  1. The quotes about strawberries and "getting some" were from an e-mail. I remember the Tony Randall quote because it really cracked me up. If a star doesn't know an answer, he can make up a bluff or just say he doesn't know. That's when Randall said he felt no less a man for not knowing. When a star doesn't give an answer, the contestant is given the opportunity to answer or let the star try another. I never saw a contestant try to answer, no matter how easy the question was. Anyway, Randall gets the next question and says, "I don't know that, either." Contestant passes. Randall answers the third question; contestant agrees, because TR would not answer one he didn't know. Contestant wins the square. You're up, Raf. George
  2. This would probably be the original series episode (I can't remember the title immediately) where Kirk taunts Spock to get him to shake off the effects of a plant. George
  3. Home Alone Joe Pesci My Cousin Vinnie George
  4. Mystery Men is correct. Go Raf! George
  5. After all the Catherine Bell (and other assorted babes) pics, I thought the ladies might like something a little different. (Not that I would pass up a chance to work a babe in, as well!) George
  6. It's up to Paw, but I think he was letting you have it, Chas. George
  7. I really don't think you're supposed to use the same actor that the movie was linked to, but what the heck, At least we're moving again. Shoot to Kill Kirstie Alley Madhouse George
  8. I had to google it. Not only don't I know the movie, I don't recognize any of the other actors. George
  9. Presumably a NG episode (Betazoids were unknown in Enterprise and original ST. I don't remember ever seeing one on Voyager, and only Lwaxana Troi on DS9.). It might be the one where Troi has a brief liaison with a negotiator who I think was also Betazoid. If not, we need another clue! George

As a warm-up for the Nov. festivities, I'd like to invite you all to the 18th annual "Thank God I'm not a Pig" roast at Quintana Beach Park (near Freeport) on Saturday, Oct. 14, from noon to 5 PM. As always, music will be provided by the "Porkestra" (the Lake Jackson Traditional Jazz Band), and there will be games for the kids, including the "Pigyata." Ex10 might be the only one close enough (Quintana is 60 mi. south of Houston), but let me know if you'd like to come, and I'll send directions. (The affair is free, though there will be a jar for donations to the Brazoria County Youth Homes.) George P.S. The theme this year is "Pigs on a Plane."
  11. Okay, now it gets easy: I'll take Charlie Weaver to block. George
  12. I still don't know who the guy is, but I'll guess "The Black Dahlia." George
  13. Interesting choice, but no. I'll give a REALLY EASY clue tomorrow, George
  14. Correct, of course. Your turn (again). George
  15. Someone needs to put this one to bed. George
  16. Here's another quote (neither speaker is Tony Randall): "You're growing strawberries in your garden. Do you expect to get any the first year?" "No, I'm too busy growing strawberries in my garden!" George
  17. Tony Randall would not have been considered a "star" of the show, although he made numerous appearances. George
  18. If the answer is "Gilmore Girls" I'd say he has it. Though I have no idea what the clues mean. (Okay, I get "Squirrels.") George
  19. Sounds like a switch from major to minor key. George
  20. It seems the only way I'll recognize a song anymore is to take Kathy's turn. Come on, Cactus is our friend He'll point out the way Come on, till the evenin' ends Till the evenin' ends George
  21. Irreconcilable Differences Ryan O'Neal So Fine George
  22. Well, that was obvious, even without the "P" and "B": "Pinky and the Brain." This one may be tough, so I'll mention that it was Tony Randall who gave this line: I don't know. And I feel no less a man for not knowing! George
