The Way International should be classified a GERM
cheranne replied to cheranne's topic in About The Way
Who knew 30 yrs down the road I would be warning people of The "ministry"(cough!)I so would have given my life for to serve. I believe now this whole ball of wax was a system designed just like a terrorist designs a chemical that can wipe out a target he desires. In this case the target was young, mostly middle class, white, educated people, and the Jesus movement at the time just gave it that extra bonus round. It was a whole ball of wax allright...like collected ear wax so impacted in your brain we were deaf to anything else! Let him that has ears hear. -

(I left three times) The second time myself and another wow who left the field(broke our vows Oh my Lions,Tigers and Bears!!! We both just vanished in midday after everyone went to work in our new Way Home(we felt like the outcast like the shunned amish or something)so we went to a truck stop in Phoneix with as little stuff as possible with a goal to get to Florida. We ended up in San Diego first, almost got killed in L.A. and hitchhiking in the 3a.m. is not good for two pretty young girls(don't try that!)lots of gangs there and a truck driver rescued us out of nowhere(I thought he was an angel) An Indian man who never said a word just motioned to come and get in as a low rider approached us. Kinda still freaks me out a little writing this. He took us to the next place that was safe and I don't know where we were but hitched a ride with some circus people(that was just weird)in a back of a old pick up thru the valley, took turns keeping watch and ended up in san diego. There she knew an old friend and we mostly just party(ied)for the next three weeks, thought of joining the Navy(long story short we ended up in Long Island New York and joined the Army. -
I am sorry to see your still in a waybrain mentality,it's a disease we all had at one time and takes years to heal, don't add fuel to the fire it WILL destroy you. But ,if you insist on living in the artificial oasis of The Way International have fun chasing your tail in circles like a crazy dog getting nowhere.

Germs as weapons to be considered effective and usable must maintain four attributes. 1.Be within the economic means of the users. (the classes we took,if you don't have the money well..just believe God. If you can't get it your NOT taking it. 2.The weapon has to be capable of reaching a desired TARGET(an intended target not just any old target, not the homeless, the people usually over 30yrs old set in there ways,or the children in 3rd world countrys that need help. No this intended target was a germ warfare (symbolically speaking ofcourse)but seriously it HURT many many people spiritually, emotionally, finacially and brought even some to their own DEATH. 3. It has to cause collatral damage,a weapon that kills both sides just creates no effect for the maker of the germ. 4.Finally,the germ has to result in desired effects, the outcome of its intent. Ususally death(spiritual darkness to me is death) (the U.S. Code and the FBI define terrorism as...the unlawful use of force or violence against persons or property to intimidate or coerce a government, the civilian population,or any segment thereof, in furtherance of political or social objectives.)

i believed it all(hazy on the SIT part at first)but it was what I believed my calling at the "tender" age of 18 yrs old. Who knew 30 yrs down the road I would be warning people of The "ministry"(cough!)I so would have given my life for to serve. I believe now this whole ball of wax was a system designed just like a terrorist designs a chemical that can wipe out a target he desires. I can say that I feel stonger for having gone throught the lost years,I have learned to love,to trustagain and forgive but I am still learning and their is a fine line in forgiveness and things coming to justiceand brought to light like the abuse The Way International brought to many many people and continues toharm people. The passages of lifes journeys will alway stay a light even when it seems dark, those are OUR shiftingshawdows not Gods because in him there are NO shifting shadows for He is Light. He never leaves us or forsakes us. For each person its a step by step personal process of development in His time and in His ways which are NOT ours. The pure LIGHT of the word(NOT WAY TEACHING)

