Boy, you turn off the computer for a couple of hours and all SORTS of stuff pile up in here! Sudo, I might have recognized Randy Newman's voice even if Rick hadn't revealed it, but it was sure different from the Newman songs I'm used to. "Short People." That sort of thing. Rick, nice song. Have NO IDEA who did it. CK. I almost never watched the first show, though John Lithgow is a comic genius. The "Kiss my Grits" line was so popular, I didn't need to hear the clip. Of course, it wasn't the star of "Alice" who always said the line. Now don't make ME come over there. Keep posting clips! George

Two more from the same actor as the last quote (but not the first): Gnarly! Those guys are fags!! George

This one will probably give it away: People on Quaaludes should NOT drive cars! George

Pretty girls come a dime a dozen George (No offense, Belle, et al.)

Yes, it's "Starsky and Hutch." How about YOU taking one, WW? George

Am I hallucinating? Just what in hell is going on here? George I have a feeling WordWolf will get this, if no one else does first.

"Dirty Water" by the Standells. (Did that song actually have the F-word in it? I could never quite make out what came between "lovers' and "thieves.") George

So close! And it was the PG version. George

Obviously one of the "Lord of the Rings" films. I believe it's "Fellowship of the Ring." George

Try this, then (should be easy): George

I wouldn't worry about it Raf. What are the odds that a storm would form in the Caribbean, hang around the Yucatan, and turn northeast to devastate Florida? Oh, it happened a month ago? Never mind... George

The chorus was a dead giveaway. :) George Moony's up. (Although she didn't name the performer )

"Alien vs. Predator"? George

I believe that I referred to Marni dubbing Julie Andrews's voice in a previous post. I think I was corrected in that regard, although their voices are VERY similar. (I think I actually had an LP of "Mary Poppins" songs that Marni "covered.") Marni DID dub Audrey Hepburn's voice in "My Fair Lady." George

The problem with this exponential growth is that it assumes that everyone who hears "the Word" would pass it on to another one or two a year. If I speak the Word to one or two people a year, and they reckon me an idiot, then only about 100 people hear the Word in my lifetime. George

If I'd seen the movie, that last one would have given it away, for sure. So, I googled it. Famous movie, I just haven't seen it. George

"Fight Club"? George

Okay, so it wasn't "Good Times" (Les Bons Temps); it was my other guess. George

Well... "Movin' on up" wasn't from "Welcome Back, Kotter" it was from a spin-off of "All in the Family," which MAY be whence this tune is from. There was a similar show at the time that I think is the real source of the clue. Laissez les bons temps roulez! (N'est-ce pas?) George

Poke+caveman= "Pokemon"? George

Nutcase she may be, but I admired her zeal. Until the end when it said she reconsidered and took the money. George

I recognize Johnny Damon, but I haven't the faintest idea what the first clue is supposed to represent. George

Yes, the Illini football team played about two and a half good games this season. I can't believe they got pasted by PURDUE today. With three of the Illini basketball team's top players from last year gone, expectations aren't high for another 37-win season, but we'll see... George

Definitely "Layla," a really popular song at my frat parties in the '70's. After the fast part, there was a LOT of slow-dance time! :D I also have no idea what movie these songs were featured in. George

I guess I'm embarrassed because I DON'T!!! It does seem familiar; I just don't "hear" a tune associated with it. George
