  1. Or, you might try comic books (though they cost about $2.00-2.50 each these days). George
  2. A textbook on elementary particle physics should keep him entranced for hours. George
  3. Hahahahahahaaaaah! :D--> :D--> :D-->
  4. Not even a guess? Well, here's another quote from the same movie: Don't you know your Dewey Decimal System?! George
  5. Congratulations! And may you have many more. And may you have many :'s. (I'm using a colon as a "little exclamation point.") George -->
  6. A bit of a derail here, but all this talk of Rico M. makes me think of his wife, Robin. I knew her in Houston before they married. She was a real sweetie and quite bright, too. It's hard to imagine that she's still either, if she puts up with the nonsense Rico's involved in. Does anybody out there know how she's doing? George P.S. Yes, Socks often has very sage words. But I would expect that from anyone who digs Green Lantern (and Cosmo the Merry Martian?)! :)-->
  7. Very touching, Shell. Even if it wasn't your story exactly, I can think of a few GS denizens whom it describes exactly. I'm sure thankful I didn't have to experience that. George
  8. A tip from columnist Dave Barry (not an exact quote, since I read it about five years ago): Unless her feet are in the stirrups and you actually see a head crowning, never even INTIMATE to a woman that she might be pregnant!! :D--> George
  9. In that case, Badgers? We don't need no stinking badgers! This is NOT a typo! George
  10. Wonderful news, Shell! I'm glad Kelly is doing well, too. --> My grandson, Jacob, was "Julia" until the moment of birth! Always have a backup plan, and don't wash ALL the baby clothes before the baby's born! George
  11. Yeah. I had a bunch of other "Amazon Women on the Moon" and "Risky Business" quotes, too. George
  12. Guys, Much as I'd like to agree with you, I can't. Yes, Sean May had a great game (26 points, 10 rebounds). But so did Luther Head (21 points, 5 rebounds, 3 steals). It takes more than one player to win a championship. Illinois beat Wisconsin-Milwaukee even though Joah Tucker scored 32 points. I'm proud of the Illini. They had a great season, a great tournament, and a fine championship game. They just got beat by a team that played better. (This time.) George

    Birthday

Happy Birthday!! And congratulations (or,rather best wishes) on your upcoming nuptials!! George
  14. Wonder Woman in the works, too. I guess DC figures that the Marvel Comics movies with MAIN heroes did well, so it's time for them to bring out the big guns, as well. I'm still waiting for Green Lantern, myself. George
  15. "Gung Ho"? George And, by the way, ChasU is a she.
  16. Great news, you guys! May you have many happy years! George
  17. 37-2. Cheers to UNC. Truly a fine team. Obviously, I'm disappointed by the outcome, but what a great game! Fighting back from a 15-point deficit to tie it in the closing minutes. The game in doubt down to the last 15 seconds. I imagine that Illinois and UNC will meet in next year's Big Ten/ACC "Shootout," so be ready for payback! In the meantime, all you Illini out there, join me in singing "Illinois Loyalty" and "Oskee-Wow-Wow": ILLINOIS LOYALTY We're loyal to you Illinois, We're "Orange and Blue," Illinois, We'll back you to stand 'Gainst the best in the land, For we know you have sand, Illinois, Rah! Rah! So crack out that ball Illinois, We're backing you all Illinois; Our team is our fame protector, On! boys, for we expect a vict'ry from you Illinois! Che-he! Che-ha! Che-ha-ha-ha! Go Illini go! Che-he! Che-ha! Che-ha-ha-ha! Go Illini go! Illinois! Illinois! Illinois! Fling out that dear old flag of Orange and Blue, Lead on your sons and daughters, fighting for you; Like men of old, on giants placing reliance, shouting defiance Oskee wow-wow! Amid the broad green plains that nourish our land, For honest Labor and for Learning we stand, And unto thee we pledge our heart and hand, Dear Alma Mater Illinois. OSKEE-WOW-WOW Old Princeton yells her Tiger, Wisconsin, her Varsity And they give the same old Rah, Rah, Rah, At each University, But the yell that always thrills me And fills my heart with joy, Is the good old Oskee-Wow-Wow, That they yell at Illinois. Os-kee-Wow-Wow, Illinois, Our eyes are all on you. Oskee-Wow-Wow, Illinois, Wave your Orange and your Blue. Rah! Rah! When the team trots out before you, Every man stand up and yell, Back the team to victory, Os-kee-Wow-Wow. Illinois. And one last tidbit for those who want to know more about Chief Illiniwek: The Chief Thanks, Illini, for a great season! :)--> George
  18. Maybe they'll just call it a tie after three overtimes! Thanks for the gracious comments, Oen. I've seen the Illini play inconsistently, too. I think the real key to their success this season has been team play. They don't usually get more than one scorer with 20+ points, but they often have four or five with 10+. George
  19. Sounds like Lake Daly (sp?). Definitely cute, and famous for her 15 minutes. George
  20. I used to listen to Dr. Price all the time right after I took PFAL (1978). Really enjoyed his stuff. I doubt he took PFAL or had the materials, though. Definitely trinitarian. Most of PFAL can be found in other sources. ;)--> George
  21. 12/20. Being a chemist helped with a couple of them. George
