Holy Men and The Bear A priest, a Pentecostal preacher, and a Rabbi all served as chaplains to the students of Northern Michigan University in Marquette. They would get together two or three times a week for coffee and to talk shop. One day, someone made the comment that preaching to people isn't really all that hard. A real challenge would be to preach to a bear. One thing led to another, and they decided to do an experiment. They would all go out into the woods, find a bear, preach to it, and attempt to convert it. Seven days later, they all came together to discuss their experience. Father Flannery, who had his arm in a sling, was on crutches, and had various bandages on his body and limbs, went first. 'Well', he said, 'I went into the woods to find me a bear. And when I found him, I began to read to him from the Catechism. Well, that bear wanted nothing to do with me and began to slap me around. So I quickly grabbed my holy water, sprinkled him and, Holy Mary Mother Of God he became as gentle as a lamb. The bishop is coming out next week to give him first communion and confirmation.' Reverend Billy Bob spoke next. He was in a wheelchair, had one arm and both legs in casts, and had an IV drip. In his best fire-and-brimstone oratory, he claimed, 'WELL, brothers, you KNOW that we don't sprinkle! I went out and I FOUND me a bear. And then I began to read to my bear from God's HOLY WORD! But that bear wanted nothing to do with me. So I took HOLD of him and we began to wrestle. We wrestled down one hill, UP another and DOWN another until we came to a creek. So I quickly DUNKED him and BAPTIZED his hairy soul. And just like you said, he became as gentle as a lamb. We spent the rest of the day praising Jesus.' The priest and the reverend both looked down at the rabbi, who was lying in a hospital bed. He was in a body cast and traction with IVs and monitors running in and out of him. He was in really bad shape. The Rabbi looked up and said, "Looking back on it, circumcision may not have been the best way to start."

I had sleep apnea.had the little machine cpap(always woke up with it in my hamd or on top of my hair! So..had the operation(take the mud flap out of your throat that little bell thing and some tonsiles and it is a bloody "painful" operation! You can't talk for three weeks! Really difficult for me(haha)and I am overweight so that doesn't help either but, neither did the operation. I still snore like a bear. Good thing hubby works third shift! If I sleep on my stomach I don't snore.

August was always a tough month for me because I knew all those years that the Rock of Ages was going on and I would love to see old friends. Now I guess it no longer exists and most likely most of my friends are out of The Way(I HOPE)but sometimes in thoughts and dreams it still gets you(and that is to be expected just like a veteran has thoughts about wartime and so forth. I just hated that every August new wows would go out all light hearted and ready to save the world (very green in there knowledge of TWI) as the Old wows would come in all ragged and worn out or just thinking maybe IF I only had a differant wow family, ordoes "god" have a calling for me to do something else in The WaY International(No He doesn't) You never heard that did you or hey God wants you too go back to college and get your degree, and go home and get along with your "earthly family" Nope..every August it was like we were mule skinners, saddle up move em out and go make this so called "ministry" more MONEY MONEY MONEY! so,I was thinking of this old song I thought I would jot down(for all you 70's generation people you will remember) Hello darkness, my old friend, Ive come to talk with you again, Because a vision softly creeping, Left its seeds while I was sleeping, And the vision that was planted in my brain Still remains Within the sound of silence. In restless dreams I walked alone Narrow streets of cobblestone, neath the halo of a street lamp, I turned my collar to the cold and damp When my eyes were stabbed by the flash of A neon light That split the night And touched the sound of silence. And in the naked light I saw Ten thousand people, maybe more. People talking without speaking, People hearing without listening, People writing songs that voices never share And no one deared Disturb the sound of silence. Fools said i,you do not know Silence like a cancer grows. Hear my words that I might teach you, Take my arms that I might reach you. But my words like silent raindrops fell, And echoed In the wells of silence And the people bowed and prayed To the neon God they made. And the sign flashed out its warning, In the words that it was forming. And the signs said, the words of the prophets Are written on the subway walls And tenement halls. And whisperd in the sounds of silence.

OK...I know you all know the tune....sing along!!!! Julie Andrews Turns 69, this is funny. . .. To commemorate her birthday , actress/vocalist, Julie Andrews made a special appearance at Manhattan 's Radio City Music Hall for the benefit of the AARP. One of the musical numbers she performed was 'My Favorite Things' from the legendary movie 'Sound Of Music'. Here are the lyrics she used: > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > >> > > > > > > > > (Sing It!) - If you sing it, its especially hysterical!!! Botox and nose drops and needles for knitting, Walkers and handrails and new dental fittings, Bundles of magazines tied up in string, These are a few of my favorite things. Cadillacs and cataracts, hearing aids and glasses, Polident and Fixodent and false teeth in glasses, Pacemakers, golf carts and porches with swings, These are a few of my favorite things. When the pipes leak, When the bones creak, When the knees go bad, I simply remember my favorite things, And then I don't feel so bad. Hot tea and crumpets and corn pads for bunions, No spicy hot food or food cooked with onions, Bathrobes and heating pads and hot meals they bring, These are a few of my favorite things. Back pain, confused brains and no need for sinnin', Thin bones and fractures and hair that is thinnin', And we won't mention our short shrunken frames, When we remember our favorite things. When the joints ache, When the hips break, When the eyes grow dim, Then I remember the great life I've had, And then I don't feel so bad. > > > > > > &g! t; > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > >> > (Ms. Andrews received a standing ovation from the crowd that lasted over four minutes and repeated encores. Please share Ms. Andrews' clever wit and humor with others who would appreciate it

Angels Watching Over Me(thats a good song but I can't post it for some reason on this site) Amy Grant sings it. When my kids were little and getting on the school bus I would always pray with them every morning and for an angel to be riding on top of the school bus! They would just imagine an angel riding on the bus and when there was a storm there would be some on top of the house. They still believe in Angels. I know I always will. Angel food cake all around!