I slipped out gracefully only because I didn't want to be tracked down(like I was before) the moment I got off the plane and came back to Oklahoma the phone rings and its Limb of DC(trying to pursuade me too come back and not break my VOW(2nd yr wow) Okay then.....no not so much(at that time I was still in the"ministry cult thing" just didn't want to be a wow(again)and live in the ghetto of DC (and definetly not a twig leader)where our wow family was just about as lucky as the homeless people we witnessed too(only sometimes THEY had food to eat) Oh You got me started now on this wacked out WOW thing,...ha Oh we looked pretty and smiled alot running around DC with our marked up bibles saving the world when we hardly could afford rent in the ghetto between the FIVE of us. and sponsering Way Corp and abs....what a joke, at least when I left the wow field the family got split up to better housing, and probably ate dinner every other day and had deodorant and toothpaste! (If your reading this you guys..it was never YOU it was TWI! You guys had heart!!) -

I wondered if being LOST is a type of infirmirty(in the maze of The Way)we were some sick puppies, the lost sheep, the lost sonthe lost coin...the lost soul.Reminded me of ones lost at sea awaiting a rescue IF they survive the elements, thought of Psalms 107!Thought of a child in a home lost in ones self(because of whatever reason, child abuse ,lousy parents, overworked parents) The image of being lost in your minds eye takes time to become a reality in cult life, even years after you know your not lostbut safe and free away from you can STILL smelll it in the wind like an approuching rain storm where you prepare to takecover. When you have been in a survival type state of mind you NEVER forget. How to escape spiritually speaking is ON. Yeah, that Post Trauma Stress we all probably have that, and the flip side of the coin is (IF you seek Jesus Christ) as yourLord is The Bible.hmmmm..it is complicated like a daily workout, bodybuilding and being able to get to the point of running up the stadium stairs without breathing Hard. Its a thing many local churches do not understand about people who were in The Way International,(not all of us I supposeso you know if this is written for you or not)To get to a point you can lift this over your head and say Yes,I am a survivour of a cult that almost broke me! It was coming home to Jesus like the lost sheep and having broke my legs so I would not run off again. Broke not outof cruelness but because when they were broke originally they healed wrongly. Its a surgery of the HEART

Even though The Way International is losing ground(thank God)there are many many people still lockedin the fist of error, some people will never talk about it but it is there,in nightmares and lost youth and brokenrelationships with family. I make light of things much of the time, but the flip side to that is really serious buisness and I don't likethe thought of people being abused spiritually by this so called"ministry" I thought when getting involved back in the lae 70's,how could you go wrong learning about the bible,BUTlots of twisted scripture and legalistic money hungry people will do ANYYHING even remind you that"the love of money is the root of all evil" There are so many scriptures vpw taught us ,that were just so hypocritically what he was doing for years.I don't blame people for getting out of this cult maze and never wanting to have anything to do with christianity(it's a real head ache) and not to mention spiritual warfare that want you to keep that WAY BRAIN!

<H1 class=blog_title>Latino quote of the day</H1><H3 class=blog_tease>"Silence gives consent. If we don't speak, they win. On the battlefield they put our fingers behind the trigger, but when we come home we don't have the same rights as the rest of America. I'm speaking for all of us now. I'm standing on two strong legs, and I will be heard." — San Antonio retired Marine Staff Sgt.in an interview with The Advocate magazine in July of last year. On Arguing Properly By Bartholomew Maxillian Klick ONLINE EXTRA April 2005 The room fills with the mist of cigarette smoke, and the poker cards have long been abandoned. Your other friends are doing something more interesting. Only one remains, and it boils down to something you've done, what, seventy thousand times? Yes, you're arguing about religion. He can't make you believe that god doesn't exist, and you can't make him see the light. You're both going around and around with the circular logic, cutting each other off, and making bold comments about your respective mothers. There's your first problem. Insults are a no-no. Truly religious people need to lead by example. No, not like your old Pastor back in Tennessee who shot out your tires if you missed church on Sunday. I am talking about making your argument a concrete one that can't be argued with. Be noble. Research your friend's point of view from non-partisan sources; e.g., if your friend is Buddhist, "The Catholic Report on the Heathen Buddhists" is probably not a good place to start. Go pick up a copy of Tricycle or one of their Suttas and look at it. God won't strike you down for educating yourself, despite what you've been taught. God likes it when his creations get along. Read it. Take notes. That's the first step. If he's an Atheist, find out what kind. If he takes an Eastern Religion, or an Island Religion, look into it before making assumptions. Very few Vudun practitioners actually use voodoo dolls, and most Buddhists do not worship Buddha. If he's from a different church, get some materials from him and read them. If he's a Jehovah's Witness, stop inviting him over, he's not really your friend.

