  1. Classic Concentration was the reboot, but I'll give it to you. It was simply Concentration. George
  2. Another expanded clue. This show began two years after the original Price is Right. This was the last of NBC's black and white shows to convert to color, on 7 November 1966. It made NBC-TV the first all-color television network. During the original run of the show, the show reportedly gave away 512 cars, 397 boats, 1,287 domestic and foreign trips and cruises, 12 trips around the world, 857 fur coats and numerous diamonds not to mention all the travel trailers, airplanes, swimming pools, furniture and countless other items (one history on the show reported the total prize giveaway at $10 million). Hosts included Hugh Downs, Bob Clayton, and Ed McMahon. A remake, hosted by Alex Trebek, debuted in 1987 and lasted four years. Prizes were not usually cash, although, for a time, the show featured a "Money Shower," where a contestant stood in a booth under a jet of $5- to $100 bills and could keep whatever cash he could catch and pass through a small window in the booth. (Note: this segment doesn't remotely resemble the main part of the show.) The game board consisted of 30 "trilons." A trilon is short, three-sided pillar. On one side was a number; on the second side was a prize; and on the third side was part of a picture. Not a card game, but there were "Wild Cards." George
  3. Right church, wrong pew. Much more famous than Claudius. George
  4. Dolly Parton Tom Skerritt Sally Field Daryl Hannah Shirley MacLaine Dylan McDermott George
  5. I think it's a Karen Carpenter song, but I'm not sure. George
  6. I'm familiar with the song, and the lines were evocative of someone on Death Row. I MIGHT have gotten it with more lyrics, in Name That Tune) but I don't think I would have remembered that it was a Bee Gees' song. George
  7. The good news for Texas is that now that cold fronts are passing through with some regularity, the likelihood of an hurricane striking us is very low (until next season). The fronts tend to push storms off to the south and east (not much help for Florida, I'm afraid). The last hurricane to hit Texas in October was Hurricane Jerry in 1989 (Cat 1). George
  8. No. This character was a real person (and predates Pennyworth by a couple of millennia). Ciaran Hinds Rex Harrison Jeremy Sisto Timothy Dalton John Gielgud Cameron Mitchell Louis Calhern John Gavin Sean Pertwee Claude Rains Ditch Davey Karl Urban George
  9. No. Though Dalton did portray him. You have two options, here. You can pick a character (movie and/or TV) and name three actors who portrayed that character. E.g., Christopher Reeve, Brandon Routh, Henry Cavill --> Superman. Voice actors in cartoons are allowed. If no one gets it with three actors, add a few more. Alternatively, you can choose three roles portrayed by a single actor. E.g., John Nash, Jor-el, Javert --> Russell Crowe. Again, voice work is acceptable. In this case, I'm giving actor names; you must guess the character. 10. Karl headed south into Mexico: George
  11. It seems vaguely familiar. Post-1985 songs with A LOT of play might ring a bell. George
  12. I think it was actually Wood's chiropractor, and he was about six inches taller than Lugosi. "Ed Wood," starring Johnny Depp, was actually pretty good. New one soon. George
  13. Amazon Women on the Moon Rosanna Arquette S.O.B. George
  14. No, the "Pyramid" games were later. This slight addition might help: This show began two years after the original Price is Right. 15. As suspected, "Twelve" is gone. "Thirteen" now Julia: George
