  1. Here is how this thread sounds to me,I found this in Door Magazine In a surprise announcement earlier today, Focus on the Family ended their long, tumultuous association with the LORD GOD, a.k.a. Adonai, due to what they are describing as His hidden gay agenda. Spokesman Lad Eesman claims that from Genesis to Revelation there is a shocking emphasis on the goodness of the whole creation. Eesman gave the following statement to the press: "Those verses in Genesis 1 that keep repeating 'God saw it, and it was good'—that's the original source of this New Age baloney, 'It's All Good.' Well, it's not. It's mostly evil masquerading as good, and that's what we're here to protect … I mean to stop. We're here to protect the family. "The first strong recognition of this deity's gay sympathies came during staff Bible study about a week ago when we were confronted with the rainbow as the sign of God's covenant with Noah. A freakin' rainbow! And what kind of a guy's name is Noah, anyway? How can we born again Christians overlook this? God is omniscient and omnipotent, for Pete's sake. He didn't have to use a symbol that He knew would eventually represent gays. "As we began to discuss this hidden agenda, we also realized that God has always identified with the same symbol that outed that gay Teletubby—the triangle. It's supposed to mean that God is 3 in 1, but really, how far is that from the gay idea of "unity in diversity"? Is it an accident that God is triune? God could be 2 in 1, or 4 in 1, but instead God is a trinity, represented by what we now know is the gay triangle. No, we're not exactly sure why triangles are gay, but we don't have to be sure to know when we find truth. Gay triangles probably have something to do with the Greeks—they were big mathematicians and homosexuals. And we all know that the New Testament was written in Greek. We can't deny these homosexual affiliations any longer. "For us, the most painful part of this breakup with God is that it has not come sooner. If we hadn't been so distracted with religion we could have paid a lot more attention to the homosexual forces causing the breakdown of society all around us. While we have been leading Bible studies, the Hostess Corporation has been blatantly producing Twinkies, Ho-Hos, Zingers, and Ding-Dongs—all clearly designed to desensitize our children to gayness. Yesterday, with tears in his eyes, James Dobson admitted that he had given big, pink, puffy Hostess Snoballs to his own children. Today Focus on the Family is sickened that through our neglect we have willingly participated in giving homosexual junk food to children. We have not even begun to fight Froot Loops, the ubiquitous 'sprinkles,' and all those talking Veggies with no pants." After these remarks, a Focus on the Family staffer quietly led the highly agitated Mr. Eesman out of the room. Journalists standing closest to the exit claimed to hear him whispering, "the horror … the horror." Dr. Dobson was not available for comment, other than to issue a printed statement, faxed to both Fox News and legitimate media outlets: "We are calling on all Christians to close ranks—figuratively speaking— and join with us to oppose both activist judges and this shocking homosexual agenda. And for you liberals out there, I'll draw your attention to Galatians 3:28—'There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is neither male nor female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus.' You will notice that nowhere in that verse does it say 'neither straight nor gay.'"
  2. It happened the other day. I had "The Talk" with my son. He was heading out the door for a Bible study with some new friends. "Hey, pal. Can we talk?" "Dad, I gotta meet the guys." "I know, I know. It'll just be a minute." We sat down at the breakfast table. I looked at him tapping his feet impatiently and saw myself at fifteen. Oh boy, wish I had jotted down an outline. "You see son, religious groups are made differently. You have two different kinds." "Dad," he interrupted, "are you going to talk to me about sects?" The boy had caught his old man off guard. "Well … yes." "Mom already talked to me about this." "She did." "Yeah." That Carol. Always on top of things. I meant to have "The Talk" years ago, but it was never the right time. To be perfectly honest, I was waiting for him to broach the subject with the typical, child-like question "Where do heresies come from?" "Did she talk to you about certain groups, like the International Church of Christ? Because those people only have one thing on their minds. They'll make you feel special, but they just want to get you in the water." "Daaad." "Do you have protection?" His cheeks reddened and he nodded. "What kind." He held out his Student Bible. "N.I.V." "Do you know how to use it?" "Yeah." I put my hand on his shoulder. "Son, unsafe sects can ruin a man. I know it's all very new and exciting, but it's better to wait for the real thing. One day you'll find the right group of folks to worship with, believe me." "Dad, I know this stuff already. If someone asks me about sects, I'll just say 'I'm not that kind of a believer.'" "But what if some really nice folks pull out a few verses that makes it seem like you have to have some special knowledge for salvation?" "I'll just say 'know means no.'" I felt a load lifted off my heart and shoulders. "Good boy. I'm proud of you, son. Just remember, if you ever have any questions, just ask me. Okay?" "Okay. Can I go now?" "Sure." He was halfway out the door when he turned back around. "There was one thing. These new guys are really into evangelism. After I graduate, I'm thinking about taking a missionary position." Oh boy.

