Eyes, I've finished your book. It was a fascinating and thought provoking read. I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to know more about the culture it OT times and how it relates to writings in the OT. You did a marvelous job of researching it and presenting your findings in a logical, easy to follow, manner. I agree with many of your conclusions. A few I'm not yet "on the same page" with you. That is not to say I reject your conclusions, just that I would need to do more study on my own to accept or reject them. Until then, we can enjoy a difference of opinion. Great job! Can't wait to read your future publications. And remember, I get an autograph of this one at the next BBQ! PurpleDays

Happiest of Birthdays, dear friend! So our buns aren't as tight and our breasts aren't as perky, and the skin on our chins makes us look like a turkey... What was flat is now round. There's no need to be modest! We've matured from "young girl" into "middle-aged goddess!" Happy Birthday! Enjoy the last year of your "Lordy Forties". Look forward to welcoming you to the "Nifty Fifties" club next year! PD

Just saw this, so glad I didn't miss the podcast. Have missed our Sunday afternoon chats via talkshoe. Have my calendar marked for this Friday, so hope I can tune in for the "try out". What time are you aiming for on Saturday? And I need directions again, too. Thanks! PurpleDays

Rascal and Stephen, Hearty congrats! Way to go! Nathan and I are so proud of you. Was good "seeing" all you again in the picture. We're looking forward to our next visit to the "farmhouse". Here's a critter from your creek - looks like he can kick, too! PurpleDays (aka Suda)

Sudo and I just left an award's assembly at our son's high school. Nathan received honors for the highest average in 11th grade Chemistry and 11th grade English. We are proud as punch, as is Nathan. All those long (and for me, torturous) nights studying the periodic tables, memorizing the formulas for the composition of elements, learning the number of charges and whether they were positive or negative, etc. paid off in spades! And though I have never had a chemistry class, I know a wee bit about the subject myself now. Giving an oral report has always been pretty easy for Nathan. But he has struggled with written reports for years. This year it finally clicked for him, and his reports have been amazing. Where I used to be involved from the intial brainstorming all the way through to finding a paper clip to fasten the final report together, I now just hear what the topic is, get to learn the interesting facts he discovers in researching it, and proofing the final report. I rarely have any suggestions or corrections as they are so well thought out and written. Another great advantage of being a parent, you learn so much from them, and get to share in the joys of their achievements. Thanks for letting me brag! PurpleDays (celebrating today, for sure!)

Thanks for the birthday greetings. Been a swell day, but hectic. Moved one child to her new apartment in Oxford, and took the other one car shopping, along with the usual day to day stuff. Think I'm gonna love 53 - especially considering the alternative. PurpleDays (now which cabin on the cruise ship is mine? and what's the drink of the day?)

My guess is she has some kind of flesh colored glove she is wearing. Notice it always takes two hands to retrieve the little red hankie. Purple

I'll be praying with you Psalmie. There are advantages and costs to every situation. You might want to make a T chart. Draw a line down the middle of a sheet of paper. On one side, list the advantages to Issac. One the other, the disadvantages. Then give the advantages and disadvantages of this situation to your family (Ben, you, your husband, as well as Issac). That may help you see the situation in greater detail. PurpleDays

Exceptional. Very fitting for the 8th anniversary of GSC. Great truth stated succinctly and honestly from a loving, Godly heart. Thanks to both of you. PurpleDays
