  1. I thought so. He was also Zaltar in "Supergirl," which I'm sure you've seen. George
  2. The Dark Knight Morgan Freeman The Hitman's Wife's Bodyguard George
  3. Easy enough. I'm sure the song you refer to is Edelweiss. I'm not sure that Maria is that similar to Mary Poppins, but whatever. New one soon. George
  4. I might have gotten it if the title weren't in the lyrics you gave. This new one doesn't ring any bells yet. George
  5. Correct. I almost wonder if this would have been easier as a "Three Movies or Three Actors" quiz. I think the movie titles were more memorable than the roles. George
  6. Jim Carrey Peggy Sue Got Married Nicolas Cage George
  7. This one I'm sure I've heard. The last verse is in my head, but I can't think of the title or the (female) artist). George
  8. King Henry II Michael James Jack, 14th Earl of Gurney Arthur Chipping Don Quixote Robinson Crusoe Tiberius Lord Chelmsford Alan Swann Zaltar Dr. Harry Wolper Reginald ("RJ") Johnston Peter Plunkett Sir Cedric Charles Willingham Emil Saber George I KNOW WW has seen the actor in at least two of these roles.
  9. Sometimes, a wild swing is a hit. You are correct. George
  10. Steve Carell The 40-Year-Old Virgin Seth Rogen George
  11. Which also had color episodes. You are correct. I wonder how far $200 would go in the late 50's. George
  12. "Look. They need machines to fly." "What bravery. Be nice to them, my dear. Blow them a kiss." "I didn't sleep a wink last night. Do you know what it's like to hear birds singing at dawn, after you've just spend the whole night crying...?" "Blood. It's my blood. I think... maybe we'd better hire a bodyguard from now on." "I don't want a bodyguard. I want the man I fell in love with." George
  13. The main character uses a Nokia 9000 Communicator cell phone. This phone was very cutting-edge when it was introduced in 1996, as it functioned as both a handheld phone and a clamshell pocket computer, complete with a mini-QWERTY keyboard, and several built-in apps. While filming in Oxford, England, the producers had the Bodleian Library (the main library of The University of Oxford) closed to the public for several days. This caused much complaint in the University, as a large proportion of the students were studying for exams. When the main character is disguised as a long-haired artist, his accent is a passable imitation South African, specifically Capetonian. He refers to his "home in Africa" and uses the vernacular Afrikaans pronunciation of Jesus ("Yissus!") as an expletive. The star learned the accent from a South African assistant with whom he worked on his previous movie. George
  14. Dan Aykroyd Annette Benning Brent Spiner George
  15. Really??? Skipping the OBVIOUS Debra Winger, let's go with Barry Corbin War Games Matthew Broderick George
  16. In the first episode of this show, the main character's parents are named Eben and Sarah, definitely not the names of the same roles in other shows. After the first couple of seasons, all the main characters wore the same clothes in every episode, so there would not be obvious continuity errors when reusing footage. Initially the cast regulars were paid $200 per episode. They had to beg the producer to give them a $50 raise, which they got, but he didn't speak to any of them for two weeks afterwards. George
  17. King Henry II Michael James Jack, 14th Earl of Gurney Arthur Chipping Don Quixote Robinson Crusoe Tiberius Lord Chelmsford Alan Swann George
