That's "Green Lantern." I did send a link to the CNN web page about it to my college roommate, also a big comic book fan. But I didn't think there would be enough interest at GS to put it here. If anyone's interested, here's the story. Martin Nodell created the original (1940's) Green Lantern. I grew up with the revised (60's) version. I really feel disappointed that I didn't go to see Gil Kane, the artist of that 60's GL, when he appeared at a comic book convention in Houston. It was a bad ice storm, and I decided in favor of safety. Kane died a couple of years later. George
