  1. Darn!! I didn't even get to use "How do you know you're God?" "Simple. When I pray to Him, I find I am talking to myself." You're up, Sharon. George
  2. And incidentally, the only football game that mattered to ME was Illinois's come-from-behind (down by 20 points midway through the third quarter) to beat Rutgers in overtime! Go Illini! GO CHIEF!!! George
  3. That's assuming the by-standers could get into the car. If the car was locked, was there some OTHER trick to opening the trunk? George
  4. Since I recognized the tune, I was able to glean enough from "Yahoo!" to learn what the movie was. I didn't see it (or its remake). I do remember a pictorial of the co-star in a gentleman's magazine about 20 years ago, though. She was quite fetching, though about 50 at the time. I could understand HH's attraction! George
  5. Try this. (It's not the most recognizable line from the film. That will come later, if necessary.) I was only trying to do what's expected me. I recall as a sign of normalcy in our circle to slaughter anything that moves. George
  6. Since I'm sure Pirate would confirm it ( ;)-->), I'll move on: George
  7. Actually, no. I don't think that there's even a tape recording anywhere. Well, now that I think of it, the photographer at last year's "Thanks God I'm not a Pig" roast took a couple of short video clips while we were playing. If you think you can use that, I'll try to e-mail it. George (This was in answer to Sudo's question on the previous page. Apparently, there were about four psts in the thirty seconds it took me to type this!)
  8. I'm sure Raf is just fooling around, but I'm also sure "Pale Rider" is the movie. George
  9. I bet the vocalist in the second "Saints" version was none other than Antoine Domino. Sure glad they found him! George
  10. Pirate IS correct, of course. I was sort of on a "Julie Andrews" roll. George
  11. I'm glad. For a second, I thought it might be "Reds"! Try this one (pretty easy): George
  12. I play saxophone and clarinet in a "traditional" jazz band ('20's and '30's stuff, mostly). We have nice versions of "So Rare" and "Stranger on the Shore." (No one in our band can play the latter without thinking, "She was strange in the water, but she was...") George
  13. It appears we have "Ginger vs. Mary Ann" for a new generation! George
  14. Also, when you log in and there's a new private message, there will be a little tab at the top where it says Go, New, Find, etc. that says "New PM!" You can just click it. This also works if someone has sent you a new response on an old privet thread, as well. George
  15. Yes. It's the scene where Tom Hulce has an underage Dean Wormser's daughter at the toga party. He brings her up to his room; she passes out... Remember now? :o--> George
  16. My other guess would be "American Beauty." George
  17. Let's not forget that the song also featured prominently in "Animal House"! George
  18. I can think of two possibilities. The more obvious one is "The Rose." George
  19. Well, I HAVE been to sporting events, but I've certainly never heard these WORDS. Is this the song that has low brass playing a slow, downward chromatic scale? (Daahhhh, di-daahhhh, di-daahhh, di-dah, dun-dun) George
  20. YES, IT WAS A CORRECT GUESS, ALREADY!!! POST!!!! George
  21. I honestly haven't looked, but have you tried TWI's website? Seems a logical place to start. George
  22. Well, we're not doing a traditional Labor Day, though it may seem that way. It just happens to be my son-in-law's birthday, so we're barbecuing some shish-kabobs at our place. All that matters to me is that I get to play with my grandson! (Check the pics I've posted of "My Pal.") Since the kids' dad and stepmom have moved to Connecticut, and my son-in-law's folks are now in Chicago, we're the grandparents that get all the time with Jacob. Hee-hee-hee! :D--> George
