Who is Heefner and Doop?

I just bought the dvd Frisbee and watched it with my 19 year old son. He said why isn't church like THAT anymore? I said I don't know that's why I don't go. I heard somewhere that vpw went and met with these young "hippies" back in the day. Lonnie did not want anything to do with The Way International(pretty smart insight back then!) I won't give the movie (documentary away)but it was good with all that flower power ,the sixties were a real turning point for so many people and I believe had it stayed a certain way and not conformed it could have been a good thing.

Yes. I did believe it in the begininng but then I didn't even have a bible growing up and it sounded great! And I must say it kept me out of trouble like a weird chemical restrain..after a while the straight jacket got really annoying..when I finally realized I wasn't really free (but that was 10 yrs after I left) the crap was always in my head(took the class tooooooooooooo many times in a short time period..wish I would not have paid so much attention!

well... i didn't leave twi because i thought it was wrong teaching. I left because they were trying to tell me who I could or should not marry,\. Then 10 years later I found it was wrong teaching(back in 92)it didn't add up. But NOW you can just google it and find out all the error in TWI. Or maybe you could before but I was kinda busy the last 25yrs raising a family.

I just wonder how knowing that this is wrong teaching ,false doctrine etc...why they (TWI) continue to sell it? Why do people continue to buy it? There is no freedom in it? Are they that spell bound ? Help me to understand it because I can see how "new' people would get lost in the smokescreeen but...the old people should have wised up long ago. So I guess the can't change the name TWI because it is still the same thing.
