Sounds vaguely familiar... George
-
You are correct, of course. What if Linda refuses to accept the nomination? George

Come on, sound it out... George

Reminds me of a time (about thirty years ago) when a light ahead of me turned yellow, so I hit the brakes. The driver behind me obviously had expected me to run the light and was planning to do likewise. If he had tried to stop, he probably would have plowed into me, so he passed me and continued through the intersection. It's too bad a policeman wasn't around. I would have loved to hear the other driver explain that he didn't have time to stop before the light turned red, when the car in front of him DID! George

Well, welcome to Greasespot! George

Another toughie, Sharon! Maybe some more lines? George
-
Okay, replace the "gumdrops" with this image: Does that help? Sheesh!! George
-
Yes it was, actually! Here are two more lines, before someone actually names the film: I call them the "Rudettes." They're so far up Rudy's a$$ I can't tell where he leaves off and they begin! What the f--- is a "Chinese Downhill"? George

Honestly, I would hope it would be about respect for Mrs. W., not a slap in TWI's face. There are other avenues for that. George George don't put words in my mouth and read into this something that is not there. I highlighted the part that I thought was meant as an "in your face" to TWI. I'm sorry if that's not what you intended. George

Okay, this movie is a bit obscure. No Oscar nominations, for sure. I did, however, see it in a theater, as opposed to "Traxx." ;)--> We were small, but we were slow! George

Billy H!! I always wondered what happened to you. You were always so patient when my "musings" during PFAL were freeaking out all the grads! And, yes, haven't had a squirt since Session 1! What's the deal with "Rhino"? Something for the "Names We're Known By" thread, I suppose. George

Would this have been a movie starring Johny Depp and Orlando Bloom? George
-
"One Flew over the Cuckoo's Nest"? George I have one more guess if that isn't it.
-
I still got nothin'. I hope I haven't seen this movie, because I'd be embarrassed to forget these lines! George
-
What flavor are the gumdrops? George
-
Tom, if you know the answer, just say it! (You got the hard part, so I can't imagine you don't know the whole titile.) George
-
This is an older movie, but it should be easy to interpret: George

"Caddyshack" seems likely. George
-
Was the venue particularly smoky? Inhaling a bunch of carbon monoxide and hydrogen cyanide can leave you with a "hung-over" feeling, even if you didn't drink. George
-
"Jonny Tremain"? (Haven't seen it in forty years, so it's a wild guess.) George
-
"The Patriot"? George
-
Yes. Your go, Pirate. George

Of course, it's never been too clear how much will be left in Social Security when we'll be ready to retire, either! George

Kathy, this was "The Cage" (or, perhaps, "The Menagerie") that I wrote about earlier! Jeffrey Hunter was Captain Christopher Pike in the original pilot. He was replaced by Capt. James Tiberius Kirk in the new pilot, and the rest is history, Sadly, Hunter was dead when they made "The Menagerie," so they had another actor play a badly disfigured Capt. Pike in the "non-flashback" scenes. George
