankee Stadium on Saturday and called me. "Oh, my gosh mom we are here!!!" I said call me when you are in the stadium. They called me, breathless. I was in tears. Yeah, they made it!!! They are THERE!!! They had the time of their life to say the least. They made memories. I have many pictures of them. My favorite is the two of them with the field right behind them. Usually, these two red headed tornadoes make funny gestures during picture taking. But the look on their face revealed a dream come true. I think they thought it too disrespectful to be otherwise. I can tell you this...they came back different. They were awe struck. They felt like they were a part of history. Thank you all for your kind words, interest and input.

I just returned home from the Amtrak station. I am sending my 25 and 15 year old boys to the Yankees game on Saturday. They will travel to my aunt's house in NJ. She lives only an hour from the stadium. Her neighbor has season passes. So all four will leave early Saturday morning (he drives to the games), tailgate and see the game. This trip was to be our family vacation earlier in the summer but a near fatal accident in the family changed all that. I was bound and determined to keep my promise to our youngest son that he would see Yankee Stadium before it was torn down. At times it looked like there was no way to work out the trip. I was to go with him but now that school has started it was not possible. My 25 year old has never been to Yankee Stadium either. I am a very sentimental person and the thought of not seeing and experiencing one of the greatest monuments that make America what it is troubled me. Ahhh, I think of the feet that have graced that ground that makes it hallowed. Seriously, if I entered Yankee Stadium I think I would fall to my knees in reverence. My boys feel the same and are going to experience this together. They will have this with them always. Of all the places we have been, I feel like my boys are on THE trip of a lifetime. And they will show their grandchildren the ticket stub and say, "Yep, I was there." It was funny when my son told the school he was going to miss a couple of days they were displeased and wanted to know why. When he explained to the principal the attitude changed. "Well, son you have to do this. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity." I gave him a few extra bucks to get something for the principal. Thanks for letting me share this.