  5. That is cool! I had a boss who would always bring his dog to work because it was a therapy dog in training, but the higher ups suspened him for doing so because Borders has a cafe and was concerned about law suits. It was really neat while it lasted, the dog would come to meetings and stay in the mgrs office(didn't hurt anyone) Eventually the guy quit and got a job in search and rescue with his great dog (and now has 7 dogs) We have 4 Labs, my husband is a correctional officer for the state of Maryland and has adopted two yellow labs that didn't cut the test(failed their drug test of sniffing out drugs that is) We also have a choc. lab and black lab , we LOVE our dogs.

    Man wear diapers

 Feds say man wore diaper full of heroin NEW ORLEANS (AP) --. faces up to 40 years in prison after he was found cruising down the highway with more than 200 grams of heroin in the diaper he was wearing, federal officials said. , of New Orleans was charged Friday by a federal grand jury. He got in trouble June 3 in St. John the Baptist Parish, north of New Orleans, when sheriff's deputies pulled over the car he was in for a traffic violation, according to court documents. The deputies and Drug Enforcement Agency special agents got permission to search the car, and a drug sniffing dog alerted them to the car's passenger side. The occupants were ordered out of the car, and patted down. During the pat-down, "officers felt a large hard object in the pants area on," according to a news release from the U.S. Attorney's office. told officers he was wearing a diaper and when they asked if there was anything in the diaper, he "shook his head affirmatively." Officers then removed a package containing about 257 grams of heroin from the diaper.
  17. The doctor said I needed to see a christian therapist since this was a cult issue and I never had exit counceling. I began to see a christian therapist twice a week,he was new at this I learned later and I was his first crack at a cult/dissociative dissorder.(great!) Everything I learned in session I would go and have a session with my teacher who taught Precept Classes. She was the LTC. wife and a very patient and wise person, Precept classes helped more I think because they really researched the TRUTH of the word of God (unlike twi special prefabricated pfal class, designed for us all to come out like a cookie cutter assembly. I am just saying this helped me,I didn't belong to the Precept(Kay Arthur )Ministries I didn't belong to a church either. When I did go to a church I went on base at Main Post Chapel, but mostly more than anything I would run! Yes..run..the doctors at Duke Medical Center said I would need at least 4yrs of therapy 7 at the most! No medication was prescribed.so running did help I think ..but I had to change my way of looking at life. I needed BALANCE . Christian therapy was like pulling teeth!, So after 2 yrs I stopped therapy,we retired from the Army and moved to the mountains of Western Maryland. this doesn't end here but it does end for Army life. I continued therapy 5 more years but NOT christain therapy,I was hospitalized one more time my children grew up and are very balanced,we are non church going folks but believe in God more than people think we do. I like to think we keep it REAL!

  20. Tell me what you see in these ink blots. That was the question,it had been a long two days,I sat there as distingueshed as I could in a hospital gown and sponge shoes, anything I could hurt myself with was taken away from me. I was on a suicide watch and my mind was racing on how to get out of here, before this i was in the quiet room, drooling and passed out on the floor of a rubber room after a shot of thorazin. With every ink blot it was something spiritual,it was an angel holding a sword..it was a cross it was Jesus..I was an emotional wreck and sometimes I word see an ink blot card and just cry..........couldn't even speak I was so torn. But,this is what I needed in my case to get real with myself,I could hide this around my kids but in this place alone was how I really felt and why I knew I needed help. I finally got out of that testing room and was served dinner at which point I fell asleep with food still in my mouth. I was far far away in a place I didn't think I would ever get out of,in a place where wanting to simply understand the bible and have meaning in life went haywire! Spiritual thinking was ALWAYS on. but in my case this was not a good thing.
