  1. Both of my parents have been gone for several years. We had our close moments and our difficulties. I don't think my involvement in The Way made any real difference. George

    Comcast

Comcast isn't in my area (yet); but my brother (Chicago area) has Comcast cable and internet and is pleased with both. George
  3. Reminds me of "The Seventh Son" by Johnny Rivers, but I doubt that's it. George
  4. My, a bit impatient today, aren't we? It was, of course, "The Incredibles." I only saw it recently (on cable); and the opening soliloquy by Mr. Incredible cracked me up. My guess on Raf's clue: "Gone in 60 Seconds." George
  5. No matter how many times you save the world, it always seems to get back in jeopardy. George
  6. I suppose you could have given a hint. I don't think I've ever heard of "Red Dragon," though, so it wouldn't have helped me. George
  7. I don't know. I do want to point out, however, that I posted a C&W song a couple weeks ago and no one got it. Vince Vance and me: LONG story. George
  8. Loved the songs posted by Rick and Sudo, but no real idea who did them. A problem with early recordings is that the voices always seem higher-pitched thatn they should. If I HAD to guess, I'd say Rick's tune was by a man named Antoine. George
  9. "Lenin's Wedding Horse," a fine-but little-known independent film. George
  10. Blind Melon Chitlin? Actually, it sounds like an ANCIENT recording of someone playing a guitar called Lucille. George
  11. Indeed! I proposed to Lucy at a Vince Vance and the Valiants concert. I had worked it out with Vince ahead of time that he would get me on stage to sing "It's Now or Never" and then propose. She couldn't turn me down in front of thousands of people! You're up, Belle.
  12. Of course we do, Excie. We also respect your right NOT to reveal it, if you so choose. George
  13. Naw, I just listen to the oldies station all the time. Your lips excite me; let your arms invite me, For who know when we'll meet again this way? George
  14. "Saturday in the Park" by Chicago. George
  15. I thought it might be Julie Brown in "Earth Girls Are Easy"; but I googled it, and was I ever wrong! I actually did see this movie, but I didn't remember the song at all! George
  16. Yes, Laura Prepon is quite fetching. Tanya Roberts played her mom, though it wasn't a big role. They phased her out completely, though I think they brought her back last season. George
  17. Saw that coming. George Didn't see THAT one, though. Bravo, David. George
  18. Betty, CoolChef was adapting an old Richard Pryor routine. Two men are urinating off the Golden Gate Bridge at night. One braggart says, "That water's COLD!!" The other says,"Yeah. And it's DEEP, too!!" (Of course, maybe you knew that.) B) George
  19. Rick and hiway clearly have it. I'm surprised that the studio didn't change its name a few years ago. Remember Sergio Mendes and Brazil '66 (then '77, then '88, and I think they made it to '99)? George Love the new smileys!
  20. Yes, it was the theme to "That 70's Show." I think I first lost interest when Tanya Roberts left the show, but it was th departure of Topher Grace (and the soon to depart Ashton Kutcher) that was the death knell for this show. George P.S. Does anybody remember the hideous "That 80's Show" that survived about three episodes before being canned?
  21. Hey, Pirate! We got Belle back, so give us a tune, eh? George