Bam Bam is back "I've come here to help spread the fire," Bentley says. "BAM! BAM!" Four or five BAMs later Bentley utters an ear-shattering KABOOM in Miller's direction and the Denton preacher falls over backwards, shaking and twitching like a slab of bacon that's been thrown on a hot griddle. Bentley goes on for another two hours about his divine medical miracles, supernatural surgeries, religious root canals and raising of 30 people from the dead, including one poor soul who asked his family to play his revival at the funeral and started knocking on the inside of the coffin. Unfortunately, there won't be any such miracles performed this night. No one in a wheelchair is pushed to the stage. No cancer survivors walk up the stairs to thank Bentley for kicking the carcinoma right out of them or a recently departed zombie for returning him to the land of the living. Not one crutch-clutching crowd member hobbles to the stage to get the holy head-butt from Bentley himself. Truth be told, I was a little disappointed. So were a lot of other people who frankly had more of a right to be than I did. William Dembski, a research professor of philosophy at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, attended Bentley's Denton revival with his wife and their twin 7-year-old boys, one of whom is autistic, at the behest of his friends who told him Bentley had the healing touch. He couldn't even get his family down to the main floor to pray. "Ushers twice prevented that from happening," Dembski said in the Baptist Press. "They noted that he was not in a wheelchair. . . . People with needs were shortchanged. It seemed that power, prestige and money (in that order) were dominating motives behind the meeting. Minimal time was given to healing, though plenty was devoted to assaulting our senses with blaring insipid music and even to Bentley promoting and selling his own products (books and CDs)." Just before the revival reaches its third hour, Bentley asks for an offering. Badge-clad volunteers roam up and down the aisles with white plastic buckets while parents and adults whip out their checkbooks or pull some big bills out of their wallets, all of which would go to Miller's ministry, Bentley claimed. By that time it’s obvious there’s gonna be no carcinoma-kicking, so most of the contributors were probably just showing their gratitude for the absence of Lee Greenwood music. http://' target="_blank">

So heres some more food for thought,The Big Cheese (vpw)sits at the throne. From studies in rats it has been known for a while that certain cells in the hippocampus can encode for the location of the animal during a maze task. These are called "place cells" because, in the most robust examples, the cells are active when and only when the animal is at a single location in the maze or task field - while other cells are exclusively active at other locations in the maze. and friends repeated this type of experiment with a few variations. First, they recorded activity from multiple hippocampal cells at once (called ensemble recording) and ran the rats through portions of a very simple circular track several times. Thus, instead of a location in the maze being linked to the activity of one cell in the hippocampus, locations were linked to temporal activity patterns distributed over several cells - unique temporal patterns that were confirmed through many repetitions of the same trial in the maze. Second (the neat part), when they observed the activity in the same cells while the animals were sleeping, they found that the unique patterns of hippocampus activity seen in the maze were *replayed during REM sleep*. Were the rats really dreaming about their day in the lab? That much is not known (and, frankly, were I a rat I *know* I'd be dreaming about sex,) but what this experiment does is lend support to a relatively old theory that hippocampal activity during REM sleep is responsible for memory encoding - a theory that has not had much experimental support so far, but is none-the-less very intuitive and attractive to some neuroscientists. The original article is "Temporally structured Replay of Awake Hippocampal Ensemble Activity during Rapid Eye Movement Sleep", in the journal Neuron, volume 29, pp 145-56.

yes ,there have been accidents and thats the risk, life is FULL of risks,a bee sting can kill some people. My husband was in 82nd Airborne Skydived for 20 yrs,had 1 bad accident, and their are a whole lot of soldiers with broken legs from landing wrong or in trees,One Golden Knight lost "both legs" in a collision with another skydiver,he now still jumps with prostatic limbs. There are always risks, gotta live.