Nice! I love the sound of the church bells in the background and the little children chasing pigeons and that guy in the suit isn't too bad either. Reminds me of the people in San Antonio, most very friendly spanish people and have respect for older people.

No problem, but I think it is intresting(look at this) Dream-mind associative thinking isn’t always so easy. The trigger side of the equation is in the unconscious mind, active in dreaming, but not within conscious awareness. All we get in conscious mind is the associated target image (if we remember it upon awakening). Learning the many limbs and branches of associative thinking helps in thinking backwards from the dream image to its trigger thought, idea, feeling, etc. Noticing the various limbs and branches led me to the “associative thinking tree” analogy. An analogy is one form of associative thinking where a whole series of features of similarity exists between two seemingly unconnected things, different domains. The “associative thinking tree” consists of: Roots – Memories – personal and collective – in the dreamer’s mind. Trunk – Associative thinking process – associating, connecting, linking two items from different domains on the basis of some feature(s) of similarity. Limbs – Areas or types of associations: Life Experiences, Qualities and Properties, Words, Figures-of-speech, Psychological Components, Family, Other People Branches – Offshoots within the given limb’s area (two examples). Life Experiences: Personal – Cultural – Universal Qualities and Properties: Shape – Location – Action – Function – Change or alteration – Feeling tone (similar to “The Ladder of Abstraction” used to teach children to write descriptively). Leaves – Individual dream images Drawing from sources ranging from Artemidorus, The Bible, and Cayce to Zeller, dream examples for each of the branches are available. Incidentally, comic-strip examples show that cartoonists use associative thinking to illicit humor.

this is what I thought....about The Way thru the years of recovery(been out a long long time now so I can have a voice to speak) As the poison began to seep she writes...the glutinous sea pulled the people of twi under ice to a place so dark, where the primal scream cannot be heard,... for there is no one their to hear it. Meaning to go i the direction of the promised land..the wind of change took us to the POINT OF NO RETURN. The navigator vpw and the board of trustees laughing all the way to the bank! As the slaves sat(sit)ROWING THE WHITE WASHED SHIP. Mothership-intenational hqs 1.way corps,2.way family corp,3.way college,4.wow ambassador5.way productions the prettiest ship of all,to motivate the slaves as the row. Those who held the handwhips. The way corp(but it was a loving hand whip if their could be one) Their destination all these ships was word over the world via pfal, nonstop. live or die! So with bare essentails on their backs they row and blinders on their eyes never weary, never looking back. Stopping at ports along the way for fresh blood,a new supply to row the white washed ships where the glutinous sea would swallow u up to under ice hypothermia. IF THEY SLAVE BECAME SO WEAK THE CHAINS WERE RELEASED AND THE SLAVE WOULD BE CARED FOR BY THE HAND WHIPERS(to whip them into shape, discipline ect.. )so they could possibly come to desire to be handwhippers themselves, if the slave was to weak they'd be thrown out to sea to what appeared to them to be shark infested waters and the slave would plead to the servant of the father of lies as he longed for the slave to . The slave felt security in the chains and obeyed(not questioned leadership) BUT,WHEN THE CHAINS WERE RELEASED some slaves escaped and were able to swim ashore, but when the slave got to the island they spoke a differant language and the slave didn;t understand but felt safe. The islanders didn't see the burns on her back(HER HEART)FROM BEING WHIPPED nor the brand of twi, only when she was alone ...she would see them..she could hide them well. She still could hear them say if you walk away from this....mentally she still was not free. The slave met an islander and married him,the had children and even though the slave was a slave she NEVER EVER wasnted her children to be slaves so..she released them into the hands of the good island people and even though she didn't agree with everything they taught the slave she blended in. They began to love they slave but they never knew she was a slave and at the end of the day she would come home and almost forget that she was a slave then she'd see the scars on her back and know she wasn't their yet and the slave would cry..but nobody heard the cry of the slave, she would play music and cry but, they didn't hear the cry they would only say play more and you know so much of the word say more. But, one day someone heard the cry and it scared the slave and she felt threatened, but the slave saw Jesus in her eye and the good islander helped her and said the Lord, would heal her hurts. ... THEN the slave opened the blackbox and her wounds began to bleed and the islander put balm on the hurts and annointed them, but their were so many more slaves how would we reach them and the slave began to cry like she had never cried before. galations 5:1 for it was freedom the CHRIST SET US FREE
